  • water, glycogen....tom....I can fluctuate that much in a day....so don't worry..your body is amazing but it can't turn 600 cals of extra food into the 10,500 cals it would need to be fat....not enough cals and not enough time..so chill and just carry on as normal..all will be well
  • eeeeeeeeeeuw gross..but true
  • I wish LOL.....anyway don't let it get to you...anyone that says that is usually just jealous....otherwise if genuinely concerned they'd phrase it in a more concerned manner!
  • I have to agree with this poster, your carbs are quite high, I think I would up my protein & reduce the carbs..also bear in mind that when you eat all your cals every day..and eat your exercise calories back there is little room for error, so when you go way over on cals on one day..you need to peg those calories back on…
  • 9lbs in 4 weeks is just brilliant, so I would think that your body is just adjusting...its quite hard to lose very week. I would think its just coincidental that the week you work out is the week you don't lose......you are doing right to eat back your workout calories, especially as you are nursing...this is not the time…
  • OK so what time do you actually get up/ If you can't eat before 10am, how long after getting up is that? Have you started being quite active? Do you have a hot drink when you first get up before you shower or dress? It may be as simple as your digestive system has not woken. Try & have a hot drink when waking...sip hot…
  • I doubt you are doing anything wrong i just think you have to keep on eating healthy & not eating under your cals, exercise daily & eventually your body will 'trust' you and let you lose a little. Be patient though.
  • Sorry my dear i have just read your profile & see that you were anorexic when you were younger, I'm really sorry to tell you that your body will treat your attempts to become a lower weight which is verging on 'underweight' very differently as it is trying to protect you from becoming too thin. I really really would like…
  • It can be incredibly frustrating especially if you are close to your ideal weight. I see you are only 20..and its usually easy to lose weight at your age so there has to be a reason why you are not, however without further facts such as your present weight, height, build type, day to day lifestyle & of course what type of…
  • Its true, but you would only have lost that weight if everything else stayed the same...ie if changing the wine to water (now that does dound wrong LOL) created a calorie deficit each day! But it really is that simple.
  • Not banned anything, but since I started I have only had alcohol on 2 occasions, eat very little bread now, only have boiled or jacket potatoes, meat free sausages instead of the real thing. Hardly ever use butter, my olive oil bottle is at the same level as at Xmas..ah yes given up mayonnaise..but I do eat a little salad…
  • Agree with this, when you were not eating all the stored Glycogen from your liver has been used so this will have been replaced by your body and some....some or part of the initial weight loss will have been 'false weight loss' ie not metabolised fat.
  • Oh I simply love that way of looking at it....the bit about looking at the Brownie & knowing how much sweat it represents..excellent attitude that I will try to adopt! I am eating back 75% to all my exercise back, but still suffering from that 'guilty' feeling when I do after years of yo-yo dieting which involved sustained…
  • Congratulations to the Biggest Losers and also Southern Softies. lets go for it again this week....yeh...
  • Welcome, yes its scary, and in the first few weeks makes you realise that you really do have to make changes. However there is plenty of help & encouragement to be had on here. No one judges you, and everyone on here has or has had a similar problem..so just enjoy it.
  • That was mean of your OH, but very much a 'man' comment, they just don't think. Most hurtful thing i ever had said was when I told my Mum that I was getting married, she didn't even say congratulations she just carried on doing what she was doing and said " Well you'll have to lose a lot of weight if you want me to buy the…
  • No but I was on Xenical (the prescription version) twice...lost loads, then put it all back on again plus some...soooooo I recommend counting cals, exercising to tone......its a quick fix..its not a permanent solution.
  • 7lbs loss in about 6-7 weeks is a perfect weight loss...our bodies are not computerised machines, but they are a most amazing work of engineering....you may have been abusing it for years with fast food, junk, sweet stuff, chemicals etc etc..now you expect it just to do as its told & get healthy and slim overnight..get…
  • Ditto that......and as its Sat & you are in the UK with little chance of finding a Dr with a Sat surgery. (well in our area anyway).as you have feverish symptoms perhaps a visit to A & E?
  • Black Pudding..yum yum.......love it....
  • Fantastic well done..you guys look amazing, thanks for sharing..it shows what a difference less than a year can make.
  • Love eggs, have them most but not every day..always have and always will. My Doctor say my Cholesterol is lower than his!! Always free range though.....and whole.....the yolks are the best part- Yum
  • Oh Maria that is such good news to hear, it may be early days but it shows that your amazing body CAN recover.......
  • Depends as others have said where you eat..but I think 450 is wishful thinking for eat out/takeaway stuff..I would think 1000 is nearer the mark..but don't worry about it..just go for it, enjoy the meal then make tomorrow a good day..one day off will never do anyone any harm.
  • Your ID makes me think you like pancakes, so why not have some for breakfast but instead of with flour make them with oatbran..they are yummy, filling, easy and lots of fibre...you can have them with maple or agave syrup or with a fruit of your choice. They make a good dinner as well with something savoury or as a pudding.
  • Please don't follow this diet....if you want to starve yourself you go ahead but please don't try & convince others that you are following any of the ethics & values set by this site...no way
  • Hang on a minute your food diary tell a very different story from what you are saying. When you have completed it it shows you have been eating from 1200-1600 cals so where is the problem. You would find it easier as well if you had breakfast.
