I avoid caffeine and I'm allergic to citrus. So I drink only peppermint tea. Usually Stash's although Twining's is good too. I have drank others in the past, but pretty much everything has some citrus in it. The tea aside is like a minefield for me, so I just stick 100% herbal tea made with peppermint leaves.

I weigh myself once a week, but unless the change is more than 5 lbs either way, I don't record it. When I get weighed next week at my doctor's I will use that as my new official weight, as my scale is as bipolar as Carrie Fischer off her meds. I need a different one, methinks.

I was wondering this myself. I don't have a rest day either. I have fibromyalgia and the first time I tried not working out, my body threw a flare tantrum. So on bad days I do a lot less, but my workout isn't superintensive anyway. I am trying to have a treat day today, and even after a trip to McDonald's with the kidlet,…

Been doing this for almost two months and still slip up on my macros from time to time. Especially sodium, since I have high blood pressure. Everybody makes those mistakes, it's part of the learning process. Once you have a better idea of how much the things you eat and enjoy are, you'll learn to make room for them. I for…

No you can't. Also, you have to take into account that men do not think about food the way most women do. Women are taught all these things are bad and can make us fat. Men rarely put that much thought process about what they put in their mouths. Especially active ones who don't have to worry about it. Even more than 20…

I'm with the gents. Unless hubby has been telling you you don't need to lose weight, until you actually TALK TO YOUR HUSBAND, you can't just assume the worst. And women wonder why men think that we're playing mind games with them? Because we ALWAYS ARE. /rant

My mother had the lap band procedure done a few years ago. Her list of health issues is similar to yours and having seen her dealing with aftermath, I would say 'absolutely not unless you need it to save your life.' The diet is miserable, the maintenance is constantly and she constantly complains of feeling light headed…

Fine, fine. Here you go.

I spy with my little eye a troll who is a trolling.

Salty. Salty is win. I do like my sweets, but salty carbs are my weakness.

I had posted a thread before I saw this. I started out at 300+ and have dropped almost 25 pounds just stationary cycling. My doctor suggested walking, but walking is difficult with my cane for more than five minutes, let alone longer. The cycle is much easier and burns more calories for the time period. I added yoga this…

Most of the time, I track while I am cooking. Otherwise after. Time constraints are what decides when I log.

I like to have a bowl of oatmeal or something else filling and warm an hour or two before bedtime. It helps me sleep and I plan the calories for it. Just nothing spicy or really strong tasting, because I don't need the heartburn. ;)

Stationary bike alone is still good cardio. I have fibromyalgia and have to have a very low impact workout. I wanted to try to rebuild some muscle in my upper body, and I am doing wall push ups since I also have bad knees. Maybe try those in your workout?

A Christmas mug I got on clearance. Thought it was way too cute to pass up.

Do it. I love my food scale. It's great for baking and cooking as well I use it to measure out my son's formula for his tube feedings. I wish I'd bought one sooner.

I can tell you right now, eating a lower sodium diet makes it easier to eat less calories. I do not watch my fat intake as much as most, because my cholesterol was dandy when I was eating horribly, but I have high blood pressure and I wanted to get healthy period. Which meant cutting way back on sodium. Which has made me…

Made this for breakfast this morning. Best thing ever,.

Thanks. I was never the lay in bed type. I worked 40 hours a week until my pregnancy when downhill and my disabled son was born. The last eleven years has been taking care of him and just maintaining functionality. He's making some improvements, so I can take a little more time for me. I will definitely try the squats and…

Thank you, m'dear. *clicks link*

For us heavier folks, rapid weight loss at first is pretty normal. I lost nearly 20lbs in the same amount of time and I wasn't eating nearly as much as you. As your metabolism adjusts, it'll level out I've heard. Sucks, huh? ;)

Sodium. Given up for health reasons. Low sodium diet SUCKS. Cutting calories hasn't been hard. Exercising everyday has even helped my fibromyalgia a little. But just becoming aware of how much sodium that is in everything has me in fits. Forget eating out on a low sodium diet. It doesn't happen.

Ah. The internets an the inability to convey sarcasm and reference points. My bad. Also, they're on the internets and complaining about cat threads? Seriously? That's like going into a bakery and complaining about too much sugar...

It was a turn of the phrase. The only crying anyone can do while reading this thread is because their sides hurt from laughing. ;)

Yeah, I weep for people who've lost they're sense of humor. That's what's really sad here. This thread really brightened up a rotten day for me. Especially the Monty Python reference.

Does "I want to shop for clothes in the ladies sized section for the first time since I was 20' count? My doctor ordered me to lose weight and my leg pain is the catalyst, but really, clothing shopping is horrible when you're a 3x. :(

I make and buy healthier snacks for myself, since I am trying to lose weight and my picky eater child needs to gain weight. Since the healthier stuff is MINE ALL MINE, it makes it kind of a rush to have it itself. And I occasionally indulge in cake and pizza, I have just learned to watch calories and fat and portion…

I took "dopamax" for a year for my chronic migraines. Hated the stuff. Yes, I lost weight. Because I forgot to eat. I forgot everything. I sometimes forgot to take the vile medicine. It completely trashed my brain. The side effects were harrowing. The aphasia and memory issues were the worst for me. I have fibromyalgia, so…
