I have tea cups and saucers like these. One for every month of the year. They were a wedding gift.

Ooooo--reminds me of going on trail rides when I was a kid. Fun.

Happy Valentine's Day to you too!

My question would be, and this is off-track, are there many obese people in these villages?

George Strait looks a lot like my Dad. My Dad had perfect teeth.

I only saw the photo in the newspaper. Here the delicate colors come out. Yes, she's a beauty--and rare. It was the bottom of a drinking cup, so you saw the image at the end or just a lovely knickknack for a noble villa.

Yup. The squirrels have been in their new digs since before Christmas. Now they're right across the landing. The littlest squirrel will be 4 in a couple of weeks. He wants to make hot chocolate with me. We did that after school today. I had my bone density scan done. My bones are in great shape--haven't changed much in 10…

This is Hadrian--the emperor on your coin.

Did you manage to get the coins out of your car?

I'd put some chewing gum on a thin stick. That's what they show when coins fall in a sewer grate. :D

They say to try chewing gum.

I'm not surprised. :)

Your bf has moved on--and you haven't.

I hadn't seen or heard this. Liked it a lot. "Spirit in the Dark". Light up your spirit in the dark.

Forget family support. You just do you. Depending on others to help you along isn't necessary. YOU need to decide what you're going to eat. YOU need to decide when, how, and if you're going to exercise. When you are ready, you'll do it.

As Pav mentioned, we don't have your stats. Your body changes as it matures, you don't stay the same. I would encourage you to start good habits now that will see you well for the rest of your life. Exercise, eating the correct amount for your height and age, and no quick fixes. Start a program for the future you NOW. Just…

Since they cleaned him up he looks a lot better. A different person :D He'll wind up in a museum.

Yup, things are shifting around. It very well could chain react to us. Things are busy here. They just dug up a Roman statue of an emperor dressed as Hercules (lion skin with the head on and the paws crossed over the breast). Beautiful statue, life size. They were digging up an old sewer to fix it and the backhoe hit the…

Not long--once I asked. :D Funny though. My mother's mother and her sister were extremely good cooks in a small town in Minnesota. When I graduated and moved into the city (Minneapolis) to work as an Interior Designer, I lived with my mother's aunt. Her husband had just died and she lived alone. Since her cooking was…

Yes I saw and knew you'd be on top of it. Last night (our time) the Forum was a mess. More glitches--sigh. So, I couldn't respond. It's a terrible thing, so many dead, injured, and in the cold with nothing. Breaks my heart. Poor folks.

I liked your post very much. Great ideas!

My take--you need both. Recipes help you replicate a dish (my MIL made several things that the family loved, and so, in tribute to her memory, I make them now and again. I need the recipe to make them). And, when I'm trying something new I do a recipe search and follow it for the first time. Otherwise, I cook for a family…

I've been doing acquagym for 25 yrs. I also swim. Yes, it's easier on your joints--I have OA. There are different levels of acquagym. It can be an excellent workout.

Excellent post by @AnnPT77. When I get discouraged I read the "success threads". It gives me enthusiasm to read how people overcame obstacles to lose weight.

You don't get brownie points for working out evenings. Just do what suits you and tune out any well meaning friends. I, myself, like mornings because I have more energy. I'm dragging my tail by afternoon.

So, as usual, we can say --follow the money. And here I thought it made no difference if you were addicted or not. You still have to do the same things.
