  • I had no idea you could log it under cardio! I'm doing that next time :)
  • I guess I take a rather offhand approach to this issue. I just complete my logs and make sure my net calories is at least 1200. I drink some more water and make sure I'm not hungry. Tracking individual nutrients is handy, if you're into that kind of thing.
  • As long as you aren't burning yourself out or risking injury --- keep up the great work :) I did this today actually with weights in the afternoon and then cardio in the evening. I'll probably attempt to do this better when I'm studying/working.
  • I can deal with not-whole-numbers in weights but in any thing else, they frustrate me. I am definitely one of those everything-has-its-place girls. I rewrite lists (a lot) and every time I go to the gym, I want to rewrite my entries from previous sessions just to make them neater. Oh, and my mat has to be straight because…
  • Sometimes we just need to be "bad" and eat lots :) Just so long as you don't give up and be "bad" all the time instead of "good".
  • Mine was lovely and wasn't easy on the calories. Oops! The night before, we bought a pizza and a bottle of drink and had a picnic on a blanket in the park. Apart from the people interrupting our conversation (and kisses) with their headlights, it was lovely and inexpensive. In the morning we went to our favourite cafe for…
  • Just use the readouts on your gym machines or buy a HRM :)
  • If you do exercise, make sure your net calories are larger than 1200 calories. You should be fine with that :)
  • I'm 5' 9 " and my current goal weight is 60kg (144.5 lbs). I've been smaller but I'll be happy with a big 6-0 on the scale  I really just want to tone and look cute in my bikini.
  • I was looking into them as a snack option while I'm studying this semester. I might buy one and give it a go. I would never use it in replacement of real food. I love food too much! One of my managers at work has a shake every shift without fail but it makes sense -- it doesn't leave rubbish and she can continue doing work…
  • Go you!! :)
  • I think $10 an hour is a fair rate, like most people here. You're getting a night off and she's learning some valuable experiences while earning her first wage. If you're still feeling unsure, see if you can get her Mum to check in once an hour. Make sure your contact info is on the fridge :) I'm sure she'll be fine.
  • That's really sweet :)
  • I'm hoping to get a scale as I currently don't have one. I think the best way to measure your success is by how you feel and how your clothes fit than by a number on a scale (unless it is crucial for you to be at a certain weight). Shop around and maybe buy something towards the higher end of what you can afford. Perhaps…
  • If you're under your calorie goal, you should be fine. If you gain a little, it's okay, really it is. You'll get there. Weigh yourself tomorrow just before breakfast and after you've used the bathroom, I've heard from others that it's the best time to do a weigh-in. Maybe your body has just been craving more food since…
  • Weigh yourself in the morning before you've eaten and after you use the restroom. From what I've heard from other people, that works the best. I don't have a scale so I can't vouch for that myself. You might not have a fantastic loss the first weigh-in you do, but you made the choice to be healthy and happy, and to do it…
  • I'd do side exercises and cardio. I'm wanting to keep a smaller version of my love-handles but lose the rest of my stomach. I'd like to have abs one day!
  • Great challenge, I'm in! This is my first challenge, so I'm going easy on myself -- I don't want to bite off more than I can chew. My goal is set to 1500 - 2000, which will be pretty tough.
  • Never underestimate the amount of reassurance a pair of sexy panties gives to a man. I'm always telling my man that if I wanted to find somebody else, I would have long ago. We've been dating for nearly four years and I think it's safe to say that the window of opportunity has well and truly closed. He's absolutely perfect…
  • Huh, odd. Most men tend to notice if their ladies have lost weight. At least mine notices and he will listen to me talk about the gym while rubbing my love handles (one of his favourite squishy bits). He's the first to exclaim after a cuddle that I'm getting slimmer. He loves me at whatever weight but he likes to encourage…
  • I used to snack a lot so my body complains that I'm not snacking enough. I just drink some water and try to busy myself with other things. Usually, my body is happy and the hunger stops. If it doesn't, I consider having some fruit or maybe it's time for lunch/dinner. Try drinking water or snacking on something healthy :)…
  • I work at a cinema and oh it is hard when I have to pop the stuff just before we open. It. Smells. So. Good. I always make sure I eat a filling breakfast and take a yummy lunch so I know I won't give in like my colleagues and buy some :) If I see a movie, I'll buy a little one to share with my boyfriend but mostly we just…
  • I'll have fast food every so often and when I do, it's only a small meal from Subway, Hungry Jacks or Red Rooster. I just can't stomach McDonald's any more. I do love my subway though and love the big helpings of salad! I'm sorry your kids were in pain and so violently ill (and you had to clean it up) but at…
  • I took measurements and I'm not really seeing progress there but the other day I tried on two dresses that I absolutely love, love, love and had grown out of. One of them fits really nicely, the other is a little snug. I still need to lose a little more from my tummy. Congratulations! Before you know it, you'll be that…
  • Perhaps have a chat to your doctor about it, if you are concerned. I've noticed that I've been using the bathroom more than usual as well. Everything's normal on my end, I've just upped my water consumption is all.
  • I would go to my favourite Mexican restaurant and not feel bad about having the combo dip plus a big main. So good! I could eat there every day if my bank account and stomach would permit it.
  • When I was working crazy hours, I depended on things like a small bowl of pasta plus an apple and a bar of some kind. I just found it filled me up. Perhaps try to have something with protein. Maybe a burrito using lean meat such as turkey and a wholewheat wrap? You could always bring salad with you in a small container.…
  • Peanut butter is delicious and definitely included in my life. I used to eat it by the tablespoon as a kid. Now I like it spread over corn thins as a snack or on my morning toast. I also have snacks that have peanuts and other nuts as well. Provided you don't decide to live off it, you should be fine with incorporating it…
  • I love fitness classes at my gym :) My favourites are Zumba (I haven't met someone who hasn't liked it!), Aqua Aerobics and a class my gym calls "Cardio Class". Cardio Class has different stations set up with different exercises, we work in pairs and rotate around. It's really tough! Your gym might have something similar.…
