I hope it goes well. The advice about writing down your major concerns is solid. If you're already nervous it would be easy to forget the real issues.

I'm waiting to hear from my BIL. My sister's been having headaches and funny vision for a couple of weeks. Yesterday she thought she should get it looked at, so she dropped in hoping her optometrist could see her. She still hasn't been home! It's a partially detached retina. They sent her straight to a specialist who said…

Yes! (I agree, a lot of supplements are like horse pills - why don't they make them half the size and just tell you to take two??)
-
I have one! Such fun - recommended!
-
Oh you have no idea.
-
Sounds like that would be a good outlet!

Yet another reason why bees are awesome!
-
Me too! I do that kind of thing all the time.
-
Oh wow....

Ah, I think I might have misunderstood the original post. I took it that the man's 'injury' was an STD and that he was talking about picking scabs off his wotsit. That struck me as a particularly unpleasant conversation to be having in mixed company.
-
Not all men. Mr Tubbs would ask them if they thought that was an appropriate conversation to have in front of ladies. He would also give them his Oprah look. He's braver than me. I'd think of something smart and withering to say 20 minutes later.

Beef jerky!

Yes! That's great that you're getting more stuff done. That has to be a step in the right direction. Are you still feeling odd though?

You have a lot of SUPER GREAT advice this afternoon, @peleroja! Seriously. @KylerJaye, you also have our permission to sweep stuff off desks.

When I was a teenager, Bananarama style overalls/dungarees were in fashion. I would always dip one of the buckle/fastener things in the toilet. Usually post-pee.

My cherry liqueur is just cherries and vodka. Later on some sugar gets added. Maybe I'll add some almond extract at that time and see what happens. Can only imagine good things.

Ooh, that's still quite a haul. Where do you sell your honey? Does it have to be treated in any way before you can sell it? Glad you can access the forums again!
-
I think that's what she meant.
-
Froggy, glad you had a great weekend. It's lovely to hear you sounding so happy!
-
Oh @KylerJaye I'm so, so sorry that you're hurting, and that he turned out to be an *kitten* after all. Please be kind to yourself - sounds like you did absolutely nothing wrong.

Invitation in the mail. ETA - might take a while. The liqueur should be ready by Christmas.
-
Yes, I hope her absence means that she and Mr Laura are enjoying getting reacquainted. ;)
-
Yes! I thought so when I read it, and forgot to mention it. I LOVE the cherry/almond combo. I have an Evans cherry tree (beautiful red, sour cherries) and I never know what to do with them all. I've already made cherry liqueur and there are still SO MANY cherries. I might make some jam/compote if I get a chance before they…

Hahhaaa, at the starred out word!!

I would agree that you'll need to give it a little while before you can know whether it's going to be of any benefit to you. Did your doctor give you any idea how long it would take to get used to it?
-
Agree! I really admire women who, whether they want to or not, get on and get stuff done. Although I know it must be very satisfying, I know it's certainly not easy. Feel free to let out your frustrations here!

Sounds promising!

I am so happy!!

Actually, if you're going to eat at this kind of place, deep-fried is the way to go. It kills most foodborne bugs. I did a foodsafe course once, and after hearing all the horror stories from the health inspector running the show, we asked whether she ever eats out. She said 'Sure, but usually things that are deep-fried!' I…

I don't know if you recall how my daughter was really struggling with her health..? (Anemia, exhaustion, depression, really bad periods.) Yesterday was blood test results day. Turns out her iron is up to a healthy level (yay for Feramax!) and her thyroid function is normal. The latter was a real surprise because ALL of her…
