  • I've been begging for a pasta roller for ages. Some day!!
  • Overall, I support this post. I was harsh calling noodles and cheese "garbage" and while my personal opinion has not changed it is just that. An opinion.
  • I'm still kicking, lol! :D
  • And you know what-- you don't have to! This recipe is for people that might want to try something a little different.
  • Depends on the quality of the noodle and the bread. White noodles have lower micro nutrients than nutrient dense flaxseed bread.
  • I completely understand your point. And I think MFP has a lot of misinformation on the boards. Was not my intention to contribute to that.
  • ^^^ Best comment so far. :D
  • It really does! I was totally surprised. Just make sure to toast it well enough that most of the moisture is gone before adding it to the bake.
  • And that's totally fine by me! It was a play on words, but the internet/text just doesn't translate that very well sometimes.
  • I could care less what anyone calls it. I adapted from a recipe that called it a lasagna. Rational: Remove noodle + add other wheat product (bread) Similar enough? Apparently not for the overly offended Italians, it seems? >_>
  • This isn't a restriction for me. I don't eat dairy so cheese is a non issue. As for pasta, I've never been a big fan anyway. I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. :)
  • I'm a vegan. I've lost 111 pounds. For me (and most others): "White pasta + too much cheese + highly saturated fatty meat" = lasagna IS garbage. Modifying classics to meet a better diet is, in no way, a bad thing. Borrowing the name of a type of dish is also not a crime.
  • Sounds magical! I'll be sure to try it sometime. :)
  • Because no Italian has ever substituted another wheat product for the noodle, amirite? Oh wait-- my family _has_ done that, lol.
  • Let me know when you'd try it! We loved it. :)
  • It's just a play on the original concept with bread substituted for the noodles. No big deal, lol.
  • It's in quotes! As in "lasagna". See what I did there?
  • None-- and we'll keep searching until we find the bottom of this rabbit hole.
  • Perhaps some day? My brother is 5'10" and weighs about 320 right now (eating convenience store and fast food). Yet I cannot seem to convince any of them how much better off they'd be. To each his own and let the haters hate. It's in their hands-- I learned a long time ago that you can't force a person out of their…
  • ^^^THIS, lol With that said, my family constantly makes a habit of pointing out how inconvenient of me it is to be vegan. Either when we go out or cook at home. I have in the past, and continue to, offer to bring my own foods, but that seems to upset them even more. When I challenge their, "HUMANS ARE MEANT TO EAT MEAT,"…
  • My boyfriend and I got Fitbit Ones through my work's wellness program and we LOVE them. Since the day we got them we've hardly taken them off. I love that it works with gym machines, like treadmills, and is small enough to be hidden even when I'm wearing formal dresses (had it one when I went to a wedding in a cute little…
  • She has one of my favorite blogs of all time. All the food is amazing and the photos are fabulous. Glad she's getting shared around here! :D
  • ^^^ This is the most correct answer so far. Each body is different. Your age, activity level, gender, eating habits, etc. all play a part in what makes the best body composition for _you_. You need to look at your lean muscle to fat ratio and decide what is the most ideal weight for you as an individual. Good luck!
  • 1. Steam them in a pot or in the microwave. 2. Drizzle with melted butter (I used Smart Balance Light) or extra virgin olive oil. 3. Sprinkle with some fresh chopped dill and salt/pepper to taste. 4. Enjoy!
  • ^^^ I believe that is most of the people on this site, lol. I get the feeling that most of the just sort of side with Bill O'Reilly, much like the tides.
  • So here's the thing. The statement, "Eating fruit will make me fat," is too vague. If you're eating 5,000 calories worth of fruit each day and are not consuming enough protein or fats to complement the rest of your diet you're going to be unhealthy (weight aside for a moment). You need to find a happy medium. Currently the…
