Just started on January 4th, but I'm down a pound and a half. Pretty happy, but it's been tough! I'd much rather be eating bread and pasta and chips and candy! Week One: 135 Week Two: 133.5 Week Three: Week Four: Week Five: Week Six: Goal Weight: 125

I've always heard salmon (high in omega fats) is awesome for your skin. If you like salmon, that is! If not, definitely take a fish-oil pill. Or avocados? Those are supposed to be good for your skin, too. And, as always, drink plenty of water. Flush out all the toxins and stay hydrated.

We like to sauté sliced zucchini, yellow squash, and carrots in a pan with salt, pepper, and garlic. As mentioned above, spinach is good wilted or raw in a salad. I've been making a lot of spinach salads lately - I put a combination of the same 4 ingredients on the top - grilled chicken, some kind of nuts (usually almonds…

I have this problem, too. I do wear a belt, but when I sit down, my jeans are a little lower in the back than I like! (but my boyfriend likes it though!!) My only solution is buying Old Navy style jeans - the Sweetheart style. They sit right at my waist, so they aren't too "old school", but they eliminate the…

I have this same problem. I asked this question on here some time ago. It seems like I eat most of my calorie/fat allotment at dinner time. I am not hungry in the mornings, as well. From the responses I got, most people said that I should just try to eat something for breakfast and just build myself up to eating a little…

From what I understand, no they aren't created equal. Not by a long shot. There are a lot of explanations for this, but I don't know all the scientific terms. (which foods burn calories quicker, good carbs vs. bad carbs, different kinds of fats, etc.) I'm sure someone will jump on here and tell us all about it!…

WOW! First off, gotta say that weighing 140 is awesome after having a baby! Good for you. I'm with you, though - am hanging around 135 and would like to get down to 125. I would agree that consuming more than coffee for breakfast would be really smart. Fruit, cereal, oatmeal, eggs. I know you must be extremely busy, but…

Yep, I blew it, too. Queso dip. Shrimp dip. Tortilla chips. Ruffles. Beanie weenies. Cherry turnovers. Hot wings. But, my saving grace is that I didn't go over by as much as I thought. (from my calculations, anyways) I also quit eating when I was full. AND I was tempted to drink pop, but I didn't!! Had water instead. It's…

I love, love, love the creme brulee! Yum!! That's all . . . .
-
Alright all of you!! You can think of me tomorrow at about 10 a.m. without underwear on - running my little tush off! (literally!) That's Montana time, in case you're interested!
-
Wow! You guys are awesome! I thought I did great today when I burned 575 calories! Usually it's around 350 or so. Sometimes when I burn a whole lot of calories, I have a hard time eating those extra caloires. I usually just up the almonds and add some cheese for a quick calorie boost!
-
Great work, Suldrun! I noticed that you have lost 12 pounds in the last month! That's awesome! 3 pounds a week is great! Keep it up! :flowerforyou:
-
Chub rub!!! I love it!!   Never thought of commando - might try it! Heck I should just run on the treadmill naked so NOTHING rubs on my skin! (sometimes my sports bra rubs right below my armpit and it burns - too much sweat I guess!) Ick - TMI!

Some may disagree with me, but I take Advocare products. (kinda like Herbalife or other lines out there that you can just get from a distributor) Yeah, I pay more $$, but in my crazy head it makes me feel like they are better than the over-the-counter kind. I may be completely wrong, but I'm cool with that!
-
Probably just for the ladies out there . . . I have a treadmill at home and I walk/run on it daily. One of my small problems is that I keep getting snuggies and it's driving me NUTS! Good thing I'm at home cuz I have to keep dislodging my underwear from my butt! :blushing: Anyone else have this problem??…

HEY - RunningSteph - I'm in Montana, too!! Where ya at? I'm in good 'ol Billings! Been cold here, lately! Dang!
-
It's fine - like everyone else says! Good job on doing so much cardio and strength training! An hour and a half is awesome! Look at the positive things - you did great today! And if you wanna burn those extra 9 calories real quick before bed - do it if it'll make ya feel better! It would take like 5 minutes or less!
-
Like everyone always says: Are you drinking enough water? Are you watching your sodium intake? That's all I can figure - doing those two things did me a WORLD of good!!
-
I ate one!!!!!!! And I didn't feel too guilty cuz it really didn't put me over much on my calories and fat. (didn't eat a whole lot of high calorie, high fat foods today, I guess!) And, boy, it was GOOD! I was gonna break it in half and just eat half of it, but then sat there and thought about it and said "Screw it! Eat…

My daughter's birthday is tomorrow and she wanted to bring monster cookies for her snack to the class. I just made a few dozen of them loaded with butter, sugar, peanut butter, chocolate chips, and M&M's. I LOVE them and want one so bad with a big glass of milk. (Skim Delight of course! ) I am resisting. I am…

I say - don't worry about it! Once in a while is not bad at all - keeps you sane! It's the consistent bad-eating habits that make us gain weight! One steak ain't gonna make you gain anything - especially if you work hard tomorrow!
-
I agree with Kristie! I didn't notice a weight loss for at least 3 weeks, maybe 4 - and I was doing everything right! (healthy food, 1200 calories a day, lots of water, low salt, and exercise) We're just all so different - but finally - it started coming off!! Now I am way more motivated! My advice? Just be patient…

I am fixing "breakfast" for dinner tonight and I decided to get myself some Jennie O extra lean turkey bacon at the store on the way home from work. Has anyone cooked this up and liked it? I'm a little freaked out! I like "real" bacon SO much, but at 4 grams of fat PER slice, I just can't bring myself to eat it. I…

WOW! That's quick - GREAT job!! Keep up the great work and I hope you get down to 200 by the end of February. I'd like to lose another 10-12 pounds by the beginning of March, so your story is inspiring!

My 6 year old daughter actually eats it with the skin on, too. I thought maybe that it wasn't good for her, so, I, too Googled it and found the exact same thing - it's really good for you and has a lot of nutrients and stuff. I, myself, couldn't eat the kiwi skin if I were starving - YUCK! That'd be like eating a banana…

Awesome job!!! Fast food is just so easy to get and it tastes good unfortunately! :grumble: I have tried to give up the fast food too - doing pretty good at it. (and soda too - I can't believe it!!) It really hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be. Something that really helped me? I got a printed sheet from McDonalds…

I would agree with the nuts thing. I kinda have the same problem most days - I burn off quite a few calories and am no typically that hungry in the morning (although I do eat breakfast) and then have a ton of calories to spend at dinner. (that's when I like to eat big - don't know if it's good for me or not) The "good"…
-
Oh yes, I forgot to add that I burned about 500 calories from exercise today, too - so that's why I have a lot of calories and fat to spend . . .
-
I am not usually hungry in the mornings - I force myself to eat breakfast because I know it's important, but it's usually fruit or fat free yogurt. I don't really start to get hungry until mid-afternoon and towards the evening. My question is: If I am eating every 3-4 hours all day, but save most of my calories and fat…
