I am no expert when it comes to dieting, and I am sure a bunch of people will give you more scientific answers. But it sounds like you aren't eating enough. Of course I am saying that without knowing your stats so I may be off base. There is a reason that MFP and even Weight Watchers adds calories/points to your day after…

I was over 300 pounds when I started. I am also asthmatic so my story may not apply but... I started the same way, wanted to run a 5k by Feb of next year. I went from 0 activity to walking 2 miles everyday at lunch. I decided after a couple of months that I would be ready for week one. Well my legs seemed to be ready, but…

Light Sour Cream and brown sugar to taste. Perfect for Strawberries and Apples.

I use mapmyrun, but I also use Charity Miles. It donates to charity for every mile you walk/run/bike.

1-1/3 cups soy sauce 1/3 cup Mirin rice cooking wine* (or other white wine) 1/2 cup honey 1 tablespoon minced garlic 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger 2-3 tablespoons Sriracha chili sauce I use this on chicken breast, and got the idea from a wing recipe here: http://www.theyummylife.com/honey_teriyaki_hot_wings

There are two things I like to do with them. The first is a pizza which has been mentioned. I use low fat ricotta and a splash of pasta sause. Top with a sprinkle of shredded cheese and turkey pepperoni bake for 10-15 min: The other is a laughing cow cheese wedge split between two caps, a raw egg in each cap, cover with…

This is my favorite chicken recipe. I substitute boneless skinless chicken breast for the wings. Ingredients 3-4 lbs. chicken wings 1 tablespoon corn starch 1-1/3 cups soy sauce 1/3 cup Mirin rice cooking wine* (or other white wine) 1/2 cup honey 1 tablespoon minced garlic 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger 2-3 tablespoons…

I am pretty overweight (have lost 30 lbs but still want to lose 80 more) and have been pretty inactive until I recently started walking 2 miles a day. Anyone think this would be good for me?

The real problem with this is having a bag of Doritos in the house... Will have to buy a snack size bag.

Great minds think alike :)

I used to make something similar when I was on weight watchers. Here is the variation I used: 8 mini Keebler pie crusts 1 .3 oz package sugar-free Jell-O, lime flavor 1/4 cup boiling water 2 6 oz containers fat-free yogurt, key lime flavor 1 8 oz container fat-free Cool Whip In large bowl, dissolve Jell-O in boiling water.…

If you have a crock pot and a freezer: http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?recipe=748803 Make that recipe (double it so there are tons of leftovers). Freeze individual servings in bags. When you are ready to eat it drop the bag in some almost boiling water to thaw. Once the meal is made and frozen, thawing…

With noodles it has become my favorite packed lunch. Without noodles my favorite Asian side dish. Thanks again for the recipe.

Made these this evening. Very good. I drizzled on a small amount of honey, which made these perfect.

They don't fool you into thinking you are eating real crust but the are good anyway. I like to use laughing cow light, onion, and pepperoni. Top with turkey pepperoni ,sauce and light shredded cheese.
-
And very easy. I spread a laughing cow light wedge on the port a Bella but you could use half on each, add some chopped onion, crack the egg in the mushroom and bake at 375 for 20 min. When I pull them out I put chunks of tomato and sriracha.

I love to bake my eggs in Portabella mushrooms (I have been addicted to them lately)

I posted this in another thread but Target is clearing out the basic model in blue. The fitbit zip only covers steps, calories and distance. It doesn't cover sleeping and stairs like the higher end models. www.target.com/p/fitbit-zip-wireless-activity-tracker-blue-fb301b/-/A-14247767 If you hit the find it in store button…

I only eat my workout calories if I need to (hunger). Ever since I got my fitbit it has given me a lot more calories than I thought I should have (I am more active than I thought I was). If I am hungry I allow myself a little more cheese in a dish for flavor, or a little extra meat on the plate compared to the veggies. I…

Ttiiggzz, this model fitbit comes with a replaceable watch battery, not a rechargeable. From what I can tell you can't turn off the Bluetooth on the zip. But I have had this for a little more than a week and the battery is still at 100%.

Making this with noodles for lunch tomorrow.

Use charity miles to earn money for your favorite charity when you walk, run or bike. I earn for Autism Speaks :)
-
After starting mine I realized I walk more than I had thought. Linking it to MFP automatically adjusts calories. I haven't been eating the extra calories, but it is nice to know exactly how much I have burned.

Let me add to this by saying you may want to look into an iPad. I know people with Android (myself included) generally shy away anything apple. But as an owner of an android phone and android tablet there is just not a big enough difference between owning the two. I like having an iPad so I have different apps to play with…

The note 10.1 is cool because you have use of the stylus (works great on the Note 2) But if I was getting a new 10" tablet I would try to get my hands on the 10" nexus. Nothing like having all the new OS features right away.
