  • ^^^This and this: Also, why does your daily goal change so frequently? It seems like you're making it harder than it has to be. I'm at 160 and losing on over 1500cals/day. Go into your settings and change it to lose 1lb a week and just leave it until it tells you to update. You'll get to eat more, feel less deprived, and…
  • Fallout! Liked 3, LOVED New Vegas. Played through each about 10 times. Can't wait for a new one!! ETA: Also Sims
  • Yay! Mystery solved. eta: Congrats on being halfway there! *high fives*
  • Absolutely. Lost all this weight before, gained it right back. I do NOT intend to go through this AGAIN. :grumble:
  • Mine was like that for a while. I had gained about 10lbs between initially setting everything up and starting... Go into your settings and make sure you have your ticker/profile set to the correct starting weight. If that's not it.... then I have no idea. Sorry. :flowerforyou:
  • Last time I drank I had two strawberitas (the big cans), but I knew ahead of time I was going to so I calculated the calories, plus my food and just got on the bike (two hours) until I was back in a deficit before I started drinking. :flowerforyou:
  • ^^^This!! When I was in school random girls would call me fat right to my face and laugh. I was 5'6" 135. I believed them. I know now the problem wasn't me; it was them. Whenever somebody says something nasty about someone else, it's always them and not the target that's the problem. If you can keep that in your heart…
  • That's not bad at all. Don't be so hard on yourself. Hubby and I go for fast food almost every day for lunch and I'm still losing weight. You just eat less. Sonic is especially good because they have their lower calorie offerings marked right on the menu. :flowerforyou: Kids meals are also good for that because they're…
  • My mom went to high school with twin girls named Candy and Coke. Last name: Kane. -_-
  • Wow..... I'm 5'6" and 162 and you look WAY better than I do. *jaw drops* Rock it, girl!
  • Sweet accomplishment!! *high fives* I know how good that must feel. First time I went to Old Navy with my friend I basically held her purse and tried on silly clearance-rack hats... Edited: Re-read your post and since you asked - Went to Kohl's today with that same friend and managed to squeeze my butt into a pair of jeans…
  • I haven't even learned to like the idea of running. I can bike my butt off for almost two hours if I set my mind to it, but last time hubby wanted me to run I got 13 steps before I just couldn't make myself do it anymore. lol If it's something you WANT to do, though, then that's a big first step. Don't worry so much about…
  • Since you don't intend to actually rub their faces in it, go for it. lol IMO it's a healthier motivation than constantly comparing yourself to photoshopped magazine pictures of people with drastically different body types from yours. :flowerforyou: Good luck and go get 'em!!
  • I eat sweets when I want sweets. I usually keep a box of milk duds or bag of gummies around because they have a pretty good weight-to-calorie payoff. I just make them fit into my calories for the day and if I go over I walk around a bit. For me it works out way better than trying to deny myself because then I will binge.
  • Absolutely! When we still had our cocker-mix, Elvis, sometimes I'd wake up with him on my legs, hubby's knees in my back, and Onyx (my cat) suffocating my head. It was the most comforting feeling because I knew my whole family was right there with me. Besides, there's nothing better than a hot-bodied furbaby on a…
  • In my own experience I'll tell ya, mothers are HARD. Yes you care, but she's still your mother. Push too hard and she'll fall back on that. Keep going on the walks with her, and when you do go shopping with her pick one thing and be like "maybe try this instead?". Rome wasn't built in a day and some people need time. Be…
  • This. Size 0 was not always the standard and I personally believe curves are beautiful. I also believe that what a person looks like, what they eat, what they wear and how they choose to live their life is their own business. Not mine or anybody else's. If you don't like the way you look, change it. If you don't like the…
  • *high fives Bella* I know how good that feels! I weighed more than mine for... eight years? So glad the scales are reversed.
  • I just squeezed back into the little pink panties I bought last time I lost weight. *self high five* Still got a bit to go, but I'm definitely on the right track.
  • ^^^This. OMG I was so surprised when I saw that! I use a push mower for an hour and a half each time so I definitely log that. I'm sedentary as well (and have my MFP stuff set to reflect that) so I would totally log house painting.
  • OMG Great job!!! Both of you! ^_^
  • I think I gain first in my gut or maybe my back since it's usually pretty out of control by the time I notice, but then I start noticing loss first in my shoulders of all places... usually when I'm brushing my teeth I think "hey, my shoulders are looking GOOD!" That's how I know I'm on the right track.
  • That's about where I am (just a little taller) with the same goal! Set your loss to 1lb/week to give you more calories and eat back 1/2 to 3/4 of your exersize calories. That will put you between 1400-1500 intake per day but you should still lose between 1-2lbs/week and stop the dizzies. Good luck! :flowerforyou:
  • There actually is a nail polish line geared towards men. It's called Man Glaze, and no I'm not kidding.
  • One thing to look out for when switching to diet soda is that some people (like myself) have bad reactions to the fake sugar that's put in them. I tried switching to diet cola and it gave me migraines. I still have my soda (the regular kind), but I only drink half a day or cut other sweets if I want to fit it in. The best…
  • ^^this I started two months ago at 185 (and I'm only 5'6" so you're up on me there) and to lose a pound a week my goal was 1430. I still eat out and have sweets, but I track my exercise and calories and make sure to only eat back about half of my exercise calories. Give or take. I've lost 10lbs so far using the site to…
  • If it helps at all I sit here at my computer almost all day. I go to the grocery store for food every day (our fridge doesn't work so we don't buy in bulk) and make myself get on the stationary bike (a slow-pedaled 30-40 minutes a day), but beyond that I sit here. I paint my nails, read through forumsblogs, watch internet…
  • Thank you. :flowerforyou: I'm not looking to lose much (about 35lbs) and I just couldn't stand losing too much boob. You give me hope.
  • Glad to hear it. :) Keep lifting if that's what you want to do and best of luck!!
