Arctic Monkeys, "Do I Wanna Know". SO GOOD FOR GYM TIMES.

No, but I am in Idaho. It's sorta/kinda close :)

Fructose is a great source of energy! Don't give up natural sugars providing you with healthy energy because your percentages are slightly off. You know your body, and you know what makes you feel great during a workout. My only advice would be to perhaps try eating half a banana instead and leave the rest in the peel for…

Another thing to keep in mind is that overall health, not just the appearance of health, is our goal. Any break you can give your body, whether you maintained it for 1 month or 5 months of 6 years, is a break that your body appreciated and used to heal and rebuild better than before.

I've run many half marathons and I still find myself in this boat more often than I would like. Some days just aren't running days! The best advice I can give is to re-approach your run next time with the goal of beating your previous workout. If you gave up at 25 minutes, make sure you make it to 26 this time. That way it…

I'm not seeing a ton of valid counterarguments here, so I rest my case. It seems we're resorting to petty insults and anonymous disrespect, neither of which suit me.

Fair enough. I feel the same way. There are always exceptions, social rule-breakers, and that possibility alone makes me uncomfortable.
-
I don't believe that because gays are subjected to unfair things in life that I should be as well. That theory defeats itself immediately.
-
I understand that some people are cool with it. I'm not, and I shouldn't have to be.
-
It would be possible to look. That makes me uncomfortable.

It would make me uncomfortable to some degree, but mostly I think it isn't fair for them to get a free show if they are attracted. Not cool.

Don't get overwhelmed! I think the key to sustainable healthy eating is making small, realistic substitutions. Find a few things you can replace with healthier (but still liked) things, and implement these changes a few at a time (or one each day/week, etc--whatever you can realistically handle). If you don't like fruit,…

People are just scared to be wrong, and I am always a little sketched out by mentioning someone's weight to them unless it's been previously mentioned to me. "Hey, have you lost weight?" sounds more like "I noticed you were fat before" to me. So please don't take it to heart. You look great :)

Maybe have your body fat percentage checked by a personal trainer. This could give some insight into whether you're gaining muscle or fat back.

I microwave a sweet potato and then put some Earth Balance and a little garlic salt or cinnamon on it :)

I use the preoloaded bars at my gym because the others always seem to be in use. For deadlifts I do 3 sets of 12 with the 90 lb bar. I feel like I could lift quite a bit more, but just fyi I am nursing what I believe to be a hamstring strain. For squats I use anything from the 40 lb bar to the 60.

I'm 5'7" and 135 lbs...I eat 1500ish calories a day to lose weight and add in weight lifting as a cardio activity when I lift. It doesn't give you a lot of calories back (I usually only earn back the calories for a low calorie protein shake or something like that). For weight maintenance I could eat probably 1650. I'm not…

It takes a while for the skin to catch up. And in some cases surgery becomes desirable because things don't snap back exactly like one would hope. But cross that bridge when you come to it, and in the meantime work on your hot bod. I recommend Shea butter in the meantime to improve skin elasticity :)

I'm 5'7" and 28.5" around the waist. I'm pretty straight up and down.
-
While you're waiting for that weight to come off, you can build your brutal bod. Haha I'm on the last 5 pounds and it's sooo annoying :)

Pinterest it up baby! There are tons of small tutorials under Health and Fitness. Simple and easy for a first-timer. I would recommend starting with some smaller dumbbells at home and walking through the exercises, and then once you feel a little more comfortable graduating to trying them at the gym in front of the mirrors…

I also do body pump, and the instructor told us one day that "we're not building big muscles like those meatheads out there...we're building functional muscle". If that's what you want then I see the class providing that via lower weight endurance training. But if you're looking to bulk up your already trained muscle…

VS models are actually very muscular, but their body fat percentage is extremely low as well due to their dietary restrictions and strict exercise regime. If you are ready to commit to something as strict as they endure on the dietary side, then do the leg lifts and expect the body of a goddess. But if you're eating just a…

Casual maintenance running will not trim your calves. It is the people that run through their muscle with tons of mileage a week that end up with teeny lean legs. I work at a running store so I know this. It would require a ton of commitment on your part and a lot less protein methinks. My opinion? Embrace your gorgeous…

Carbload with pizza and beer the night before. You'll need the energy.

Some bitty Buckle jeans. They are incredibly tight, but when I'm on track with my eating they at least zip. Haha :)

MFP is a wonderful tool for learning how to monitor and control eating patterns. But realistically, most of us are not going to maintain our usage of the site for the rest of our lives--and I think that's okay! Our bodies were designed to get more calories one day than the next, and to experience caloric fluctuations. I…
