  • For those in the UK try Yog available from Waitrose...its fat free & about 116 cals for 100gms....and not bad at all! http://www.yogyogurt.com/index.php?p=takehome Its a frozen yoghurt rather than a frozen whey protein like the Arctic Zero but its very good as a substitute for ice cream.
  • With respect if you are aiming to be toned & fit not just skinny you should not be looking as low as 110...because your muscle will make your scale weight more. You should be looking now at turning fat to muscle so therefore using measurements rather than scale weight. You already look amazing..do you really want to lose…
  • 1lb weight gain can be as simple as 1lb of water soluble fibre (veggies etc) still in your digestive tract......awaiting elimination if you get my drift..thats why daily weighing can be counter productive & sometimes depressing.
  • Congratulations, what an inspiration you are. You look so much younger, healthier & happier...wow wow wow.......well done.
  • Lol.....patience...you have a long journey...so just weigh yourself once a week. My bet will be that week 2 will show a big drop...for two reasons...one..you are eating a lot of fibre most of it water soluble...so common sense says that your gut will be holding quite a bit in digesting fibre...once your system is dealing…
  • Fantastic..well done...the health benefits have to make this journey worthwhile...the fact that you look 10 times better as well is a bonus!
  • Even wose for me as I've lost/gained/lost/gained over 40 years!!
  • Your reply is excellent to this post...however The OP has just edited HER original post to make those who answered previously look like Muppets.......methinks this was a TROLL (Note times of our postings & her editing)
  • Yes you would lose weight, however a high percentage of that weight loss would come from lean mass (muscle) rather than fat...even more so because you are a man. This loss would not however be healthy and eventually would decrease as the loss of MM would lower your calorie expenditure.
  • I'm in the dark choc camp as well...real chocolate that it!!...extra tip is break up the bar as soon as you buy it and wrap each piece in cling film then freeze them. Eat straight from the freezer..they melt soooo slowly and you get all the taste for so much longer.
  • Happy Birthday & Congratulations on giving yourself the Best Birthday present anyone else could give you. You have a wonderful future ahead of you due to having made that one decision! Excellent!!
  • Nothing is wrong..if you have lost 20lbs in 3 months you are right on target...an excellent slow weight loss that should stay off. Just keep to the programme of eat less..move more and let your weight take care of itself..patience...it took you a while to gain weight...it takes time to lose it.
  • Actually I was going to mention this very fact...your age suggests you might be in some stage of the menopause..so hormones may play a part..certainly worth getting this checked out.
  • Looking into your diary I think that your true weight may be being masked by water weight. As you only need to lose 5lbs perhaps you are better getting your body fat checked and work on reducing your percentage rather than trying to lose on the scales. If you eat too much sodium you will show heavier on the scales...if you…
  • I was once told by an eminent cosmetic surgeon that skin only sags whilst it still has fat underneath it. If you can manage to lose or convert all the fat to muscle then in time the skin will regain some shape. It will still wrinkle but not hang..although it does take time. I think I do tend to believe this..because having…
  • This is also brilliant and will answer your question better than I can http://body-improvements.com/resources/eat/
  • As long as you are netting between 1100-1200 calories a day you should be fine it does not matter what percentage of exercise calories you do or don't eat its the net that matters...however always take into account that whatever level you set..if you stay at the same net for long enough you body will get 'used' to it and…
  • Oatmeal without oats...have I got that right?.....and a healthy delicious apple made unhealthy by adding fat & high fruit sugar from dried fruit (24gms of sugar to 30gms of fruit!)..sorry I'll stick to my oatmeal made from oats & oatbran with a little soya milk to sweeten it.....but then I'm English...I probably don't 'get…
  • Who told you to reduce your sugar? If it was your Doctor then yes you should....if its just a weight loss factor then as long as you limmit your refined sugar intake no problem.
  • This is a very good site where everything is made very clear about diabetes, the foods you can eat and should avoid and good advice http://www.diabetesdietfordiabetic.com/
  • Correct...and a diabetic diet is a 'Low GI' Diet...which also happens to be pretty much low fat..so if you 'google' GI Diets you will be on the right lines. I'm amazed however that he did not give you any guidelines. Very poor help.
  • You can just dry them or roast them: Drying and roasting pumpkin seeds are two different processes. To dry- carefully wash pumpkin seeds to remove the clinging fibrous pumpkin tissue. Pumpkin seeds can be dried in the sun, in a dehydrator at 115 to 120 degrees F for 1 to 2 hours, or in an oven on warm for 3 to 4 hours.…
  • Brilliant, you have a great Boss by the souns of it.....1..He noticed...and 2 He didn't try to persuade you to change your mind. Well done!
  • Its strange you say you don't like green & crunchy so salads are out..well I'm the same..until I was given a baby leaf salad when eating out and I was 'pushed' to try it..and it was lovely..so I experimented & found that although I don't like standard green hard lettuce I do like the pink & red Italian Lollo rosso leaves,…
  • Don't get to hung up on long term goals....just set goals for each month or maybe 2-3 max then re-evaluate...otherwise its too easy to look at the long term goals and if you are not meeting the early ones get fed up & give up. Put more into your eating & exercise goals than weight ones....you can do it, there are plenty on…
  • IMO If you don't have a great amount to lose you should not go under 1200 calories too often...anyone eating healthily and exercising can lose weight on 1200-1500 calories.
  • Exactly a pound is a pound...muscle is more dense...so the same volume weighs more...and the other one related to it is..... I've been working out really hard this week & still managed to gain 2 pounds...answer...don't worry you've probably gained muscle.......yeah right..I bet all those body builders working out 3 or 4…
  • A pound of muscle weighs more than a pound of fat...my absolute favourite!!!
  • Hey there Trud..as one of your friends I know you are doing just fine......you have been losing steadily this year..2-3lbs on many weeks....I think it is a coincidence that you have stalled at the same weight..and really a couple of weeks stall does not really make a plateau. You must remember we have bodies not…
