  • Thanks, that's what I've been doing so I'll give it some more time and hope it gets better. I'm over halfway through p90x and have recently started doing extra leg/butt toning exercises with a resistance band that were in my health and fitness magazine. My bum has firmed up a bit but just worried about my thigh muscles lol
  • Bump. Anyone?

  • I gained65lbs while pregnant and have now lost nearly 85lbs. As I said above my tummy is nearly flat after 2 years of working on it. I can say that it has gone down the most and quickest since I started p90x. I would definitely recommend getting it as its amazing. Good balance of cardio, weights, and the best ab work ever…
  • I'm doing p90x and love it! Definitely recommend :)
  • I agree! I'm not one of 'THOSE' (although I can't be since I was 'fat' from gaining too much weight while pregnant) but if someone asks me how I lost the weight I tell them. I don't bring it up unless someone asks for fear of being one of 'those people'
  • Quinoa, lentils, beans, chick peas, veggies, fruit, cous cous, barley, brown rice, etc etc. you can have a look at my diary as well. We spend £150 per month on food for 2 adults and 1 toddler that eats nearly an adult sized portion. I plan all meals at once and order groceries online so I don't end up buying stuff I don't…
  • I would suggest joining a group or getting help with the underlying issues that are causing your unhealthy relationship with food. It's ok that you slipped up just don't let one bad day throw off your week :)
  • Just keep at it. I had a lot of belly fat after having my daughter and nearly 2 years later it's almost gone. You can't spot reduce fat and for lots of people tummy fat is the last thing to go. Keep losing weight all over and eating healthy and it will happen
  • Edit: I would say tho, if you are really truly hungry, don't drop so many calories all at once. Start with like 500 per day and go from there.
  • It took a little over a week. I used to over eat badly! I'd have a medium pizza, 5 bread sticks, and 2 cokes from pizza hut TO MYSELF! I'm only 5'6" and was 145lbs at that time. I can't believe I wasnt 200lbs since I ate like that every day and had half of a cake before bed at least 4 nights a week. I started eating…
  • This has been my goal for2 weeks and I had no idea there was a group! Mon 9/12: 1229 (p90x- cardio x, Plyometrics, Yoga x, and general strength training) Tues 9/11: 351 (walking and extra cleaning) Wed 9/12: 209 (extra cleaning) Thurs 9/13: 945 (p90x: ab ripper x, cardio x, core synergistics, and extra cleaning) Total:…
  • Grea job! I'm nearly at my goal of burning 3500 calories this week! :)
  • I sprained my back very very badly (I couldn't even dress myself) and I couldn't exercise at all for 5 weeks. That was at the end of July and it's just now almost all better. I focused even more on eating healthy and not going over my calories. I didn't gain weight but did have to work fairly hard to get my stamina back…
  • I eat some of them if I'm hungry but I don't ever force myself to eat if I don't need it. On a side note, inches are more important and accurate than the numbers in the scale IMO. I didn't lose much weight with the shred (15lbs) but lost several inches and got more toned. It's a great starting exercise but I wouldn't stop…
  • Yep! Also healthy food doesn't have to be expensive. We used to spend £400+ per month on ready made foods like Kievs, battered fish, jar spaghetti sauce, etc etc etc and now we spend £150 on things like beans, veggies, fruit, pulses, etc etc we eat so healthy and I plan a month's worth of dinners at a time! We also got…
  • You will be hot. You might not be a size 00 but still super hot. If you tone your body it will look amazing no matter what size you are. That's what she's trying to tell you and you CAN do it. I have body envy but every time I find myself comparing myself to someone skinnier I just think of how proud I am for the weight…
  • Bump once more for any more ideas. Swimming is great but I doubt she would agree to that since she'd have to go somewhere before or after work, unfortunately
  • Thank you! You can do it!
  • Bump for when more people may be on
  • I've always been the 'froo froo queen' as my mother says. I do my fake tan regularly, exfoliate, and always apply lotion right after I shower, floss daily, wash my face 2x day, etc etc etc. moisturising is great for your skn and it doesn't have to be expensive. I've actually found that the cheaper facial cleansers and…
  • My daughter is 20 months old and I've got to say, for me, the tummy was the hardest spot to lose weight and tone but I does get better! I did the 30 day shred for 2.5m and that helped me get my fitness started but should by no means be your end game. It's tough at first but it isn't that difficult in terms of a workout. I…
  • Use a lighter and do 12-15 reps to build lean muscle. Even using heavier weights and only doing 8-10 reps as a woman, it's unlikely you'll get bulk. Edit for exercises: do deep swimmers press, tricep extensions, pushups, plank pose, side lying tricep rises, curls, reverse curls, straight arm shoulder raises, rows, table…
  • I would definitely try eating a bit more and drinking more water and see if that helps.
  • I'd look online or go by what it says and create your own exercise
  • Wow! You look amazing and have done a fabulous job! I'm proud of you and don even know you :) inspiration for all of us mommies
  • I'm in this is what I've already done this month: 9/1: 215 min 9/2: 60 min 9/3: 60 min 9/4: 150 min 9/5: 110 min 9/6: 180 min 9/7: 160 min 9/8: 90 min 9/9: 50 min 9/10: 45 min (so far today but plan to do more) Total: 1120 min/ 18.6 hours Goal: 52 hours this month! :)
  • Bump for even more ideas :)
  • I' m just over half way through p90x and it's gone down several inches (finally glad to see some progress after a year of doing circuit training and running every day). I finally don't look pregnant anymore. Still have a few inches to go tho. It's weird because everywhere else is pretty thin and my arms are sticks. Can't…
