Pedestrians absolutely do not have the right of way. Only in crosswalks. Outside of crosswalks pedestrians are to yield to all vehicles.

Did you drink as much water when you didn't exercise as when you did? For me I don't drink a lot of water unless I exercise. I'll drink a 24oz bottle while exercising, but don't drink it in addition to my regular water on the days I don't. So it could be water weight or, conversely, dehydration, that had you show weight…

If you were wearing a HRM monitor and know the calories burned you can add it. If not then maybe a circuit training would be close.

+1

One poster said their fitness machines overestimate their calorie burn, but the machines I use always underestimate mine. I use a heart rate monitor. That's going to be more accurate than the machine or MFP because both are estimates. I guess one will argue a heart rate monitor is also an estimate but it's more accurate…

There are a lot on youtube. Put in the search what you're looking for: aerobics, at home circuit workout, etc.
-
Sure is. It's all about getting your heart rate up. Give it 100% and when you can, do high intensity moves (like jumping or hopping) and it's a great workout. I run, but can only run once a week due to my knees and back. I run once a week, do step aerobics once a week and bike once a week for my 3 cardio workouts each…

Go to the gym if you're ready to workout in a gym... period. Please please please. I will tell you I have never heard anyone in the gym talk bad about someone overweight in the gym. Never. When I see large people in the gym I think to myself, "You rock!" and wish I could actually tell them that without making it seem like…

I'm not sure what MFP bases their macros on, but I used this to get my recommended protein from http://iifym.com/iifym-calculator/ You're not eating too much protein. What I want to make sure I'm not going over on is my calories and fat.

Exactly. Nobody can lose weight from one good day or one meal. We don't gain weight from one day or one meal either. Don't let it derail you. Keep going.
-
This. If you get good shoes you may have some discomfort but you should be fine. I overpronate and I got good inserts for my dance shoes and my feet don't bother me.

Try High Intensity Interval Training. Sprints, intervals, etc.... if you sprint and can't get your HR up I want to know your secret. lol.

I have but it is when I do biceps. I started warming up my arms better and doing a couple sets of 20 with 5 pound weights before going for my usual 25 pound weights. This has helped, but I still get pain after my workout when I extend my arm straight sometimes. I think my bicep is stronger than the tendons in my elbow and…

I disagree you'll gain weight if you start lifting. I reached my goal weight and started lifting heavy for 4 months now and have not gained weight. Women simply cannot gain muscle weight that fast. I have, however, seen a great improvement in my shape and my strength has greatly improved, and I finally lost another inch…
-
Yes. As you lose body fat lifting weights will help you not loss so much muscle along with it. And if you're lifting for strength gain, you'll see strength gain. (Such as 5x5 or 4x6).

You may want to reduce your goal from a couple pounds a week to 1 pound a week. This will increase your caloric intake. Also I recommend not going on a "diet". Find a way to eat within your caloric limit that you can do forever. Change the way you eat, hence your diet, but don't "diet" to do it. It took me longer than most…

I don't see myself as any different even though I've gone down 2 clothing sizes. When I look in the mirror I still see myself the same as I did 35 pounds ago. So I started taking progress pictures every 6 weeks and measurements. These show me more than pounds the progress I'm making. Don't allow this negativity to get to…

Yes... recalculate your calorie needs. When I lost 20 pounds my calorie intake when down and I almost cried LOL. When's the last time you changed it?
-
Great! I know what you mean my husband loves pizza. I started ordering a chicken salad with it. Now I eat one piece of pizza and eat the salad with it. Keep doing that small things... they make such a big difference.
-
Awesome! Way to go!
-
I would change my activity level setting.
-
I did reach my initial goals. Then I set new ones. I will not ever be perfect, but I'm better than I was yesterday. :flowerforyou:

I have a tendency to trust my HRM calories burned. I eat back my calories and have had results trusting those numbers. Honestly I think you should trust it. My hubby weighs 50 lbs more than I do, (plus he's a male lol) and when we do the same workout he burns WAY more calories than I do. When we walk for an hour on the…

This. I do cardio 3x per week and lift 3x per week with Sundays as my rest day. If you're combining most people recommend lift first.
-
You'll see strength gains eating at a deficit. That's what I do and my strength gains have made me very very happy. And I love it when my hubby stands behind me when I'm doing lat pull downs and he says, "You should see how awesome your back looks." Get some girl. You'll be happy you did.
-
I always think of how great I feel after my run and that gets me out the door. Go - you'll be glad you did.

My husband can't go without the sweets. So we bought Dove dark chocolate pieces that are only like 120 calories for 3 pieces. He has some probably 2 - 3 times a week but it keeps him from binging. There are no other sweets in the house. Keeping them out certainly helps if you have to make a trip if you're having a craving.…

Low impact for MFP refers to your heart rate level for your workout. Low impact aerobics class is more the class description than about your heart rate. You can take what's called a low impact class but burn a lot of calories if you're kicking up your workout level. I'd recommend investing in a heart rate monitor so you…

I do not wash my hair everyday it will dry out. I use dry shampoo on the days I don't wet wash it. My favorite brand is Batiste.... every scent I've used I love and it rubs in easier than any I've used. I workout Every day except Sundays and wet wash my hair every other day. Edit - just saw the question about hair stinking…

I addition to showering well before you workout, make sure not to rewear your workout gear - wash it after each use. I had a friend that would wear her workout clothes a couple of times before washing it because she said he "hardly sweat in it at all" but that second day was a doozy. If you're being clean hygiene wise and…
