Joining in a little late... I've been trying to increase my cardio (I prefer weights/pilates), so this might help keep me committed & accountable :) I work from home, so my workouts are spread over the day. 10/1 - 30 treadmill, 15 elliptical, 30 free & body weights, 40 reformer pilates = 115 10/2 - 20 treadmill, 15…

Totally uncalled for. OP went from approx 130 lb to 101 lb in a year. With less to lose, it can go much slower for a healthy & sustainable loss. I hope others are more supportive of your success. Awesome work, OP!

I'm 46, 3 kids, 5' 6", went from 170 to 127, have stabilized around 130. My route: 1) log everything & keep at my 1200 by making better food choices & eating smaller amount of the not-so-good choices that I love. Once I got meals figured out, I had no problem sticking to it. 2) understand that exercise is not going to make…

I'm at the end stage of where you are if you want to add me for support. I took a year off and returned for a final push. 5' 6" SW:170, CW:130, GW:125.

I second this. I hate cardio. Always have. It bores the **** out of me. But I do enjoy kickboxing etc. My latest one is an advanced tae bo workout. I don't want to link to a video, but if you search YouTube for "Tae Bo Advanced YouTube Exclusive," you'll find it. It's an authorized video (i.e. not pirated.) I do a modified…

Mine is open to friends. I'm just starting to explore the "community" aspect of MFP, so feel free to add me--OP or others.

I'm not new here...took some time off and now coming back for the final push. Feel free to add me. As part of my "final push," I've decided I really should be a little less anti-social and get some friends :) Congrats on getting married and, yes, very cool job.

I haven't been logging or counting since December, but I am mindful of what I eat. Eight months of logging taught me to better evaluate my choices, and if I'm making one I know is high calorie, I eat less of it...or if I really want the whole thing, I adjust my eating afterward to compensate. I'm a daily weigher--first…

I agree it isn't about being "skinny" but being healthy and fit. For me, the weight loss is absolutely worth it, not because I believe there's anything wrong with being fit and healthy at a heavier weight, but because I was miserable at a size 14. It wasn't what I was accustomed to, and I felt every one of those extra…

My big one lately was going to buy a new leather jacket. The sales guy suggested a corset-style one (which I wouldn't have dared wear a year ago) He asked what size. I said medium and he gives me a doubtful look, and I'm thinking "Crap, he's going to say I should try a large," and he says "You're a small, maybe even extra…

Great topic! I joined Feb 2013. Started at 170 (my highest weight ever) and am now 132. I'd like to lose a few more pounds from belly and thighs, but mainly so I can see the strength-training results better :) That's my focus now--pumping up the training, which I've been doing throughout. The weight crept up over the last…

I'm going to throw in a general pointer for dealing with the "what order do the books go in" problem. When in doubt, check the author's website. Authors know it's an issue, and a frustrating one for readers. It seems obvious that the book order should go on the cover, right? "A Song of Ice and Fire: Book 1." But publishers…

I started Thurs, so if I can join, that'd be great. Helps keep me accountable :)

Check out Sodastream's My Water. It's a couple drops of flavoring to a glass. Lots of fruit varieties, .No calories. I use it in carbonated and flat water. Edited to clarify that it's unsweetened. Just flavor, no sweeteners.
