  • Yea don't be afraid to try new things. You might find that the plan you like is one you would have never thought of.
  • start such a pointless thread!
  • Overtraining; I am an expert at that. The feelings you describe are not overtraining. When I overtrain; I am a train wreck and I just have to take a day or two off. I can no longer function; and it hurts to stand up. So like the other posters have mentioned try weighing your food, and tracking the actual in calories. They…
  • I personally prefer Metabolic training which is a combination of the two. Start with an active warm-up followed by strength training with bouts of cario mixed in. AKA do a set of curls, followed by a minute of jumping jacks or jumping rope, then another set, and so on. I use all kinds of cardio in there, froggers, burpees,…
  • Who needs motivation; I am addicted to the endorphins...LOL
  • I just use the entry that says USDA chicken breast 6 oz. 8 oz is 1.33 servings... 10 oz is 1.67, etc, etc...
  • I do 13 - 17 routines a week. This is very doable but you are not going to be able to get away with it without any variation in exercise. You really do have to give your body time to heal. Within my routines, I have circuit training, martial arts classes, running, elliptical, and walking. With all of that said, I try to…
  • Nothing. Just Nothing!
  • Your attitude is awesome and infectious! You win HERO status for the day! Congrats!!
  • There was so many: Yosemite Sam, Fog Horn Leg Horn, Road runner.... Then of course there was the un animated: ultra-man... <--I know most of you never heard of this...
  • ^^^^^^^^ This! I don't get the eaters remorse, but my body almost instantly wants to go to hybernation mode. I get lethargic and lose all motivation... I can't stand that feeling!
  • Couldn't agree more.... ^^^^^^..... The ribs are located right in the center of your core. Personally, I know of very few exercises that do not involve the core in some way, shape, or form!! I would just work on getting better!
  • I don't know this could be the beginning of a downward spiral into back alley pizza deals and the like. You know where this is going. Hi my name is Jim and I am addicted to Pizza... LOL Only kidding, you got to enjoy it every now and again, but you have to avoid the trap of doing it all the time. There is some crack pot…
  • NOTE TO WOMEN: MEN do not place the same VALUE as YOU on the scale! <--This is a truth..... Then just read the bold words!!
  • Being at home would be awesome.... Look around and think about all of the things you could do. Do you have steps in your house, how about chairs, a 5 x 5 space. You can do squats, lunges, (many variations), pushups (many variations), abs work (to many variations). There is so much you can do; just look up body weight…
  • ^^^ Wish I had seen this before I posted I would have saved the 2 minutes I wasted writing it...
  • Wow, I have read plenty of misinformation in this string. Peanuts are not nuts by the way. Despite their name they are in fact a legume. When you look at the fat content of a almond vs a peanut they are also not the same. Almonds have omega 3 fatty acids which have significant health benefits. These are also called…
  • I don't know who this clown is that told you not eating would make you faint. Truth is, energy is stored in your muscles as Adenosine triphosphate (ATP). This is done several hours before you workout. You muscles hold approximately 90 minutes worth of usable energy. Once you run out of ATP then your body will turn to other…
  • In addition, to my 09 HD Ultra I also have a 07 Yamaha Silverado Classic. Don't ride it as much as before I got the HD, but I keep it around.
  • 2009 HD Ultra Classic.. I feel like a failure; I have only managed 21000 miles since getting it in 09. But look forward to getting out on a couple rides this upcoming summer. No picture I am at work now. Also notice I am wearing the Orange HD shirt in my avatar!!
  • You are correct; however, I still have my doubts about the 1157 calories. I am over 2 hundred pounds, I can do that kind of burn. But not normal gym stuff; I have to go do MMA style training to get that kind of burn rate.
  • By the time it is all said and done; the ACA aka ObamaCare is going to require that all employers have a health and wellness program. The Dept of Health and Human Services has already put out the initial guidance. I read that 127 page document and it appears that you will be punished by higher rates if you do not…
  • What is your body telling you? Are you hungry or not. If you are not hungry chances are you did not burn as many calories as you think you did. I would just listen to my body. If I was hungry or fealt I did a hard weight training and needed extra protein I might eat some of it; otherwise wrap it up.
  • Oh I tried the P90X bars they were good, but you can find just as good at the local stores for half the price. Tried the recovery drink to, did not like it. I found that I liked the Amplify Wheybolic better
  • Yes, I used the basic nutrition plan, aka the one with the 7 protein blocks, 2 carbs, etc. I lost 51lbs, and my wife lost 42lbs. By the way don't get discouraged your husband will have better results in the beginning, your will come in phase 2 and 3. Woman generally need phase 1 to build the initial lean muscle mass so the…
  • ^^^^ This, it is for tracking purposes of what you did during the workout. The calories burned are only done from the cardio part.
  • Bull crap! You can get everything you need from bodyweight alone. If you are not that means you are not doing it right, or are not doing enough. While weights are a great tool; they are by no means necessary. 99% of people have never bothered to try and master their own body weight. You can put your body weight into angles…
  • Depends on what you believe. They are zero calories, but a bunch of recent studies say that the sweatness is causing confusion to your body which may be causing weight gain. Now if yoiu ask me that is not even the biggest problem. The biggest problem for me is the actual sweatner. "ASPERTAME" Not sure if you are familiar…
  • I guess only one thing to say; I am impressed. You get hero status!!
  • Yea 6.2 a day puts you right in that 190 range... I think that is really a lot even for marathon runners.
