Weather isn't a valid excuse either. Go have a snowball fight, build a snowman, go tobogganing (I recently went tobogganing with my brother at the hill we used to go to as kids. I barely made it up the hill and down twice before I was bagged. My dad used to pull two kids up that hill, then walk down to meet us at the…

You need to stop using your kids as excuses. You are their father. If you need 30 minutes to do your work out, you set boundaries that they are to entertain themselves and not bother you while you have your time. If you get up early and the kids get up too, take them for a bike ride, to the park and play soccer or tag with…

I find if my husband wants dessert, I'll fix him a portion, steal one bite before I hand it off, then go occupy myself elsewhere. Sometimes that one bite is all I need. Other times, I'll just dip into my bowl of fruit salad while he's eating his cupcake and if I'm feeling really badass, I'll add some cinnamon and granola…

My favorite part is that I don't get the 3pm burnout anymore. My energy levels remain high from 5:30 onward until bed time.

For tilapia or other white fish: Fish in Crazy Water Layer fillets in large frying pan Add enough salsa to coat (I also add extra veggies-whatever I have on hand, cut in large pieces) Add 3/4 cup water Bring to boil, then lower to simmer for 10-15 mins until fish is cooked Remove fish and veggies with slotted spoon, set…

@junebaby- that dress is phenomenal, and you are rockin' it. Nice work!

Try different things until you think, "hey, that's not so bad." Eventually, it will turn into, "I kind of like this" then, "hell yeah, this is awesome!" Maybe start with 5 small meals instead of 3 larger ones. In that way, you can have your small portion, but you get to eat again in 2 hours. Find an exercise you enjoy and…

That would be the point where I would have said, "speak for yourself"

That's very noble of you to admit. Thanks for posting this. It's good to see people learn from this community and can appreciate everyone's struggles.

I lost 6 pounds in level 1, 3 pounds in level 2. 0 pounds in level 3. I'm 3 days from the end of level 3, and was getting frustrated too, but I did take out the measuring tape this morning, and the inches are still coming off. How are you feeling during the workout? I felt sore the first couple days, but it's started to…

That's awesome! I love the early morning workouts. The first step out of bed is the worst, but the workout keeps you energized all day! Keep it up! My NSV today: I had the worst sleep last night. I woke up at 3:00am completely congested and coughing up a storm. It was 4:45 when I looked at my clock last before falling back…

You store fat over your whole body. When you lose weight, it's not like your body takes a big 10lb chunk off your left butt cheek. Sometimes it comes off the strangest places. For example, I have lost 9 pounds, and instead of my clothes fitting looser, I've noticed my wedding ring now spins on my finger like it never used…

I'm in the same club! I got married in June 2012 at 163 lbs February 2014, I decided to step on the scale, and was shocked to see it at 184! I had to do something. That's when I got serious about MFP and losing weight. I'm now at 175 and working hard to get below my pre-wedding weight. My husband has gained some as well,…

Only 3 days left of 30DS. I was feeling a bit down as the scale has not budged since level 2, so I cheated and took some early measurements..... thighs are still melting away! Final results to be posted Friday. @lizzie - maybe playing some mariachi music while working out would get you motivated for Mexico! Haha!

There's a group here called "brown bagging for March". People post what they bring for lunch. I get lots of good ideas there.

I really enjoyed GSP Rushfit. It's a workout system with about 5-6 different DVD's which give you a range of workouts you do on a 90 day schedule. It even includes free cardio days, so you could work in your Tae Bo with it. I'm currently doing the 30 day shred, but will probably do another round of Rushfit in the…

Crazy awesome transformation! Well done!

@Spluto Keep going! Levels 2 and 3 are more intense, but I enjoyed them much more. I am really liking level 3, and have been sore all week from it. I don't find it's an intense pain, but I definitely feel like I've put in a good workout that will bring positive changes.

I took measurements before, and after levels 1 and 2. Will post the final tally next Friday when I'm finished. I had a large weight drop from the onset, (9 pounds), but have maintained the same weight for the first week of level 3. I upped my dumbells this morning from 5 lbs to 8 lbs. So hoping this extra push will give me…

I did my 30 Day shred with 8 pound weights instead of 5!
