For dinner, I fill up on whole grain pasta... it does a decent job of satiating me, and most of the time I don't need to eat before bed! Otherwise, I'm the same as you.

I don't know for sure because everyone is different, but I know that as long as I remain under my calorie count, I lose weight - whether it is lots of nutritious & filling foods or a single meal of total junk.
