The difference in your face is simply amazing! Great job!

So very happy for you! I experienced the exact same thing and I am wrapping up wk 9 now. Just wait until wk 5 when you do a 20 minute run. I never, ever would have thought that I could do that 4 months ago. I must have looked like an idiot in the gym with tears rolling down my face when I made it not only to 20 minutes,…

Freezing cooked dried beans is a wonderful solution! Thanks so much!!

I made a delicious omelet this morning with 1/2 cup Eggbeaters filled with 1/2 cup rinsed black beans, 1/2 teaspoon cumin, 1 tablespoon feta and 1 teaspoon lime juice. Then rolled it and topped it with 2 tablespoons salsa and 1/2 packet of wholly guacamole. Soooooo good!! Only 253 calories and kept me going all morning…

I have experienced exactly the same thing. It is definitely my favorite NSV to date!! Congratulations on your new life and keep up the good work.

I just talked to the trainer at the gym about this yesterday. I am having extreme tightness in my calves accompanied by numbness during running. He told me that both things were due to my staying too far up on my toes while exercising. I am going to try to shift my balance and see if this helps.

Bump!

A huge congrats to you! You just told my story as well!! I am so inspired by music during my workouts. If you like the Chariots of Fire theme, you really need to download 300 Violin Orchestra by Jorge Quintero. I intentionally put it into my playlist at a point where I know I will need it and it seriously pushes me to…

Very good idea! I am totally addicted to peanut butter.

Mine is public and I love to do that too! I will be creeping on some of these diaries as well. : ) On a side note, I am amazed by how many people say "yes, mine is public but......" I wish you didn't feel like you have to defend your food choices. We are all on our own mission here and hopefully nobody is disillusioned…

Yep, I need to fully commit to completely clean. I am also thinking no carbs or sugars with the exception of fruit and vegetable content.

Didn't think about the muscle soreness issue! That is a good point. I always try to work hard enough to have a small amount (and often not so small amount) of soreness.

Maranatha almond butter. Hello, my name is Monica and I am a nut butter addict! : )

Great job!! I can't imagine how much better you must feel without that belly!

I am on wk8 day 1. It seems strange to even type that!!! When I looked at the workout plan, I was unsure as to whether or not I could complete it. It seems overwhelming. And I have never been a runner, but am experiencing that "endorphin" high that comes with overcoming mental and physical obstacles.…

Remember that sluggish, "I don't want to do anything" feeling next time you think you want something bad for you. I used to LOVE donuts! I mean I really, really liked donuts. My son was eating one this afternoon and even though it smelled delicious, I knew that the way I would feel after shoving it down my throat would be…

This hangs on a wall in my home and inspires me every day! Awesome message!!

I completed day 1 of week 6 yesterday. I have never considered myself a runner at all and yet I am completely addicted to the endorphin rush I get when I push myself further than I ever thought I could go. I will tell you that at the beginning of each week, I look at the workout plan for that week and think "there is no…

I'm sooo late to the party, but I'd love to join if you'll have me! : )

Like you, I have been eating clean and exercising 6 days a week for about 8 weeks. I started out at 218 and am now at 190. To date, I have lost 28 pounds. I always eat my 1300 calories and make sure that I am eating tons of veggies, lean protein, whole grains, and some fruits. I feel wonderful. Since this was such a…

Finished week 5 yesterday. I never, ever would have thought five weeks ago that I could have run for 20 minutes nonstop! And actually, I ended up going for 24:40 just because I could!! It is so hard and yet so rewarding. Best of luck to you.

So helpful!! Thank you!

I think you guys may be on to something with the "good fat" idea. I admittedly have been going easy on the nuts, avocados, and oily fish. If you look at my diary, you will see that tonight I had pan seared salmon. It tasted so oily to me that I couldn't even finish it all. I definitely could do more olive oil in my salad…

I am drinking at least 8 glasses of water and usually 9 or 10. I also feel like I am getting plenty of protein. Maybe even too much on some days. I'm wondering if I should take Biotin (a hair, nail and skin supplement). I tend to have dry hair and have to moisturize the heck out of it anyway. But it has just been…

Add 1 tablespoon of peanut butter, 1/2 of a banana (mashed) and 1 teaspoon of honey. Delicious!!
