No HRM here, either. I'm adding 300 calories (instead of the 600 p90x says) right now to see how it goes. First week lost .5 lb., this week lost 2 lbs. so I'm thinking I may add some calories. I'd rather lose around a pound a week.

good luck to all who are starting today! I'm on the rest day of week 2 - I plan to do some cardio and see if I have time for stretch x. Lost 2 lbs. last week doing the lean version so I might try to up my calories this week; I didn't want to lose much weekly.

finished up legs and ab ripper this morning - those wall squats do me in! Looking forward to a rest day tomorrow and then getting into week 3. I'm also going to weigh in tomorrow and see if I need to add more cardio to lose at least .5-1 lb. a week.

I mixed up my days today - woke up thinking I should be doing kenpo but realized I was on legs. I've been waiting to do Kenpo again since last week so went ahead and did that and I'll just do legs tomorrow. Skipped yoga x today and instead did a circuit training dvd and then some time on the bike - can't wait to do Kenpo again tomorrow. I'm looking for a more upbeat yoga dvd to use intstead of yoga x - I hate to have a day where I dread doing the program.

I'm at the same place in the program - lovin' shoulders and arms, too. I'm thinking I need to go out and get 10 lb. dumbbells for a couple of the moves, but on most of the others my 5 and 8 lbrs. work. Can't wait to see more improvement on the ab ripper. This week when I do yoga x I'm going to skip some of the beginning and get further into the dvd - see if it picks up at all later on. Also, I have a pilates for weight loss dvd that I want to watch and see if it's any better.

Ab Ripper kicked my butt the first time, too. You think you're in decent shape and then find out you can't do a sit-up! But just wait because it get's better pretty quickly - I'm on my second week and feel I can do a little more than last. Just keep pushin' and don't give up!! Starting week #2 tomorrow - feeling great so far although sore after the leg workout. Really thinking about getting an HRM to check calories and make sure i'm not eating too many or too few calories. Thanks for all the great input - you guys really provide great inspiration!

I've finished the first week, also. I've got the same idea as you with workout time although I'm sleeping in until 5:30 a.m.!! Looking forward to the workouts getting easier over the next couple of weeks and being able to do more reps. I can't wait to do Kenpo again!

Day 6 - LOVE KENPO!! I think I could do this everyday! Felt pretty uncoordinated on some of the combination punches but thought it was a blast and got me sweating. I finished up Day 5's workout today - legs and back/ab ripper x. Really felt the legs and back workout. I can't do all the ab ripper moves now, but my goal is to be able to do them by the end. i've got my calories set at 1800, also, but don't know if I'm really burning the 600 they build in for the workouts. Today I actually saw a half pound gain on the scale, but it's only Day 3 so I'll have to wait and see if I need to adjust my calories. I feel good so I think that's what matters. thanks for the message on the forum name - started p90x Tuesday and actually saw a little gain on the scale today. Hopefully I am back down for Monday's weigh in - think my calories may be set too high at this point. Oh well, it's a work in progress! Have a great weekend, slimpossibles!

that is a great idea - I started p90x yesterday and find myself trying to figure out a lot of the moves as I go along. I figure I'll get better at them as I go along in the program, but I'm loving it so far!
