Way to go you moms! You probably are burning way more than you think running after the kids and the stress. I'm a mother of two, a 10 and 12 year old. Life is just as stressful but different. I finally have time to exercise so that's the best thing about the kids getting older. I'm excited about this challenge. I cant wait…

Great article. I follow something very similar to this from a book called The Metabolism Miracle. It's helpful for people like me with hypothyroidism and hashimotos.

I thank you for posting this topic. I usually never go over in my macros and calories. But today I hade major issues and found myself face to face with caramel popcorn. I didn't know that the nutritional information was for a serving size of 1 OUNCE. I had about 12 before I stopped myself. Just that treat set me about 1600…

I think I'm your twin! This is what works for me too

Not to sound harsh ...but I think the OP knows the answer to this question already. If it were my daughter, I'd tell my daughter what I found out and the guy is bad news. Get him out of your life now. Any guy that I'd hope my daughter would make a life with would not be associating with meth.

THIS! I can't stand that this the norm. I have a pet peeve with the area where I live now they call a roof of a house a "ruff". I felt like a fool because I didn't understand them and when they elaborated I said "isn't that what a dog says." Another one is instead of saying "with you", they say "which you". I always want…

This ;). I also learned that broccoli, carrots and cauliflower (uncooked) gives me too much tummy trouble:blushing:

I use an app on my phone for bridge210k but I map out my route On my computer and enter my time on runkeeper.com. This website will give you a map you can set up and it will give you a pace per mile based on your time. It makes me feel productive by reeling me how many miles I run a month too.

I hope you rest and take it easyand feel better. I sprained my ankle in January last year and broke my heel the year before. I figured it out it was my running shoes. Take care :) I ran 10k today in 75 minutes. This was a milestone for me. I'm slow like molasses but I'm addicted to running now thanks toall of you on MFP!

:flowerforyou: I hope my story helps you. For twelve years now, I've done south beach, Atkins, weight watchers, and Jenny Craig. I've lost and regained more after each program. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 2oo6 and then hashimotos in late 2011. With each of these experiences I've shared it with my spouse, friends…

I have one rest day from exercise. But when it comes to food, if I have a cheat meal I have to accept that 1.) I will have water retention for two days. 2.) my stomach may hurt and GI issues to follow. 3.) there will be a weight gain with the water retention and I'll just have to be patient and not check the scale every…

This. I'm married 14 years with kids. Find a guy who enjoys doing physical exercises with you in his free time. Find a guy who loves to bike, hike, run, ski, and try new things. I knew my husband didn't like to do these things when I married him. I love him for many more qualities than less. But if I want to do these…

I started the app sometime in may. I cant believe how much it has helped me. I was never a runner. I used to be a sprinter in high school but could never run a mile. I completed the program with no injuries and with the success of running an official 5k straight, no stopping. I can't tell you what a rush it was. Now, I'm…

Snack size bags and small ziplock containers. When I get home from the grocery store, I'll take my favorite snacks out of their large containers and divide it up into the right portions. It really helps. My family hates it but at least it makes me accountable for what I'm eatting.:drinker:

I just looked up the Salomon XT Advanced Skin 5 S-Lab on google. Wow. Pretty high tech but $180 out of budget for me. Anyone know a less expensive version?

This exactly! When I'm doing the "in law cleaning" :noway: I wear my HRM too just to make it more worthwhile.
