Yes, it's the calories. Eat fewer calories than you burn, you will lose weight. However it's important to understand what will keep you satiated, and nourished. Failure to understand that will lead to burnout and non compliance to the deficit.

Yup, no bad food. My favorites, that I cannot be trusted, to not over indulge are, pizza and Mexican food.

I practice everything on your list, mind blown. I would add motivation to succeed came from within. Also when there is a hiccup (my recent 10 pound gain) it's get back to basics, refer to The List if you will. Few pounds from my fighting weight.

I'm a tall woman, I still got fat, and now I'm not.

Feminism means one thing to me. Choice. I choose to be slender and healthy.

Number one is my food scale, can't emphasis this enough. Next would be hitting my target calories everyday. Occasional cheat meal, not cheat day, lol. If I stumble on occasion, no self loathing, no feelings of failure etc. Having a positive, can do attitude, has been key for me as well. Oh yeah, not under eating is what…

Well I am married to one of those freaks of nature. No mindful eating, just a fidgety, fidgety, fidgety person. One more time, fidgety.

I prepare a similar salad, I log it.

Calorie deficit. You can't get there, with the amount you drink, at least not in a healthy manner.

If I am truly hungry, I eat. Something with protein, or an apple. Keep it no more than a hundred calories or so. Usually does the trick. To reiterate, if I'm truly hungry...

I'm a 57 year old , with a 70 pound weight loss. Did my former fat self make me look younger? Who knows, who cares! In my opinion ( the only one that matters) my former self was a frumpy, none stylish, slow moving, diminished dynamic person. Today I feel like an elegant, sexy, stylish gazelle. Yes I have wrinkles, who…

I've lost 70 Lbs. in menopause. Losing weight is no different for us. How are you calculating your caloric intake? My weight came off through honest and accurate weighing of my food. I did not eat all my exercise calories, some days I ate none of them. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of the food scale and self…

PB 2 is perfectly fine for me. I was never into peanut butter anyway. Makes a decent Apple dip.

You appear to have maturity and attention seeking issues. Address those, then address weight loss.

Raw almonds, almond butter, coffee

I found I could eat or I could drink. To lose weight I could not do both. Because I am a mature and responsible adult, you can guess which I choose to do. Sadness as I live in the Portland Metro.

I have my short list of regular meals for breakfast and lunch. Dinner is where I get creative. I will say it's time consuming, seeking out delicious lower cal, recipes. I have several "healthy" cook books I draw from, also Skinnytaste and Cooking light blogs. Pinterest is also a good resource.

I love oatmeal, I love chicken sausage. Together? Hmmm, can't even imagine.

I would guess all you are eating is low fat diet food. Try upping your healthy fats. Nuts, avocado, etc.

I will have a 30g serving of fiber one, and a hard boiled egg, if in a rush to get out the door. It's in my bag of tricks to never skip breakfast.

I've lost 70 pounds, I started at 55 years young. My experience was that it was pretty easy, steady, interesting and even fun. First I got my attitude in check. By that I mean, I was not going to accept that age was going to be a hinderence. Second I fine tuned my discipline. By that I mean, I was going to look inward for…

Yes I log vegetables. Why? Because I eat a ton of veggies every single day. Yum!

I have been maintaining with the use of my treadmill, by not consuming more than the extra 300 or so calories I burn on my 3 mile daily run. It is so easy to out eat your exercise efforts. Much better to track calories and focus on the treadmill for general fitness.

I am just a half inch shorter than you. Unless you are a special snowflake, your goal weight is too low.
-
OP you say you lost 70 pounds five years ago, so will use the same method? If it was such a good method, why are you back trying to lose it all again?

Anyone care to explain how estimating, underestimating, etc. is easier, smarter, faster than weighing? I guess if you are eating out a lot you don't have much choice, but preparing food at home, I just don't get it. My accuracy has enabled me to easily reach my goal of 70 pound loss, and more importantly maintain it. If I…
