My Five .... Frasier The Simpsons Two and a half Men Yes Minister/Yes Prime Minister The Cosby Show Really tough to limit it to five, though .... I expect if I were to answer it again tomorrow Friends and The Office might find their way on!

If you are short of time, in addition to your two gym sessions and sticking to your calorie plan, add in press-ups every day. Not sure how many you can do now, but if you stick to it you'll find you'll improve pretty quickly, and it will make a great difference. Also, its easy to fit them in time-wise

Very visible and definite progress - excellent work! Good luck on the rest of your journey!

My first ever car (black Toyota Celica) was called Ninja - stealth and speed. My third car was called "McLaren Honda" - named because of the dominant F1 race team at the time (when Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna would disappear after the first corner, and noone would see them again - until they were lapped!) My current car…

This is meant to be a thread giving BAD advice ....

A few things .... 1. Puffing my way round to a distant and exhausted last place in our annual 3.5 mile race 2. Having someone (genuinely) leap to my defence by saying - "Oh come on ... he's not THAT fat" :-) 3. Realizing one day as i stepped on the scale and it said I had reached 101.5 kg; I figured that was nearing…

Not sure whether hunger is the right word, but when I go for a long run early in the day, I typically feel like I need to re-fuel (i.e. a bit weak; but not classic stomach rumbling hunger)

@daboss - 19?

Mostly estimate. I do weigh a few things though, to get an idea so I can estimate them in future. Also, I eat lots off barcodes and restaurants/shops

Does not compute! The guy in the picture looks 26 .... Name suggests 34 ..... Name and picture do not match ,... error ..error (at this point the computer blows up!!)
-
@berri ... tough one .. but 26

Count me in too. I'm looking to lower mine - but I have a hard time telling what it is now. Depending on which of the six(!) means I've used over the past six months I'm somewhere between 8% and 24%!

I don't trust mine at all - well at least no the calorie burns. It always seem to come up with huge over-estimates. My theory is it effectively "double counts" by adding in calories you burn doing nothing. So, I reckon you could sleep for three hours and have your HRM tell you you just burned 250 cals!

I'd be keen to know how you get on. I'm hoping to run a 4 hr marathon in April. I have a half in October, and I'm thinking I need to be down at 1:55 (which is still a way off) to have a realistic chance of making 4hrs by April

There's a ton of great advice in this thread. One thing I did that I helped me was to mix in some shorter runs occasionally - and just run them faster (so you could do 1.5 or two miles - but quickly). This made my "normal" pace feel a lot more comfortable on the longer runs.

If ever I pass by SF, we could work out together This would be you ...... and this would be me! Happy Birthday!!
