Coupling your ab circuit with cardio such as running or swimming will reveal your abs more quickly than crunches alone. I have seen a lot of progress when incorporating a large variety of ab exercises into my routine as well, instead of limiting it to just sit-ups, etc. Try toe-touches, 100's, scissorkicks, leg lowers and…

Lots of sweet potatoes!

You look beautiful. Noticeable difference :)

Tempting, but not honest. You asked ;)

I read an awesome article yesterday that cleared it up for me. It basically said that cardio makes you a smaller version of yourself, with all the existing strengths and weaknesses exposed. So if you have no muscle tone, it's going to show. The opposite also applies. I don't know about you but I'm not just going for a…

I eat a TON more when I haven't been exercising. Whether this is due to appetite suppression from my workout, or just an unwillingness to ruin everything I just worked for I don't know--all I know is I have little to no self-control when I'm sedentary. Also, when I'm feeling cheated out of food by my calorie restriction,…

Perhaps try a higher calorie bar for lunch, like a Clif Builders bar, if you think that adding more food would make you feel sick. It's a small change that will add a couple hundred extra calories a day.

I appreciate your logical personality and I understand that you're not depressed. So I will just put in my two cents: your body can take a hell of a lot more than you think. You're at least partially assuming, which is not logical or statistic-based, that you will die within the next year. This isn't fair to you or your…

I would think the easiest way to transition into keeping track of all your supplements would be to add up all the "extra" calories you consume in a day with those and then just quick add them every day. If your weight loss isn't being hindered currently then maybe it's not a big enough deal; once you get to the last few…

It's not medically recommended to lose much more than a pound of weight a week. But if you cut your intake to 1400, you will see weight loss regardless of what the nutrient density of the food is. The calories are what contributes to your weight; the nutrient content in those calories is what determines your health.

People are self-conscious, probably because people like you are staring at them.

portion sizes at restaurants were smaller. the size of an average hamburger has nearly doubled.

I had a far better morning after my 21st, I believe due to the fact that I drank a full glass of water in between each drink. This not only slowed me down but also kept me hydrated, which made my night last longer. And I felt great the next day! If you are REALLY looking for a low calorie drink, I'd go for straight…

No but you're awfully cute! :)

It depends what you have your activity level at. If you have it at sedentary, then I would take every opportunity to gain calories from cleaning! To me, it's about being honest with yourself about the day's activities. I have my account set at lightly active because I am on my feet in sales most of the day. But if I work a…

I have one or two of those days a week, on average, following several days of "being good". If I keep up a really solid exercise regime it's not as much of an issue. For one, I have less time to stare into my fridge. Secondarily, I usually feel more like showering and sleeping when I'm done than ruining everything I just…

Get it!!! :D

I replaced regular wheat bread with sara lee 45 calorie wheat. Smaller bread means less cheese and meat to make my sandwich look huge. I started using more lettuce, sprouts, mustard, and pickles on my sandwiches to take up room too. I also use sweet potatoes as a go-to lunch or low calorie dinner when I've eaten too much…

Good call.

That's the point when I usually launch into the vegetable's many positive attributes; i.e. what it does for eyesight, skin, hair, memory, etc. Then people get interested. They realize that you 1) know what you're doing and 2) are willing to share your expertise with them. Next thing you know they'll be eating them too! :)

I like mine with smart balance, cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg if I'm craving something sweet. They also make awesome fries if you bake them in the oven with a drizzle of olive oil, lemon pepper and cayenne. I also recently made a pudding out of sweet potatoes by cooking them, food processing them, and then mixing them with…

Shin splints can be caused by a variety of things: An increase in pace. An increase in mileage. Running in beat-in shoes. Heel striking. Compression socks and icing are extremely helpful. If you don't take care of shin splints they can turn into stress fractures.
