*Disclaimer* In college I had a professor who didn't believe in censoring anything from his kids. We'd often see his two young daughters tagging along to adult poetry slams or at art shows with lots of controversial images. The idea was to not let certain issues become taboo and lead to secrecy and shame later on. I always…

Just this morning our 3 year old daughter crawled into bed with us. Then she lay her head on the pillow, closed her eyes and said "I'll go to sleep now so you guys can do sex." Speechless.

I seriously hope you never ever ever have children. I would much rather have a big kid with an equally big heart than fit kid who thinks its okay to pass harsh judgments on people he finds inferior. You can say that a certain type of parent may be making their kids fat but as$hole parents are making THEIR kids into bullies…

You know that dance where girls make their butt cheeks "clap".....yeah I've totally done this on accident whilst running up the gym stairs. The first couple times I looked behind me because I honestly didn't know where the noise had come from...then I figured it out.

Whenever I log my Kinect excercise I just look for a similar Wii game that is listed in MFP's excercise index. Obviously its not an exact count but then again nothing that isn't measured with a HRM is.

Watching A Christmas Story the other night I started tearing up at the scene when he finally gets his Red Rider BB gun.

Me too, and it the biggest challenge for me to overcome in terms of healthy eating. I've heard this referred to as "feeding the fire"....the "fire" being your metabolism. If you don't feed the fire it just smolders but if you feed it the right amount at the right times it burns bright. Of course this is just a theory but…

I thought I hated him too until I picked up this book of quotes that was created by Oprah. They were quotes on things like life and love and survival by all different kinds of people (actors, comedians, philosophers, politicians, historic figures, etc.) I forced myself to read the quotes before I looked at who wrote them…

Did it mess with your ability to Breast Feed at all? I wasn't able to BF my first child and if I get the chance to BF #2 I don't really want anything messing that up.

I'm considering Mirena after baby #2. Anybody get theirs right after a pregnancy?

I tend to have the same problem, I plateau after every 5-8 lbs lost and it is very frusterating. I have tried the zig-zag method. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Best of luck to you.

In high school I went from a 24 to a 14 (40 lbs lost) in about 4-5 months, I then lost an additional 40 lbs and remained a size 14 (go figure). It's not happening so quickly this time around though.

Used to drink the coffee ones. Is that monster or a different brand?

My 2 year old daughter got a rare strain of salmonella (that hadn't been documented in the US since 2002) this past spring and we still have no idea how she got it...no one else in our household got sick but that may be because this particular strain tends to only affect people with weaker immune systems. We took her to…

I love it, we use it for everything from cereal to cooking to coffee creamer. It is a little more expensive but there are usually coupons for it in the store or in the paper. Also our store has a store brand that tastes exactly like Silk or Blue Diamond.

Celine Dion.....I know she is kind of off the radar right now but I don't think I will ever get over hearing that damn Titanic song 10x a day when I was in high school.

Resistance bands can work wonders too

I love the unsweetened Almond milk....it's pretty rich though but I like that.

This was totally me when I was younger. I lost about 80 lbs post high school and kept it off for about 5 years. Those years were such conflicting times. It felt great to be "thin" but suddenly I had all this other emotional stuff I had to deal with. I often found myself trying too hard to be "normal" or "desirable". It's…

Depends on the state. In both Mich and TX you can turn right on red on a two way street but it is optional and not something you HAVE to do. Some people just aren't comfortable doing so. I also have a story about the "wealthy people using food stamps" issue. I worked in a supermarket for a long time and a while ago there…
