Also, calculate your BMR, http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators/bmr-calculator.html, and don't eat below it. I a currently at 208 and 5'6, my BMR is 1686 so I usually try to get around 1700. I also think the 1200 is a too low, try upping it and see if that helps. Also, remember any changes you do make is going to take a…

I second the endocrinologist, they are trained specifically on diabetes. A NP or even a primary care only have a little bit of training. You need to be seeing a specialist. My dad has a great primary care and a great Endo and they communicate with each other with regards to testing and prescriptions that could interfere…

I've lost 30 lbs in 28 weeks, so I am averaging about a 1lb weight loss per week. However though there have been weeks that there has been no change or an increase and then I get a 2 lb decrease, then stall for a week or two. It's been a slow and gradual process but it has been going down.

ok the 3 2 1 cake sound like what i could use right about now. Wondering how to input into recipe builder though and what calories would look like. Has anyone tried this one yet

During the week it is usually 3 egg whites fried, sometimes I might add an extra whole egg and fry up with some spinach, cheese and onion. On the weekends it is between 3 and 4 whites for breakfast.

Sounds yummy. I have a couple small cans laying around the house too. Might have to try with some triscuits. Here's an idea, may or may not work, add a bit of soy milk whip it up and freeze. Pumpkin pie ice cream. Ya definitely worth a try.

Egg whites Carrots Cucumbers Frozen mixed veggies Yogurt Also, don't worry if you go over by 100-200, as long as you dont go over your maintenance calories your fine. Plus look at your weekly total thus far you may have 100 - 200 in there. Or you could just cut back alittle tomorrow and still have a good weekly total.

I eat oatmeal every morning during the week and its the same everyday. 1/2 cupQuick oats, cooked with raisins and then I add 2 tblsp ground flax seeds. Once in bowl I add 1/8 cup sugar free Maple Syrup and 1/2 cup milk. Adding cinnamon is a personal preference thing, add a little and keep adding a little more till it taste…

I got rid of most of my extremely loose clothes and went to the thrift store to replinish. I figure no sense in keeping them since I never want to be that size again. I figure no point in paying full retail price for clothes I won't be wearing long (hopefully), especially since the jeans I bought three weeks ago that were…

Thats how I have been doing it now for about 2 months or more. During the work week, M-F, I have oats with raisins, sugar free maple syrup, flaxmeal and milk for breakfast. Lunch is almost always a sandwich with plenty of home grown lettuce and carrots on the side. Snacks and Dinner is where I add the variety and then of…

It may not be your thing but have you tried a thrift store or consignment shop

Yes, please log everything that goes into your mouth, even that gum. You will be surprised at how many calories are in some of those. And they do add up fast

OMG, yummy. Wish I had an Avocado.

I dont think I would be able to count calories if it wasnt for the app and barcode scanner. Those are the two things that made me join MFP, the app is so easy to use. The bar code scanner on the app makes it so much easier to add recipes too. O, and I have to Samsung SG3, have not had any problems with the app

You can either go with a heart rate monitor or a pedometer, i think one of those two is your best option
-
hmm, i wonder if it would work with soy milk and then pour into ice cube trays
-
Those look very tastey. I may try them with a little bit of cheese
-
These sound so yummy. But yea make sure you either grind the flax seed or use flax meal

Wow, awesome. Think I will have to make this, this weekend, with a few minor changes
