I have a Karimor waist belt from Sports Direct. I'm in the UK so don't know if you have that brand / shop where you are?

Wow brilliant, well done!

This was the case for me too. C25K worked brilliantly, when I finished that I could run for 40 mins straight. Tried a 10k programme and the intervals and I did not get on. I just do my own plan now - 2 short runs and 1 longer run each week. Also as others have said, don't run 6 days a week, its too much. And run slower.

Wow, well done you! Love your medal too x

I was very unconfident when I started. I went out very early and used a quiet area where I knew there wouldn't be too many people. Eventually you get used to it and it doesn't bother you about other people. The first time I ran past someone I was so embarrassed but they didn't even notice me lol Have you looked at the C25K…

Graduated a few weeks ago but all biz this morning as ran 4.4 miles. Was gonna do 3.5 but kept going to next corner / next tree / next car until I got to the hill up to the house. Longest before today was 3.1 / 5k. And no stops or walk breaks :d

This. Using your example, someone going from 350 to 175 is amazing. Who are you to judge that what it takes, mentally, emotionally and physically, for them to do so, isn't enough or that they should try harder.

I try to find a similar ready meal in the database and use that. Or completely overestimate and log it as 1000 calories and consider the day done lol
-
Just to add I didn't randomly open a tin of beans to weigh them, I was having beans on toast for tea!
-
White House Down is basically Die Hard part 5 or whatever sequel they are on.
-
Just weighed the baked beans out of the tin - 420g, same as what it said on the tin.
-
Well done on the PBs!

I weigh most of my food but not always eg one tin of beans split between me and hubby, I don't weigh it just half the weight on the tin. Same with a tin of tuna.

I live in Northern Ireland, mum to a 3 year old girl and step mum to an 11 year old girl. I've added you :)

I'm doing mine tomorrow night :)

Yeah I had a look at the next run on the training app and its 6 x 10 min runs with 2 min walks. Even thinking about it makes me sad lol
-
Thanks for all your replies. I definitely think its a mental thing rather than physical, the intervals throw me off so maybe the 10k app isn't the way to go now. I had assumed it would be a logical next step as the 5k app worked so well for me. I do like the idea of a schedule though as it keeps me motivated so I think…

Sorry I'm not familiar with those but I'm assuming one is a GPS app? It won't work on the treadmill which is probably why your distance is wrong
-
What app are you using?
-
Started the 10K app last night, doing a 5K race in July and the Colour Run in August. Hubby is doing a marathon in Sep and is trying to talk me into the 10K but think it might be too much, its off-road and very hilly.

Slightly different in that I followed the whole program but I graduated on Monday and did the 5K in 38 mins. I'm starting the 10 program this evening and my first day is 2 20 min interval runs with a 3 min walking break. I'm just gonna keep doing what they tell me, I reckon they know far more than me and its got me this…

Completely agree with you. I am on a household budgeting board on FB and the lack of knowledge about food, food prep, recipes etc is shocking. I was lucky in that my parents and my nanas both taught me the basics and then some, but we also had home economics lessons in school which did basic ingredients and recipes. Its a…

I ran the full 5k and it took me 38 mins. Warm up and cool down was extra
-
Amazing, well done you! You are always so encouraging of other peeps on here when you've been through a lot yourself. You should be proud :d
-
Haha amazing. Well done you! Know exactly how you feel, it's been a long time since I've successfully tried anything new and I'm doing my last day today there's times I still think it's all a bit of a fluke!

Icardio by digifit. The free version us pretty basic but you can upgrade for £5 to extra features like programming your own splits by time or distance, fitness assessments etc
-
Either is fine for me
-
I found the 8/9 min interval runs harder than where I am now (30 mins straight run). I think because they are short enough to focus on the the end and want them over iykwim.

I'm in!
