Same boat, here. Just turned 51, still perimenopausal and the weight is creeping up. Mindless eating is a huge problem for me. Hoping we can keep each other on track!

Just received my PiYo today, so I'll be starting tomorrow. Looking forward to this program!

This is all such great info. I got through 2weeks of Push the first time I did CLX, but then started another program. Going to be starting over with Burn on Monday. I love the results you see with this program!

How do fuel points compare to exercise calories? That was the one thing that confused me about the fuel band. Although if it keeps you motivated that's really what it's all about!

I also think your 1600 calories are fine - I'm 48 and agree with all previous posters that it is harder to lose or maintain now but we can do it!. As soon as you're able to get active and exercise you will see a change. It may be slow, but slow is better! I have found that adding some weight training into the mix has…

glad to hear these results - I am using T25 in between days with Chalean Extreme.

I'm only in Alpha - but I love the Speed 1.0 workout!

I got to the 90 second series and fell off the wagon as work has gotten crazy busy - would love to jump back on board with this challenge. Just doing it the 12 days or so I really did see some change in my abs. Amazing what a "simple" plank will do!

I have had T25 for a couple of weeks and have been working it in between Chalean Extreme workouts. I love that the workouts are short but you really work up a sweat and I like Shaun T. I try to do most of the workout but do modify a lot. I plan on sticking with the Beta phase until I feel pretty comfortable and then moving…

I've been having an english muffin w/ almond butter a couple times a week before bed and have been losing regularly. If I'm hungry, I eat and I try to concentrate on getting some good protein when I do.

Thanks for all these great recipes! I'm saving this for later when I have time . . .

Is Wild Yam something to be found at health food stores? What about Emerita (sp?)? For me, it's mostly moodiness at this point, some night sweats, and trouble sleeping. Fortunately, I haven't had a hot flash yet. So glad for this thread and information!

This thread is really getting me interested in JM Body Rev. I had heard it's good for losing pounds but not so much for the lifting . . any opinions on that? I want to loose some belly fat at this point but am also really interested in having some definition in my arms!

I think as long as you have calories there is no reason not to have a glass of wine (or two!). I would rather exercise a liitle more or watch what I eat during the day to enjoy a drink than not.

I'd been using c25k for a while but eventually just started "running" for as long as I could, usually around a mile and a quarter. I usually set my treadmill at between 4.2-4.5 and slow it down to a walk when I need to. When I started "running" outside I finished 3miles in 50 minutes (slooow!) - but I just finished my…

Hi all! So many interesting comments from everyone! I'm 47 and am finding, like a lot of you, that the weight doesn't come off as fast or easily as it once did. I lost around 25 lbs. in 2011 using mfp only to slowly gain it back due to slacking off on exercising and enjoying my wine too much! Lately have really had a hard…

47 and looking to keep active and fit for as long as I can! Keeping on track see ms to get harder and harder for me - hoping a group of like minded 40/50s will help. Just ran my first 5k and hope to run a couple more this year while improving my golf game.
-
I just ran my first 5k and I used the c25k program for the most part. There's also a book called Run Your Butt Off which starts at a really basic level. I also went to a running store and got new shoes. I just told them I was training to run my first 5k and they were really helpful with getting me into a good running shoe…

Great info - bump for later

So glad I read this after I'd been on the treadmill this morning ~ don't know if I could have done c25k after that workout. Did I really sign on to do this daily?! Here's to ridding myself of Fatty!

I weigh in tomorrow - thinking I'll be somewhere around 157

I'm up for a challenge!
