Don't know if relation to "air" is required, but "Up and Away" makes me think of a child on a swing, trying to "shoot the moon," as we used to say. I see long hair trailing in the wind. But if that puts me in the "I heart Thomas Kinkade" crowd, then I say make it a zombie child ... with tattered clothes trailing in the…

Somebody didn't get the memo. ;-) (Do get that sunscreen, though.)

This is a big one for me, too. Everyone's finally gone to bed and I finally have some uninterrupted quiet time for me...and I want to enjoy it with food. I've done okay (knock wood) by reserving some calories for the end of the day and making the snacks something like Laughing Cow Light with pretzels or crackers (counted…

You always, always sparkle. In your pics and your posts. Truly inspirational.

One unexpected benefit of honest tracking is that when I have a "bad" day now, and I start feeling down on myself, I can look at the graph for the past 90 days and see, in a glimpse, that my worst days now are an improvement over my average days back then. As the song says, "And then I don't feeeeeeeel soooo baaaad." hehe

Truly awesome. Must be so great to find out you had it in you to do something so amazing. Beautiful spirit, beautiful person (you remind me of Agnetha from ABBA, especially in the faded pic in your profile). :-)

I started MFP in March, and my fluids at the time consisted of coffee in the morning and Diet Coke the rest of the day...4-6 cans/day. Because of swelling in my ankles, I decided to try to cut back on the soda, and I started drinking bottled water (never did like tap water, and Dasani tastes great [yeah, CocaCola was still…

Oh, the turkey bacon thing is disheartening. :( I was all set to try it out. We had some at IHOP a few weeks ago, and my daughter (who won't eat anything that threatens to be healthy) and my mother (who makes fun of every healthy food I choose to eat) BOTH liked it. Maybe it was just the brand?

ChefMD got me started on sauteed Brussels sprouts (divine!), and I like to make a big pot of Rachel Ray's curried carrot soup to have on hand all week (a little bit before a meal keeps me from overdoing other stuff if I'm eating what the rest of the family is eating). I'm also eating lots of cauliflower (raw, mashed,…

And here I was, thinking I might have to try numbers 42 THROUGH 70 first thing in the morning. hehe  Bump indeed!

Honestly, I think you've answered your own question. If someone posts, "Help, I feel guilty on my cheat days," and you want to be supportive and helpful in replying, why not say what you've said here (if I may paraphrase you): "I don't know if it's helpful or not, it seems to keep some people on track by keeping them from…

I've really been enjoying ChefMD. http://www.chefmd.com/ I love that there are SHORT videos of all the recipes, and I like the "Food As Medicine" idea. His recipes are all beautiful, and the ones I've made have been a joy to eat.

The cauliflower pizza crust looks and sounds AWESOME!

Ok, my mother HATED them, so I never had them as a child. As an adult, I tried frozen, and I quite liked them. But when I started MFP (March 4) I found a recipe on ChefMD for Sauteed Brussels Sprouts, and I made them tonight...for the THIRD time. They are SO yummy! Here is the link:…

Gonna make my first post on MFP a big CONGRATS to you! Your excitement is as inspirational as your story. AWESOME, you.
