I've logged daily for 6 months. Either right before or after I eat. If I have something special planned I'll log it ahead of time to help plan the rest of my day. I keep at it because it works! :)

I was a playstation junkie for years (Nintendo before that), but then PS3 and xbox360 came out and the 360 was cheaper (and had more of the games I like to play) so now we have an xbox. lol I ALWAYS wait a while for them to work out bugs and put out more games (and bring down the price) and then decide on which console to…

So much this. :) I was 135 for the longest time, but I was constantly taking diet pills and barely eating. Then I got married and hubby was having none of that. Gained up to 185 before I started losing. I've found, as an adult that eats, 145-150 is a much more realistic (and still sexay) weight for me. You'll know it when…

I lost 30lbs eating between 1500-1600 cals (set to 1lb/wk; recently set it to .5). I recalculated after every couple of pounds and just stayed slightly under what MFP says. Oh, and I eat back most of my exercise cals since I'm set to sedentary.

Never. If money was that tight I'd resort to prostitution before abandoning any of my babies.

I don't know about weight training, but my mom swears that lots and lots of walking was the best thing she ever did while pregnant. She didn't walk with my middle sister and that was the only birth that hurt. *looks around* Congrats and good luck!

Anything you don't find appetizing anymore. ;) Or anything you develop an allergy to.

I could say "never" or "always" depending on how you look at it. I eat what I want, when I want. Just smaller portions to stay under my calorie goal. If I go over I do more cardio. I've already lost the weight once by drastically changing my diet and gained it all back. This time I'm learning how much I can eat of the…

I'm 5'6" 154 and my daily goal is 1530 cals. If you're doing that much Insanity on only 1200cals then your body is probably hanging on to every bit that you go over on the other days. You don't have that much to lose. Set your loss to half a pound a week and try eating back some of your exercise cals. That should make you…

Just my two cents: Are you SURE that it was "you helping her" and "lack of motivation"? It could be that her motivation was the two of you sharing something and doing it together and then when you wanted her to start doing it herself it hurt her. Maybe she'd rather share it with you than do it on her own.

That is amazing!! Congratulations! :flowerforyou:

Try different stuff and see what works for you. I eat back my exercise calories and that works for me as long as I stay under overall. Some people don't eat back any. Some people eat back half. If you have extra cals from exercise and find yourself hungry: eat. :flowerforyou:

Once I ate a whole sheet-cake's worth of cornbread (smothered in butter, of course) AND an entire pecan pie all to myself. My only defense? It was my birthday...

Texas summer. Once the temperature gets over 100 I'm out. Only thing I'm motivated to do is take a nap 'til fall.

Tie between almonds and cashews. Least favorite: Walnuts. They taste like old paper to me.

So much this. My diary is open if you wanna see what I've been eating the past few months.

This. My thighs have ALWAYS rubbed together (since I was a boney little kid) so shorts under my skirts/dresses was never an exclusively modesty-based thing... :grumble:

If an arbitrary label on a piece of clothing means that much to you, then shop around. Clothing size varies by style and manufacturer and you can probably find a size 12 somewhere that fits regardless of how much you lose...

Confirmed junk food eater here. :drinker: Lost almost 28lbs so far and feeling much better about my future sustainability than the last time I lost this weight by cutting out the foods I love. And ultimately went back to. Moderation!

I didn't notice, but you're right!

So if someone swings both ways s/he isn't allowed to have any friends?
-
Yep. As far as the married thing, we don't generally hang out one-on-one with a friend of the opposite sex (tbh we don't tend to go out much at all lol) but we trust each other enough to not freak out over the other being in mixed company if we're not around. We have an agreement that if there is a physical attraction…

This! I'm not ashamed to admit that's exactly how I put meals together. Not that I can't cook actual recipes, I just don't like spending that much time in the kitchen.
-
I'm set to sedentary and have a push mower so, yeah, I log it. It's extra movement I don't get in my day-to-day.
-
Hilarious timing! I was sitting here not really hungry, but with two pre-logged cookies sitting in my purse. I figured "I'll eat one now and then have one later". After the first cookie suddenly I'm ravenous. Now the second cookie is gone and I'm okay again even though one cookie wouldn't *really* do it if I were…
-
Ditto here! :drinker: I just pre-log it to see what I'm working with and plan out the rest of my day accordingly. You don't HAVE to cut out anything you don't want to. (barring a medical condition that requires it) *I only have about two strawberitas a month or so

I've lost 27lbs eating pizza and drinking mt dew....
-
I've done that!! Freaked my hubby a bit cuz it was a 3lb loss, but I had been constipated all that week....
-
Consider yourself thoroughly praised!! :drinker: You have a solid plan and I, for one, commend it. :flowerforyou:
