  • I move heavy tires..
  • Nope have not heard of it; but the principles are sound. I will often do a workout routine which only takes about 10-15 minutes to complete but will have between 500-600 reps of arm exercises. Obviously when you are talking that number of reps you really can't go super heavy. Now not sure if I would stay with 3 lbs. I…
  • The FT7 is pretty good, as you get in better shape the numbers will come down. This is normal.
  • Why is it that women always want to differentiate the difference between their natural waste and what we really want to measure. You stomach is generally where people are trying to lose body fat. So I recommend measuring that at the belly button. Not at the waste where your pants sit.
  • That the tire has a deeper meaning; like that is what I lost!
  • yes yes yes, a thousands times yes. There is such a fine line to walk. I feel comfortable at 185, but everytime I get there I back off just a bit and I am back up to 200. Seems that is just where my body wants to be.
  • A lot of the time I just do a breakfast Hash. Whatever is left around from the day before; warm it up throw eggs ontop and go. The other thing I like to do is Turkey Kilbosa about 2 oz sliced thin; obrien potatos. Cook them then throw eggs on and scramble. I usually go without cheese, just add a little hot sauce.

  • Cravings are not always bad, unless they are twinkies or something like that. For example; you did mention salty stuff. It is possible in a calorie restricted diet to deprive yourself of the appropriate amount of sodium. Believe it or not it is essential; and many people do not realize that when you up your water intake…
  • I care about it. Not because I see it as a value of self worth, but because my old *kitten* knees can't carry the extra weight anymore. If I want to avoid hip and/or knee replacement that single variable has to be kept in check.
  • All of the vitamix machines will do both hot soup and ice cream...
  • I have the 5200, you can drink your cell phone if you put it in there with a little water....
  • My only comment is variety; I like lots of variety. And someone already mentioned push/pull--try to make sure they stay even. I don't even work them the same day like that. I may do all pushing one day and all pulling the next. Then the next week I may mix them together. The point being you need to change things up. Order,…
  • NO NO NO!! You don't feel guilty about that!! You do what you are doing and give encouragement to your OH when appropriate. You may find if you play this right that he will join and you guys will share a common interest that will bring you closer. But you can't force the issue either; people have to come to terms with this…
  • OK, I feel the need to add some sanity to this!! Yes I agree with all of the other posters; you should do something today, it will infact help. But make sure you are working something other than the things that are sore. Working the same muscle groups day after day will lead to overuse injuries. You may very well be doing…
  • Depends on your needs based on your training routines. Most people who do HIIT, Metabolic, Circuit Training, should be looking at about 1 gram per pound of body weight. Those looking to gain mass should be at about 1.5 gram per pound of body weight. If you are mainly a cardio person you can go as low as .5 grams per pound…

  • What do you mean is it worth it? Yea there is not a big calorie burn; but yoga provides a ton of benefits. The biggest is prevention of injuries during your higher impact activities. Doing yoga will make you better at all of your other activities. Personally I do restorative yoga, it helps the healing process from all of…
  • Well I was almost counting on this happening. I understand and accept your premise. There is nothing wrong with it. This string was specifically about women who are doing this on purpose. Let me rephrase my answer. I don't think you should be 5'8" and 100 lbs. I don't want to see your bones.
  • Actually, my work has a health and wellness program which allows us to add 1 hour to our 30 minute lunch 3 times per week. But it has to be used at our onsite workout facility. So I get an hour there. Then I do martial arts classes 6 days a week. I have just made it part of my daily plan...
  • Well as a man.... Women who are 5'8" and weigh 100 lbs are gross!! At that height I find nothing under 130-135 attractive!! Women are supposed to have some curves. I have no attraction to womem who look like 12 year old boys!!
  • My why started with "Chest Pains"; maybe significant maybe not. But the bottom line is it scared me and I am to young to have a heart attack. But I also don't miss several things like not being able to breath and tie my shoes at the same time.
  • I guess I could just be another person to tell you some pointer on how to do squats, but I would suggest it is likely a flexibility issue. Work on your hip flexibility and you will likely crack this nut!!
  • OMG, I have not seen blatz and them pudgy little bottles since the 80's I thought they were replaced by red stripe...LOL
  • Just to tell you, I never use to sweat at least not a lot. After age 35 or so it started. Now despite the fact that I am not longer bigger, and I am actually about 17% body fat; I still sweat like a pig. I thought maybe I was not getting enough sodium, so I took that to dangerous levels, still the same just turned crispy…
  • 2 potential problems. 1. you have something wrong. In that case as already suggested I would go have a dr. take a look at it. The other is you just have never worked your flexability for that joint properly. If you search the internet: Gold Meal Bodies (GMB) has a free flexibility resource guide (chapter 2 deals with…
  • Also if you do plateau add some calories...
  • Just keep changing it up. Do different workouts; even doing exercises in a different order can help. Also with your calories don't allow your body to adjust; If your normal is 1500 calories throw a day or two in each week where you get to 2000.
  • I am not afraid to admit; I was stupid as a child. I no longer have any desire to be batman, or a cowboy! Plus I think my current job pays better!
  • While you can definately see it in how the shirt fits; I think the change to your face is even more noticable. Congrats and keep it up; you look great!
  • 2-4 Hours. Depending on the day.
  • See my blog http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/jim9097 Specifically, towards the bottom I talk about Anytime Meals vs Post Workouts meals. Not only can you eat after hitting the gym you should. After a workout you need to get energy to the muscles, eating after a workout will allow you to utilize your insulin response to…
