Last time I went to a large chain buffet place it was on a Sunday. After church crowd. It was so crowded you had to wait in line to get anything. I had this sudden vision of us not being humans at a buffet, but swine at a trough. I don't think I'll go back.

So you do exersise.Going to the gym is not the only way to exersise. Move as much as you can. A bike a few times a week is great for somebody in pain. You are probably doing more then you think.
-
I do not exercise. I move allot and sometimes I ride my bike. I knew a very in shape and smart older lady years ago. I asked her if she went to the gym. She said she just moves allot and eats in moderation. She also said she was too busy living life to be in a gym for an hour or more a day. I just saw her last year again…

So far so good if anybody is still following this thread. The main thing I am doing differently so far is whole fat milk. I also bought regular sherbet instead of low fat frozen yogurt. We had burritos with full fat cheese, but I used fat free re-fried beans. I figure those are just mushed up beans that haven't been fried…

I think it tastes disgusting. It is supposed to hydrate you better then water. Help you lose weight Etc. I personally think its just another fad. Any time something comes around that people say cures everything I'm skeptical. It's worth a try if you're curious. I can't see how it would hurt you.

I think it helps curb your appetite. It does have about 5 calories a piece so it can add up if you don't count it. I grind my teeth and have pretty big fillings so chewing gum was making my teeth hurt. I used to chew about half a pack a day.

Thanks for all the input, guys. I'll let you know how it goes.

Going to check that book out.

They only have one listed that isn't a few hours away. They don't answer the phone and have no email listed. Thank you for the tip though.

Yes here too, but there is a growing raw milk movement. The thinking is that pasteurizing kills the good as well as the bad and that now that we have cleaner dairy farms and faster transportation spoilage is not as much of an issue.
-
Milk that has not been pasteurized. Basically straight from the cow. There is allot of controversy about it here.
-
I really want raw milk, but have not been able to find a supplier............ yet
-
And more sugar.

I meant if it is full fat already and the fat needs to be taken out I won't eat it. I will still eat foods that are low fat. Just not low fat that had to have the fat taken out to become low fat. Years ago I had a book called "Whole Foods for the Whole Family" that I got from some friends from La Leche League anf followed…

Exactly! Did you read the same article? I love Dr Oz!
-
YES I have been eating clean (mostly) but the full fat is new. I read the recent Time article by Dr. Oz and it made sense in allot of ways especially this one. The obesity epidemic seems to have gotten so much worse since low fat everything has flooded the market.

Nibbling on yummy, healthy food at work all day (back when I worked) and having someone say "I wish I could eat all that food and stay skinny like you, you're so lucky". The person was eating Ramen and cheese with crackers...

Pocky chocolate mint sticks. Not the best choice, but it seems like allot of those yummy sticks for 130 calories. YUM

I'm dying to know what you chose!

Go ask Alice by Jefferson Airplane, its really about drugs but its kinda creep sounding. Jonathan Coulton's song "Creepy Doll" is good also.
-
I cannot go to them. I always over eat when I do. I want to try everything, and even if its a tablespoon of all that fattening its way too much.

Love that word "transformation"
-
Just saw the pictures and you look beautiful!

I would just concentrate on being strong. Don't let this crazy world where size zero is a normal size for Hollywood get to you. You FEEL STRONG! Real women are strong in so many ways. So you don't look like a 16 year old model. So what. A 16 year old model would have passed out after the first piece of washed out stairs.
-
Heck yeah it does!

She said she's 5'10
