  • I made this last night but instead of canned crescent rolls, I made gluten-free crescent rolls from the link I posted above. It was awesome!! No crumbly or sandy gluten-free taste, it was excellent. The dough recipe really was just like "gluten" bread. My brother-in-law and husband ate it almost all up (I served it over…
  • Oh awesome, I just remembered that I'm newly gluten-free and that I can't have canned crescent roll dough anymore. Well, I still have this on the menu for tonight but I'm going to make my own gluten-free dough. Here's the dough I'm going to try: http://www.food.com/recipe/gluten-free-crescent-rolls-382474 Amazingly, I put…
  • *looks on desktop to see "bacon" is clearly written on the weekly menu* Well, can't help you there.
  • Is it possible you could buy fresh fruit like apples, oranges, or bananas and take them with you to the dining hall? Eat one before your dining hall meal and down a glass of water or two before your meal... That way, even if you're uncertain about the calories in the pre-prepared food, you'll fill up your stomach a bit so…
  • I've found that if I use flavored ground coffee, I use less creamer (International Delight.) A year ago, I used 4 Tbsp of creamer in my coffee... Hard to believe now, it adds up. I usually use 3 Tbsp now, but if I use a flavored coffee then I only need 2 Tbsp creamer. Right now I'm using Dunkin' Donuts Jelly Donut with…
  • Sounds awesome... You could probably also make it in pie form. I found a very similar recipe on a different site over a year ago. Use the crescent rolls as pie crust and add in ketchup, mustard, onion powder, chopped pickles, a smidge of pickle juice and shredded cheese to the already-sauteed beef. Darn tasty. This recipe…
  • Holy wow. Wait, 10 months?! This is insane! You look incredible! Great job!! The amazing thing to me is that your "before" pic is truly like looking in a mirror for me. And I too am very sensitive to carbs... The only way I've lost significant weight in the past was to cut my carbs a ton. So, I'm interested... Could you…
  • Be gracious about it. "Thanks, I'm working hard to get to where is healthy for me/where I want to be though." Also, you may see yourself as being overweight, but honestly... There are many other people trying to lose more weight that would LOVE to be starting where you are instead of the longer journey they're on (myself…
  • I so want to see your Yuri Lowell costume. Judging by your icon, you would rock!
  • If I were you, I would make something that fits me now. You never know what could happen between now and then. Cosplay is too expensive and too time consuming to end up with that kind of disappointment. Besides... Like now, I personally wouldn't buy clothing that I only *hope* to fit into (as in, more than 1 size too…
  • Thank you!! I was looking for good crock pot recipes, I love to make crock pot dishes on the weekends. (: Here's another one I've made a few times... DELICIOUS! So good, and great for serving company! http://www.slenderkitchen.com/sunday-slow-cooker-pork-tenderloin-and-apples/
  • I work out my thumbs playing Halo with my hubby. (: Haha! But seriously, I didn't even know that the 360 had these games available. All I ever hear about is WiiFit, and we don't have that either (no money right now to be spending on new video games.) I think "Xbox 360" and I think of Fable, Halo, Soul Calibur, not…

  • I'm 5'7" and when I was about 185-187 lbs, I was a size 14 in pants and L shirt. I'm pear shaped. I had lost the weight by diet alone, no exercise except for walking. Now I'm 213 lbs, size 16-18 pants and XL shirt. Truthfully I have lost almond no pounds but my clothes have gotten looser from a tight 18 pants and XL-XXL…

  • Looking forward to trying this! (: *saving for later*
  • This is a really good idea. Tiring your pets out with playing/walking can help keep them from using their energy to destroy your things or from attacking you as soon as you get on the floor. Or, to OP, you can just try to plan your exercise when your cat is already sleeping... And you know how they love to sleep! (:
  • Can't say for sure, but do you eat/drink other foods with the same kinds of chemicals in them? Fake sweeteners? Have you been exercising as well? TOM coming near? It could be water retention. It's not quite related, but my mother gave me a bottle of green coffee bean extract. She was taking it because she liked that it…
  • This past Christmas, my in-laws got us a Keurig. We never knew we wanted one and never knew we would like one... But we LOVE it and have used it almost every single day since. Compared to our old coffee pot, the Keurig makes it taste so pure. I used to put International Delight in my coffee, since I think the taste and…
  • Years ago, I used to take frosting from a can and spread it on bread. It tastes like cake. Yesterday evening I had about a third of an 11.5 oz can of dark chocolate peanut butter flavored mixed nuts. And then I had no less than 5 mint chocolate Milanos and some coffee with International Delight white chocolate mocha. I was…
  • Saddlebags... You squeeze yourself into a small chair with arm rests and your thighs squish out from under the arm rests! Ugh!
  • WHY do Hubby and I say "yes" every time the Taco Bell people ask us if we would like one...
  • Sometimes you lose more inches than pounds, so you become smaller even if the number on the scale doesn't go down. Me, I haven't really lost many pounds yet, but I know that inches are coming off and I feel so much better! I'd be embarrassed if someone asked me how many pounds I'd lost. It's a pressuring question. Not…
  • Not sure if these would be up your alley, but they're the kind I make most! Sweet sandwich: Modified PB & J (I have eaten it for breakfast as well a few times now) -2 slices of Ezekiel bread -2 Tbsp of apricot all-fruit preserves with fiber -2 Tbsp of Barney's Almond Butter, smooth kind Savory: Ham and Avocado Sub -wheat…
  • Bump!
  • If someone asks how much weight you lost, maybe you could reply something like: (example) Nosy person: "How much weight have you lost??" You: "Well, I think the most important thing is that I feel great and/or lost some inches!" If said nosy person persists, you could be blunt and respond, "That's a really personal…
  • I think I started on the third of this month... Pretty sure today was Level 1 Day 7, and it's considerably easier than when I first started! To everyone else in the early stages, you can do it! Push through! It's definitely worth it so far. Already noticing a very slight change in the way my clothes fit, combining 30DS…
  • I found some different options on Hungry Girl when I wanted to make my birthday cake. I mixed 1 box of lemon cake mix with 1 cup of water and 1 cup of no-sugar-added applesauce. I baked it at 350 degrees for the time on the cake box. When it was done, I mixed equal amounts of refrigerated Cool Whip Free and a whipped white…
  • Shame on me. ): I was at the grocery store, and I was going to pick up tilapia and some pepper to slice since I only had 300 calories left for dinner that night. My husband calls me... "Hey honey, do we have any plans for dinner tonight?" "Well, I was going to make something, but I didn't get it yet. Why?" "Can we get…

  • Not the most ridiculous, but annoying: those frozen veggies that steam in the bag. Why does it say 3.5 servings when clearly there's only enough broccoli for two people? Veggies should take up a good portion of the plate but really, it's not like I'm stacking it a mile high, either.
  • Definitely see results, mostly in your tummy but also a bit in your back and legs. Awesome job! (: My hubby is doing the Shred with me, hoping we'll get some great results too!
