I like the Moving Comfort Fiona, mainly because it has a clasp. I hate the over-the-head ones.

Wonderful! Congratulations to our boys!

I can verify that supposition. Actually, not me (I'm terrible at accents) but when my husband does his, it's definitely southern. And very, very bad.

Wow, that's quite a program. Early intervention is really key, so I'm sure it will pay off. My very best wishes to your family.

Bat-trees all the way! Also, being a Brit Straw-brees (not straw-berries) and libree (not lib-ra-ry).

Thank you all for your kind words about my son. You've made me cry <3 It's been a slog but he was a trooper.
-
Yes, but that's what I did earlier this year when I was heavier. This time around I feel much more self conscious, even though I've lost quite a lot more weight. Trying to understand why...

Can't believe I forgot to tell you all this!! Remember my special needs boy who almost missed his exam and you all talked me down when I was freaking out about it?! He passed!! That means he's graduated high school, so we are all very, very happy and relieved. @raelynnsmama52512 - This is the boy who at 3 was assessed and…

Yep, that's what I always said growing up. My grandma called it 'fizzy pop' so when we moved to Canada I thought pop sounded sweet and old-fashioned. Now I'm used to it.
-
That is always the right question, and YES is always the answer!

I'm off on vacation tomorrow morning. When we went away in March I was nearly 20lbs heavier, yet I decided to throw caution to the wind and wear a bikini and it was fine. Why am I second guessing it this time?!

And THIS is why we don't all abandon thread and de-camp to the Batcave. Mo's playing bingo!
-
Maybe it was don't fall out of nests. Or something. :o

Haha! I was in Brisbane for a while. I recall it was either hot and dry or hot and wet. That was it as far as weather went!
-
Interesting! Mine is NY or Providence. :)

Pop up here too! And because I'm a transplant, I think my accent is all over the place. We know a couple of South Africans and it's a joke between us that us Australians have to stick together, as we ALL get asked if we're Aussies! Our Aussie friends get asked if they're British. Can't win!

I love how she doesn't look interested in eating the cute little kitten!

For High River? I have no idea what the financial situation is these days. We always donate to the Red Cross because they seem to do a decent job. (Don't feel guilty - unfortunately there's always something terrible happening somewhere. The fact that this was so close by brought it home to me that this always happens after…

They might, but it will cost a lot, so they're not sure whether it's worth it. It's two years now, but the town is still nowhere near back to normal. I wouldn't buy or build there, to be honest. My best friend works at the high school there and there's been a lot of depression, divorce, even suicide related to people…

If you're reading @orangesmartie HelllOoooooooo!

Meee! Yes, we were here - but weren't flooded, thankfully. It was terrible for a lot of people though. My sister had a rental property in High River which had to be torn down, despite all of our best efforts to save it. (High River was the town that was so badly flooded that nobody was allowed back in for 2 weeks after the…

Have you ever MET a British person?! ;)
-
Oh god, I'm so old. I was at university in Brighton! We just walked around for hours the next day amazed at the damage. I have a picture I took of the famous pushed-over telephone boxes (but arty black & white because that was how I rolled in those days). Like this
-
Thanks - it's all over now. I did see some pictures and one of our friends had damage to their house, but it sounds pretty minor compared to what some people are dealing with.
-
Yes! "..without a license!"
-
Well, I remember the hurricane of 1987, so... ;)

I liked an elderly Winston Churchill's answer when someone told him his fly was unzipped "Dead birds don't fall out of trees"!
-
Hahah! Oops! I used to work in an engineering office - 95% male. 42.3% of them would walk around unzipped most of the time, and I'd have to try not to notice. Is it just a British thing to say "You've got egg on your chin" to subtly alert someone that their fly is unzipped? Is there an American equivalent?

No, I didn't think of it! It looked like the images in this news report: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/tornado-warning-ends-as-thunderstorm-brings-hail-north-of-calgary-1.3162634

It's sunny and beautiful again now!
