  • I have trouble being extra hungry about a week before my period. Lately I have been satisfying my salty cravings with flavored seaweed sheets. For my sweet cravings I have been eating Justin's Organic Dark Chocolate 80 calorie peanut butter cups.
  • Congrats! It is a huge accomplishment. I too have about 3 garbage bags worth of clothes that I am either going to donate or try to sell. I have lost 82 pounds myself and started in the 250s. It took a long time for me to realize how much smaller I am. I still gravitate to the bigger clothes and love when my older clothes…
  • You look like a totally different person! Congrats on your transformation!! Your before picture has an 80s or 90s vibe. Didn't know they still took pictures in that style...that is cool!
  • Check out the site I mentioned for the nutritional aspect....it should help you with losing the rest of the weight you want to lose as well as tracking your calories on mfp. The strength training will help sculpt your body as you reach your goal. I hit about a year long plateau that I barely got off of the beginning of…
  • You could have started getting toned right at the beginning. I have been at this for almost three years and been doing cardio and weight training the entire time. You will start noticing a difference in your body and how your clothes fit. As far as your nutrition questions...There are a bunch of sites that get mentioned on…
  • When I ate at McDonalds I liked the quarter pounder with cheese, hazelnut iced coffee and an occasional cherry pie. Now...I never want to set foot in one again.... Don't want to waste my calories on any of it and never crave it either.
  • I am almost 38 and when I do the elliptical I try to shoot for the low 180s and occasionally get to 190+ but only for a few seconds. I don't follow what stuff tells me I should be at... I base it on how I feel. If I don't make it to at least 170 I don't feel I am working hard enough. But I am just doing 10-20 minutes of…
  • Awesome story! Have you reincorporated cheese and at least olive oil back in your life? Olive oil is a good healthy fat and cheese is good as long as you don't over do it and there are so many kinds of cheese with varying amounts of fat and calories. The harder cheeses tend to have less fat and calories. I couldn't live…
  • I was stuck on a plateau for like a year and my problem was consistency. What finally got me going again was tracking everything I was eating and staying within my calorie limit. It feels soooo good to see the scale moving again and I just need to keep at this. Hopefully you will find what you need to get moving again…

  • Ha! I wish I could lose a few cup sizes! I have been at this for over 2 and a half years and I have only lost 10 inches in the band measurement. I think that is awesome but wish the cup size would budge. :-\
  • I wouldn't call going over your calorie limit a surplus. It just means you went over your calories for the day. I would say try not to do it that often or at least not too far over. Regarding 1700 being too many calories...you'd be surprised at how easy and fast you can reach that if you are acuraterly recording everything…
  • Now that is hilarious!!
  • There are 3 kinds of sugar in there... Fruit sugar, sugar, and fake sugar - sucralose (Splenda). I would suggest not drinking this stuff. Find something else that has flavour but less sugar. You are probably going to find more fake sugar stuff though so you just have to figure out what you really want to be consuming.…
  • This is what TLC's "My 600 Pound Life" should be about not people trying to change their lives AFTER weight loss surgery. This was an awesome story of determination and triumph.
  • Really has nothing to do with eating it. If you want find out more about the warning check out the websites I referenced or just Google "proposition 65" and/or " toxic hot seat"
  • I know this is kind of late but I just got the Polar FT7 off Amazon and the box had this warning on it. It really concerned me because I had just recently watched http://www.toxichotseatmovie.com (gives more info: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/marcia-g-yerman/toxic-hot-seat-ignites-aw_b_4338572.html) which talks a lot…
  • Those do look awesome and congrats! What does NSV stand for? There are lots of acronyms used on this board that I have no idea what they stand for. There should be an acronym legend pinned somewhere. :-\
  • These are things I want to do possibly even on my way to my goal weight: 1. Indoor Soccer 2. Ride rollercoasters again 3. Get back into Skiing 4. Try snowboarding again 5. Do a police or military obstacle course 5. Wear a dress and heels I could probably say more but this is good for now I think
  • I mostly use the machines in my gym...Assisted Pulls ups and chin ups, Lat Pull, Flys, rear delts, low row, Overhead press, Leg Press, Chest press, etc....So these count too, right? Though I have been stuck at certain weights for awhile however when I feel that I can go up in weight I will. I always try to do 12 reps 3…
  • When I first read this topic I thought you were talking about regular tap water! Ha! I had to Google to find out what you were referring to. It appears these are the ingredients: Filtered Carbonated Water, Citric Acid, Natural Flavor, Potassium Citrate, Aspartame, Potassium Benzoate (A Preservative), Acesulfame Potassium.…
