  • Check out Vixens Challenges, its similar, you set a goal, put your starting weight, and your goal for the time period chosen, and then you have a challenge, made public, and you're not alone in it.
  • Please keep me in the loop as I am interested once I hit my goal weight
  • Yes. It can happen whether on BC or not because of diet. Strangely enough, dieting effects hormones because of what we are putting in our system and how its reacting.
  • Made my july 4th challenge then gained a pound.. So starting weight 274, goal weight 268. I wanna break that barrier!
  • Time of day is not important but time between and when you start eating is. According to a Fitness competitor friend, you should eat breakfast within 90 minutes of waking or your body thinks its going to starve and hits starvation mode. She suggests at leastone whole egg and one egg white cooked however you want it, along…
  • Saw a live theatre show in a place I knew I didn't fit in the seats well. Sat down and didn't realise til I stood up at end of show that I wasn't in pain.
  • These look delicious, thank you.
  • I have always been told its about what you eat as well. I can't see your diary but I have a friend who competes as Ms. Fitness and she says when she needs to shape up, she has one whole egg and 2 egg whites scrambled or cooked whatever way you want and then half a cup of oatmeal with fresh blueberries, maybe some stevia if…
  • I had trouble getting anything off until I started making sure I ate on a schedule. A friend ( a Ms. Fitness competitor) told me to make sure I eat breakfast above all else. If anything, have one whole egg, one egg white (anyway you want them) and then 1/2 cup of oatmeal within 60-90 minutes of waking or your body thinks…
  • Don't eat all your exercise calories which will give you a boost too. Don't hurt yourself by not eating enough but still, try not eating back all of them.
  • I have found that dancing has worked best on my legs. I am also of the thunder thigh type. I am 20" bigger on the bottom. I have begun doing bellydance and I feel it working on my outer thighs which is amazing. There are lots of exercises for inner thigh but not many for outer. Also Zumba does some good there too. A group…
  • I get that occassion and will now have to see how the timing fits with my weight loss... Hmm.
  • Its really all about who complains first. If you aren't calling HR about sweat pants on peoiple, HR won't do anything about it. How did HR know? Someone called and snitched. As easy as that. Sorry to say. Has nothing to do with actual dress codes or casual fridays.
  • I call this the body reset time. My belief about plateaus....Every now and again our bodies need to pause so we can physically catch up to our weight loss. Its natural, change things up again or figure out what you may have changed to slow things down but don't worry. It'll get moving again.
  • Ok I'm in. Made it to the 270's for Memorial challenge though not my goal. This time will have to try harder. There's a bathing suit involved. CW 278 GW 272
  • I work 3 nights a week til midnight. I take my dinner break sometime between 7 and 9 and make sure I have a real Dinner so I don't have more than a light snack when I get home if that. If I'm not working, I have my dinner at that same time. Make sure on nights when you don't work late that you have dinner at approx the…
  • according to this chart I've lost a 2 yr old holding a guinea pig! Or in my furry world, 2 house cats!
  • Thank goodness... I just finished baking chocolate chip cookies. I need strength and willpower. I ate one. But I really want to slather cake frosting between 2 and eat it slowly. I have put them in a baggie for work. If I reach for them again, I hope I have the strength to throw them away.
  • Yes. Its part of my regular exercise routime. I haven't done it lately and have noticed a slow down in my weight loss. But I also think it has to do with just moving and sweating, being active.
  • Starting weight 280.2 Goal for mem day.. 275
  • Also, I've noticed it takes 2 weeks for your body to get used to what you're doing and accept the changes. I didn't lose for almost 3 then it came off quick, now its stopped again and hopefully startiong back soon. I refer to it as a reset time so I don't lose it!
  • Don't eat ALL your exercise calories is my suggestion. I think that they choose your calories based on your age/ weight ratio and what you put down as lifestyle and exercise options so you'd lose that 1 lb a week or so. I use exercise as a way to lose more if I can so I try to NOT eat them. You sound active but I- like…
  • I am in the same boat. Have been in a plateau for a month. I have asked around an everyone says they go through it. I have heard everything from, it gives your body time to reset to change your exercise routine cause you're ina slump, to you're not eating breakfast. But everyone did say same thing.. keep going. And stop…

  • I tell people I'm not on a diet but I am trying to be healthier in what I eat and make better choices. Its not a diet, its a healthier lifestyle. If there is something I shouldn't eat, like white potatoes, I tell people I'm allergic, cuts all questions as to why I won't eat their food.
  • Wow. I really needed to hear your story today. Thank you.
  • Gardea, you make a wonderful argument and since I'm in a plateau, I wonder if thats the issue.
  • Ok..As I understand it, as long as you eat the basic 1200 calories, you're ok. If you exercise, you need to eat your goal calories. as for exercise calories, you can choose to eat those or not. Most don't and it adds to the weight loss. If you burn too many calories, then it might tell you you're not eating enough so make…
  • I had not noticed those comments on here but then I try not to read too many posts for that very reason. As the fat girl who ordered a salad at a restaurant only to have some skinny twits at the next table comment.. "That salad is huge.. and watch, she'll eat the whole thing". Its a salad ladies. Perhaps I should have been…
  • You sound like me on here. Getting busy in projects, skipping meals. Not wanting to cook. But this has really helped me get myself together. And having friends on here too helps. So add me if you want a friend.
  • Keisha thats a great idea. I should pay myself for weight lost and since my goal is to fit in airline seats better, I can afford to fly wherever when I've lost enough. My problem is the period sugar binge. Thats what I save my cheats for. To get through the first days. But getting better every day.
