  • My boyfriend and I feel in love with this one: http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/recipe/chipotle-veggie-stew It makes (at least) 10 146 calorie servings. I mean, like 2 cup servings, not a dinky little bowl. It's delish! Also this one: http://nicoleeats.com/2012/11/19/meatless-monday-moms-curried-lentil-soup/ It makes 6 167…
  • Here are some good ones I've posted on my blog: Quick skillet granola (and parfait): http://www.willowandthyme.com/2013/08/27/recipe-snappy-skillet-pumpkin-granola/ Steamed veggies and tofu scramble: http://www.willowandthyme.com/2013/08/26/meatless-monday-mornings-steamed-veggies-and-tofu-scramble Autumn Cider Granola:…
  • I wasn't surprised at all. Disappointed, perhaps. At the state of it all, but certainly not surprised.
  • Same. Depending on my veg and the recipe I'm making I'll often use lemon or lime.
  • There are some great resources all over the net. And I hate a be a snarky *kitten*, but I'm going just going to leave this here: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Quinoa+recipes http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Benefits+of+quinoa (I do this only because there are a lot of places out there that I think can give you a more comprehensive outlook on…
  • Try a variety of different brands and see what you think! Settle on the one you like the best. I also believe it goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway, white balsamic is different than its darker counterpart. Good luck finding one you love!
  • I, for one, have no idea what about this would have been offensive at all. I've been in and out of weight rooms for most of my adult life, and the first thing you learn is to focus on yourself. You're not there for the dudes in the gym, the other ladies or anyone else. You're there for you. If he saw you were struggling…
  • A lot of people use water but I tend to use my homemade veggie broth. I hate losing flavor by watering my foods down so the broth (which is low sodium) brings a nice depth without bringing in too many calories or sodium.
  • ^^^ This is also what I do. No one at work every seems to have a problem with it.
  • Damn! *highfive* That's incredible!
  • I thought this too, but every time I take a break the pounds come back. It's like magic. I'll log till the day I kick the bucket.
  • My Mr. and I work out together all the time. Well, we're in the gym together. Some days I do arms and he does legs. Sometimes I do cardio and he doesn't. Sometimes we do it all side by side. But 95% of the time we go to the gym together and leave together. It might not work for all, but it certainly works for us.
  • I hit 325 just the other day. :D
  • I make this one: http://goo.gl/GQNTDE You ditch the pasta and substitute toasted nutrient dense bread (like an Ezekiel or whole wheat option). Definitely tastes delicious!
  • ^^^THIS OP: Thanks for the recipe. It looks great and I'll definitely be trying it!
  • I picked up Sun Warrior at The Vitamin Shoppe around the corner from my house, but any good supplement shop will have it. Additionally Amazon.com ftw! :D
  • I don't drink dairy milk as a lifestyle choice, so I make my own non dairy milks. It's incredibly simple and I know exactly what's in them. Almond milk, for example, is 1 c raw almonds soaked for ~12 hours then drained and rinse. Grab a blender and put the almonds with ~3 c water and blend on high. Strain contents with a…
  • I've tried Hemp Pro and I like it. Though we have switched to Sun Warrior. Also, this is a great comprehensive post on the subject: http://kblog.lunchboxbunch.com/2013/04/vegan-protein-powders-for-smoothies-my.html
  • Aaaaaaaaaaaand it's 5:00! I'm out! YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT NIGHT AND ENJOY YOUR DINNER! :D
  • I've been attacked repeatedly in this thread. My values, my beliefs and my ideals. I am not going to get offended or throw it in other people's faces. I cannot change the name of this recipe because I cannot edit the first post. AT THE SAME TIME-- there is a big internet out there. If you, or anyone else that's commented…
  • THIS.
  • Perhaps I'm misreading your tone, but the "Yet you are responding to all of it..." made it seem like I should quit responding. I'm just saying: I _believe_ these things are "garbage" (i.e. there are better replacements that are more nutrient dense), for which I will not apologize. I _do_ apologize for offending anyone with…
  • Oooo! I had never thought of using leek! That's clever idea!
  • I'm keeping an eye on the thread because a) I started it, b) people may have questions about the recipe, c) I've got about a half hour until work ends and then I'm checking out/heading home and d) like you, I check the forums to pass the time on occasion. *shrug* I'm not sure I've done anything wrong and responding to…
  • I say again: this is the internet, man. People are getting way too upset about stuff that is so trivial it's ridiculous. I mean. If this is the sort of thing that upsets people _this much_ they want to take a little time to reevaluate the important things in their lives, haha.
  • Okay. :)
  • Semantics. Not worth the flame war it's causing, lol.
  • Haha, thanks. To be honest I couldn't care less what people call it, whether they like what's in it or not, if they think I'm ridiculous for not wanting to eat lots of cheese and/or pasta, etc. I shared to see if anyone else might want to enjoy it (which there seemed to be a large handful!), so I feel good about that. The…
