thanks for the great info!

At least you can be confident that the .5lb lose is 100% fat and not a combination of fat and muscle which can happen when people lose too fast......yahoo!

It is all about habbit. Once you get use to it it becomes easier....especially if you go to bed earlier. And put your alarm clock where you can't reach it from the bed then you have to get up to shut it off and you will be more likely to stay up. And I agree I lay out all my clothes, water, etc before I go to bed.

Awesome...you look so great!

yes make sure your knees, hips and shoulders form a straight line and these will help you to increase the amount of full push ups you can do.
-
WOW you look sooooo much younger!!

They are right....you just have to force yourself to do it. Just pick a small goal for every second day to start and before you know it you will look forward to exercising and you will want to increase your time.

If your allowable calories for the day is about 1500 then sodium of 2500 is about right.

I agree with these girls. 17lbs in a month is way too much for someone your size. You will starve your body and it will hold onto fat for energy making you tired and you will loose muscle. When you loose muscle your metabolism slows down. One pound a week is more realistic....you will loose fat and maintain muscle making…

I have done it a few times....really like it. I don't do it everyday because I like to mix things up a bit. She has really great workouts because they hit every muscle in a short amount of time.....and yes of course it will work if you stick with it !! I can hear Jillian cheering me on now through all my…

Before I was on MFP I use to determine by daily calorie needs by taking my current weight and multiply it by 10. Say I weigh 180 lbs then I need about 1800 calories a day to stay at 180 lbs. If I want to loose a pound a week I subtract 500 cal per day, since 3500 cal is one pound. So for me to loose a pound a week I should…

Good Job !! Keep it up!

I have a heavy bag at home too. I don't follow a DVD or game. I just incorporate it into my circuits. If you are not doing circuits and just want to punch the bag make sure you warm up well with some shadow boxing and then on the bag try 1-2 minute rounds to start and 30 sec to 1 minute rests in between rounds....and work…

turn your walks into jogging and walking intervals and each week increase the amount you jog.

What about the taco salad with sour cream on the side, chicken or shrimp burrito with sour cream and cheese on the side or the shrimp dinner doesn't sound too bad...??? good luck!

I have been measuring myself for years and I am not really sure of the way the pros would do it but I always measure at the same place on the first monday after my period. I wear the same bra and measure the fullest part of my breast. I measure at the bellybutton, the fullest part of my hips and I have a freckle on my…

I mean don't land on your toes....that causes shin splints. Land closer to the heal and roll your foot forward...like described here. http://www.ehow.com/how_2311464_run-properly.html

Cellulite is like a bubble of fat that burst because it is too big and makes that lumpy look. The only way to reduce this is to simply lose weight and of course you should continue to do squats/lunges to build muscle to have strong healthy legs!
-
When your foot lands make sure you are landing on your heal and roll up to your toes that should help with the shin splint...you can also try to put your treadmill on a 2 degree incline that can help too. You can strengthen your shins by putting a towel under your bare foot and using your toes to scrunch it up. Walk a few…

I live in New Brunswick, Canada and it just starting snowing lightly here. It is suppose to get worse by tomorrow....yey....maybe no work tomorrow !!!

I agree you will get use to it. I picture it washing out fat from my body....and that helps me to drink more. Fill up a glass and just gulp it until it is gone.....and one day you will crave it and become one of those people that carries water bottles everywhere you go.

I think he knows what he is talking about. He always promotes eating healthy and exercising as a life style and doesn't believe in fad diets......plus he looks great!
-
Do both if you can. I like the Elliptical that has the arm bars...you can get a really good upper body workout.
-
I would suggest buying a skipping rope and combine it with sprints on the treadmill and weights...you need to get some heavier dumbells. Do weighted squats with an overhead dumbell press, do weighted lunges and bicep curls....always try to combine two moves into one and that will shorten your workout and keep your heart…
