  • Congrats! I'd take this as a NSV. Hope your hubby was planning something fun!
  • Way to go with the weight loss. I'm sure you can keep losing it.
  • Not lazy, smart. I use gerber bowls for the same reason.
  • It's hard to say without looking at your food dairy but a drasric chance in your diet could result in a sudden drop. I suspect it will slow down in the coming weeks. God's blessings on your journey to a healthier you.
  • I'm 30. I'll be your friend.
  • I"ll pray for you. I was a PT. Now I'm a stay at home mom. I always lose weight when i'm working even though I eat all the junk that would come into the office. Remember God works through suffering. This website can help to just make you aware of what you are actually eating.
  • It can be your shoes, walking too fast, doing lots of hills, etc. While it hurts: rest, elevation, ICE!. Strengthening you ankle muscles can help such as pretending to draw your ABC's with your big toe progressing to doing it against resistance bands. I'd start by buy good shoes if yours are old. If you persist you might…
  • First of all let me say you really don't look like you need to lose weight. 15 is an important time in you life for your body. Your body really does need a little fat around your middle, hips, etc. to perform basic functions like ovulation. If you just need some confidence then try an activity like sports, band, debate…
  • I bet you'll get a variety of answer on this one. I only add activities that are truly above and beyond the norm for me. So doing dishes no. Yard work yes, Walking to the mall probably. Some of your daily activities should have been factored in when you established your activity level.
  • I'm with you. I was just about to report the same problem. It's been 4 wks for me. I hope you get some good feedback.
  • I would suggest you eat your exercise calories. Maybe add some more carbs so your body doesn't break down muscle to feed itself. Keep up the good work. You can do this!
  • I think it's okay to relax one day a week. Personally, it seems to help me lose weight. If i'm good too much the scale doesn't budge. I think it prevents your body from going into starvation mode. I would try not to let your net calories get too high and cancel out the good you did the rest of the week.
  • Way to go! now the tough part, put all those big clothes in the to give away bag!
  • Listen to your body. If you're not overly sore the next day, then i think it is fine. Eat back your calories and take it easier on your off days. Let your trainer know what you're doing and they can target different areas than your Pilates class
  • I'd have to disagree with a previous post. Peeing is the only way your body can remove certain toxins from your body. While it is bad to drink too much and flush out all your nutrients, it takes a lot of water to do this. aiming for 8 cups of fluid a day will allow you body to remove all the waste without removing too much…
  • Sometime i get dizzy when i'm dehydrated. But if this continues and your not pregnant, i would maybe see your doctor. Frequent dizziness can be a symptom of serious medical problems but it can also be a just vertigo which can be easily treated.
  • You've gotten lot of great ideas here. You can also consider ice tea instead of soda if you can keep from sweetening it. I might also take a look at your breakfast choices. Maybe a bowl of cereal instead of eggs? If you're eating out a lot, then i doubt you need more protein. Maybe pack an apple instead of a whole lunch.…
  • That might depend on how invasive your surgery was. Was it microscopic or invasive? I think i would bump up your calories for a few days, esp. your protein to help yourself heal. This would be a great question for your surgeon or physical therapist.
  • I'm in the same boat. Stay at home mom of two. Feel free to friend me too.
  • Well if you want honesty there are some days i just don't want to look that number in the face. I try to forget that day happened, brush myself off, and strive to do better tomorrow.
  • If these comments are happening at work than that's harassment. Talk to your boss or HR department. Otherwise I think you need to stick up for yourself. maybe, "John, I can't believe you just said that. We all have our faults and obviously being a jerk is yours." I know it's tough when you consider yourself a nice person.…
  • under My Home, Goals, change goals, custom. It's should let you play with your daily requirements.
  • Squats are a good way to tone your legs. You say you have bad knees so make sure you keep your knee behind you toes while squatting. think of sticking you butt out like your about to sit in a chair instead of allowing your weight to go forward. this will be easier on you knees.
  • 15 lbs is great! Don't be so hard on yourself. When you have a big goal like losing 100 lbs. It can seem daunting. Make some realistic short term goals for yourself and reward yourself for each milestone. Remember it took years to put on all that weight, it might take years to get it all off. Try not to "diet". instead…
  • It's really great that you want to added protein to your diet to help you bulk up. Just a word of caution on shakes and bars. Check their ingredients and sugar content. Plus too much protein is really hard on you liver, kidneys, and your brain. It's harder for your body to break down than carbs or fat. The processes also…
  • You don't say much about your way of dieting but in general you maintain/increase muscle by eating enough protein, not going under 1200 calories a day, and weight training. I've had some of my best weight loss while lifting.
  • Sounds like you're between a rock and a hard place. Too often those docs who are really good at what they do, know it and get a god complex. Next time, I'd call him out on a rude comment. It was completely unprofessional. Sometimes doctor's do need what seems like odd information from you to make the best suggestions on…
  • I agree with a previous post about not focusing on the past but make good choices now. Can you do toes raises at the copy machine? take the stairs and not the elevator. Maybe cut back on a snack somewhere to make up for not exercising in the morning.
  • Honestly do you have to be on "the pill"? The pill causes a women to go through constant PMS: depression, decreased libido, decreased motivation, and weight gain. The are other natural, safe, and just as effective methods out there such as the SymptoThermal method.
