Get the breathing down first. Stick your face in the water and exhale, turn your head at 90 degrees (half of your mouth will still be in the water probably) and inhale, do this a lot. Part of the issue is that you are using large muscles (back and legs), part of the issue might be trying to hold your breath, it's an…

Have you tried running barefoot? If you don't want to go that crazy or it wouldn't be particularly safe to (ie you are a trail runner), you might try Tuf-Foot. I've never used it, but I know of others in the barefoot, minimalist circle who do. I've read mixed reviews, but mostly positive.

Men's Health Spartacus 1.0 and 2.0 are both good routines that don't involve anything beyond dumbells. It's an HIIT program. They have DVDs and stuff that they sell now, but you can still find PDFs of the first 2 workout cycles online.

My vote is neat hourlgass, and dayum.

In addition to what everybody else has said, I'd also check the course layout and elevation and strategize around those factors as well. Lots of hills or tight bottle necks might affect your pace in certain areas of the course. Get into a groove with folks running about the same pace and hang tight for the first couple of…

I have a garmin 310XT because I also bike and swim and I love it. It was the cheapest multisport (swim) capable one I could find. It tracks mileage, speed, elevation, and has a HRM hookup if you wanted to go that route as well. It syncs with Strava and MFP. My only complaint is that it takes a little long to find GPS…

Is the riding up a problem for comfort reasons or on account of being self conscious about it? If the problem is more the latter than the former you could try wearing compression shorts and then a pair of basketball shorts on top. That's what I do, since I feel uncomfortable wearing just compression shorts around most of…

Also, keep in mind that 64 oz of fluid includes water that naturally occurs in fruits and veggies. Just do the pee test. Your aim is straw colored to clear pee, if it's dark then drink more. Don't try and over think it, it won't be a big deal unless you are an endurance athlete.

@ShellyBell999 Profile creeped. Dayum. Yes. No offense RJ, but your post wasn't there when I hit sumbit!

Sounds like PF to me. Get a lacrosse ball and roll your foot around on it, get a foam roller and roll your calves/Achilles and hamstrings. Every day. I also switched to minimalist shoes which helped me, because it keeps my Achilles stretched. That is definitely not the solution for everybody, but it worked better than…

I like C9 - which is Champion's "B" line. They are available at Target. I also do a lot of outlet shopping, which gets me good deals on some of the more popular brands. I have an adidas running hat that I got for 5 dollars, inexpensive shoes, compression pants, etc.

@slimgirljo15 haha, you are probably right. Always worth a try though

@CandiedCarrion you got it! :o

Not pervy, probably cycling related.

TBH I'm not sure I've got a pervy pm in me, and if I got one, I'm not sure how I'd respond.

If she sent one first.

Sneak him power tools wrapped in hamburger.

@Rochelle951 Oh my, I'm a lucky man. I feel like I should probably get a hair cut and trim my beard a bit if I've got a new gf to impress.

She tried to stab me too. It happens constantly. :D

Tried to stab me.

Couldn't get her out of the bathroom, aka the selfie studio.

@PewterSky I totally understand. I've been a bit busy myself. Did enjoy the conversation though  @Rochelle951 I'm doing pretty well today. How's about you? ....and that's an official yes for Rochelle.
