Are they old? They turn to a vaguely scented dust after a while, especially if they're not sealed well. Buy a couple of new ones and see if they taste better. I love rosemary, or even just a general Italian-type seasoning.

Sorry to say that unless you have a very mild case, this probably won't work. I've tried it, plus a lot the other folk-type remedies (Listerine, tea tree oil, etc) and it made no difference to my manky toenails. I'm probably going to get them lasered, and even then there's no guarantee it will work. The fungus is…

Yeah, me too.

These are almost exactly my stats, and exactly how I got to 185lbs. No binging, ever. :)

I use Retin-A, which seems to be the only thing that's proven to actually work for anti-aging (as opposed to improving 'the appearance of' wrinkles as used in advertising). Although I've noticed really nice improvements on my facial skin after using it for 6 months, I can't say it's improved my crepe-y neck much yet, but…

This thread makes me feel like an elephant. I'm 5'5" and just about 140lbs, the lightest I've been in about 20 years, yet I'm still a size 10, Medium. Maybe an 8 if it's Old Navy. :/ I don't think I have a large build - my wrists are pretty small and I can't wear any of my rings any more, but maybe I do...

Fabulous! Bumping because I think a lot of people need to read this.

On the plus side, they're all old enough to be on here now! :D

I tried to make the banana/egg 'pancake' thing. I couldn't flip it, and due to the smell I knew I would never eat it, so I just scraped it straight into the bin. Those mug cakes are also an exercise in disappointment.

Anything that you can put into a baggie would work - cut up fruit, nuts, jerky, crackers. It sounds like you're looking for some human interaction. I totally get that - sometimes I'll go out for a McDonald's breakfast just to be around people, read the paper and just get out of the house. Perhaps you could join a walking…

Also, don't over-cook. You can eat pork very slightly pink in the middle these days.

Just an FYI, British corned beef is not the same as US corned beef. http://wearenotfoodies.com/corned-beef-far-more-then-the-atlantic-ocean-separates-the-difference/

I really like bread, so I have all the nice things I always had, but only one slice of bread instead of two. Just had a half grilled brie, turkey & cranberry sauce sandwich with my lunchtime soup, instead of the whole one I would have preferred. I have one slice of toast and peanut butter for breakfast or a snack, instead…

I'm 48 and perimenopausal, and have lost 43lbs over the past year. Weigh, measure and log ALL your foods. The process works, and it will for you, too. Good luck!

I do a big pan of mixed veggies often - chopped broccoli, zucchini, carrots, mushrooms, cabbage, peppers, leeks; whatever we have in the fridge really. Start with a bit of water and a tsp of butter or oil at the bottom of a deep frying pan, and 'stir-steam' the veggies on high until the water evaporates, then continue to…

Yes - I did exactly the same last time I lost weight. I gained 40lbs back over the course of about 6 months. It was like I was outside my body watching myself do it. Very strange. Now I'm losing again, although more slowly than last time, and hoping to very slowly transition to maintenance. You have to keep logging, and…

I'm 5'5" and sitting at 143 (down from 185). My daily goal is 1450 but I eat way too much on weekends which is why I've been unable to get any lower. Pretty sure I'm wiping out my deficit each week and it's quite possible that's what you're doing too.

Just break up.

It is interesting. I'm 143-ish, at 5'5" and only now in a size 10 down from a 14+ when I was 185. I don't know if it's an age thing, but I'm 48 and pretty happy with where I am now. I'd be quite happy to lose to 135, but I'm equally ok with maintaining where I am now.

Bum bag.

Yep, NO, that is a hot dog wrapped in that weird Pillsbury pastry that comes in a can! This is what British pigs in blankets look like. ETA: http://dish.allrecipes.com/cup-to-gram-conversions/

That's cute!

Yummy!

Ditto. Or Nigella measuring in cups. Bacon rasher = bacon strip. P.S. Actually, now I think about it, just hearing Gordon Ramsay talk at all is off-putting, full stop (NOT 'period').

Yep, that's not an ok word in NA!

I know! I'm a Brit who's lived in Canada for 13 years. My kids' friends think they're weird when they offer them a toast snack of some kind.
-
My favourite 'home alone in front of the TV' dinner! What my lovely MIL (RIP) would have called a 'nursery tea'. Also, in North America people don't do the 'things on toast' the same way the Brits do. My kids have grown up making themselves beans on toast but their friends think it's weird.
