Your stats are my stats. I lost 40 pounds in 2000 and heard the same things. I got down to 145 bounced back up to 149 and maintained there for quite a while. I heard Oh, you lost so much weight! You are too skinny! You should stop!...blah blah blah.... I gained some weight over the years (about 15 pounds) and have decided…

All of the above is great advice. Preview the menu, decide what you want before you go. Pick a healthy restaurant. Workout to bank some calories. BUT, you also need to put going out into perspective.... Why are you wanted to lose weight in the first place? Most likely because old habits have gotten you to where you are…

A: When you are no longer hungry or when you have met your caloric goal for the day :)

Greek Mousse Yogurt, Pita chips and Edamame Hummus Frozen Grapes Almonds and String Cheese Apple and PB2 Celery stuffed with cream cheese and salami

If you look under cardio and enter strength training, you can enter the length of time you lifted. It will give you some credit for calorie burn
-
I'd personally rather eat those calories instead of drink them!

Sounds like a nice change up from the cottage cheese pancakes that I am currently addicted to!

Had something very similar to it last week. VERY tasty!

I'm not really one to evaluate another's diary. Just wanted to say hi as nobody has responded yet. They will though and there is a lot of good advice out there. Just be sure you want to hear it when you ask :) Glad you stopped lurking and posted :) This is a great start to help avoid those freshman 15!

You sound pretty busy as it is. I think if you forget about the working out right now and concentrate on the healthy eating, you will see results. The "me" time in your day is important. I spend mine at the gym and get up a little early to have the house to myself. But, maybe, you could spend that time planning your food…

Sounds like maybe you have done WW where fruits and veggies are zero points? All those calories will add up :)

I have damaged discs in my lower back and suffer sciatica more than I care to. I'm not sure if you want to call this "significant" but I feel your pain and endure it myself. Please friend me if you like!

They may be in your dishwasher! They could melt the tupperware that you keep your brownie bites in during the drying cycle

It was actually my son that was doing the dishes. He turned it off pretty quick. And yes, I have learned how to use a grown up spoon but would like that tiny portion of ice cream to last as long as possible!! Paper shredder huh?.... interesting.

Too funny! But I totally agree. It's OK to have those things once in a while, but if they are a trigger to overeat, then maybe they need to exit your meals for a bit. I eat a lot of protein also, and find that I'm not as hungry to snack during the day.

Hi Lou! Welcome :) What do you mean by a standstill? Have you been losing weight and plateu'd? Not motivated? Need new exercises? You can look in my food diary for ideas if you want, though I have to warn you, it's not very exciting.

Hi Rhye, I agree that you could get some more protein in your diet. Good for you for thinking in that direction. Try if you can to start eating more clean foods and not packaged snacks. They are FULL of sodium and sugar. Hard boil some eggs to have on hand or grab a can of tuna with some mayo and pickles. All are great…

I'm close to my goal but would love if my body decides it's happy at a lower weight. I've been low carbing since July 24th. I dropped 7 pounds the first two weeks and have been at the same weight since. BUT...... I have dropped 2% body fat in the past three weeks while stalling out on the scale. Build some muscle and make…

I see no veggies in that diet.... Agree...."low carb" is not "no carb". Nutrition is KEY in any way of eating.

Hi Princess, Do you crave carbs? Are they a trigger food for you? I'm not diabetic either, but found that most of my trigger foods were carb and sugar based. I was snacking mindlessly all the time. I opted for a low carb diet to cut out the mindless eating. I feel much better. I average under 10g of sugar a day and keep my…

Hi Harpy! I'm starting weight training too after just doing cardio. I too have a lower back issue and am working hard to strengthen my core to help support my back. I use the machines as it seems to not aggravate my back. Every other day, I do total body weights with cardio. I push myself just a little every other time.…

It doesn't seem like there is a lot of fat in your diet... I know that "some" is needed. Do you cook your salmon in olive oil or anything?
-
How bout a quesadilla with a low carb tortilla? There are lots of good ones out there with 3 net carbs.

Hi All! I'm 5'7" and 160. Started my low carb way of eating 3 weeks ago. Was a lifetime point counter before that since 2000 and maintained at goal until.... My F-I-L died last Oct and 17 pounds "all of a sudden" appeared. 7 are gone, but I too have plateau'd. (sp?) I had been eating around 1300 calories a day, and…
