What I've learned: Being healthy is most important. If the gluten and dairy causes harm to your body, it's not worth it. It is a little saddening at first to "let go" of the foods you're familiar with, but when you can make them yourself with substitutions or get used to it, you WON'T miss the pain! I eat gluten-free so…

To not have chubby fingers. Maybe lose a shoe size (or more.) To weigh less than my husband for once. Cosplay. (: Because wallowing in pity over how big my butt looks wastes time when I could be AWESOME instead. I am kind, cool, and worth getting to know, no matter what I look like- I just want to express that with my…

Why would you want to limit the noodles and broth of ramen? ): Then... what is it? You're going out with your daughter for her favorite meal, enjoy your time with her. :) If you're concerned about the calories then maybe take a long walk or jog to burn a couple hundred. Or, just eat at maintenance calories for that day.…

Definitely log. If you're counting calories, count ALL the calories. Weigh them with a food scale and find them in the MFP database, making sure you distinguish between raw and cooked as the weights could be different. Say I have both broccoli and cherry tomatoes every day for a month (I must really like them!) and I don't…

Some (fairly) low carb tips: Cheese sticks are a perfect low carb snack. Always have them around. If you want to cut calories, Cabot 50% fat block cheese is perfect. Pair it with something like cherry tomatoes or sliced deli meat. Yum! Canned chicken and canned tuna are also great to grab. Add some mayo or your favorite…

I agree about portions. I will eat a reasonable portion of the [GF] lasagna I made for both of us for dinner but I will have a huge helping of vegetables on the side. That way, I'm full of just 1 serving of 400 cal lasagna :) As for snacks, since I eat gluten-free and my husband doesn't, I already buy snacks just for him…

Some of them could be good... Maybe something simple like a Dragonball Z gi, that's hard to mess up. But I'd watch out because most of them are made cheaply yet overpriced. If I wanted to buy a pre-made costume I'd find one from someone on Etsy who'd take commissions and has pictures of their work, or find a cosplayer…

WOW! Way to go!! You look so much happier and younger, too! Congrats!

Thanks to you, now I'm going to hear the Fellowship of the Ring theme song in my head every time! Dun, dun, dun dun DUN... I love it! Those suckers run fast though, I wish I could load that horrible feral ghoul sound into my music to play at random times. That would sure get me running!!

WHY DO I LOVE FOOD! But I only really have enough calories left today for dinner and an iced coffee... Iced coffeeee....

Meat is low-carb, delicious, and full of protein (obviously!) What more could you ask for? :flowerforyou: I recently had a lot of calories left for dinner, and a whole avocado needed to be eaten immediately or it was going bad. So I had 7 1/2 oz of baked shredded chicken with a whole mashed up avocado and freshly ground…

I also find that if I'm too much under one day, or if I still eat decently but try and bank a big caloric deficit, the next day I am uncontrollably hungry. And then I eat all the things. Edit: To the person above... Mind reader! Haha.

Gluten hidden in grilled chicken? Man, I hate that kind of thing. Bought pre-made from the store, right? One of the biggest bummers with that sneaky gluten is in Pringles. Even the plain ones have wheat starch! Sad! Though I did see recently a grocery store bakery had these cheesecake truffles... Well, the ingredients read…

Came in to say the exact same thing! Since I've been on MFP consistently for about a month, I've been finding that my lunch I bring to work (that I used to be able to eat all of) is too much for me now. Not a problem, since I bring the excess back to eat later and it saves money!

@QueenOSpades: Awesome! I can totally see you as Tifa from your pictures! You would really look like her a lot!

I second the Sam Fisher notion  I would say his cosplay looks like what he's supposed to be but unfortunately I only know Sam Fisher... lol. Still a great job!

5 year old cosplay of me.

Ultimate dream cosplay would be Cortana from Halo 4. I just now realized, my husband and I have always thought my mom has an extreme resemblance to Catherine Halsey (also from Halo, creator and "mother" of Cortana) but a bit younger. And people call me a clone of my mom... haha. Just more incentive in hopes I can pull it…

This story rocks! YOU rock! :flowerforyou:

Dark chocolate-covered frozen banana... There's this brand called Diana's Bananas in the frozen section that makes them. I think they're also called Banana Babies or something. Only 130 calories for that amazing-ness. I could save money by making them myself, but I already make a lot of things from scratch because of…

Huh, I wonder how this would work with my gluten free flour. I've missed tortillas since having to go GF (corn ones... not the same. Rice was pretty bad too, unfortunately.) I may have to try this!

You should totally do it! I used to do TKD with my whole family, including my mother who at the time was in her mid 40's (and has always been heavier than me.) We did it so long that we became instructors at the school (: And we all got in great shape. Now I have been kind of overweight for as long as I can remember, but…

There are only two that my husband and I have decided on for sure... Peter for a boy, and Eve for a girl. I also like Thomas or Tom, and my husband likes Vaughn. Abigail is a lovely name for a girl but I don't care for the nickname "Abby" so that might be problematic. Plus, "Abby" would have a cousin "Addy" so that would…

I'm an early 90's child but we still had some remnants of the 80's when I was growing up. :) Surprised no one has posted this yet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7pqPpa3qiM "Family lives a year in the 80's"

Gluten-free chicken tenders by Perdue! I did a double take when I first found them, and did it again when I tasted them. I couldn't believe they're gluten-free! And they're so easy to make, and not that expensive either (when compared to other GF brand tenders at my store, they were cheapest for the amount) I love cutting…

I've been eating it dipped in just a smidge of "rich and bold" Thousand Island dressing or peppercorn ranch. I switch up the sides so I haven't gotten too tired of it yet... It goes good with cherry tomatoes, or tossed in salad, or whatever. Or you can just add mayo and make it chicken salad. Personally can't use the BBQ…

Aww... I saw "Cod" and thought "Call of Duty." I eat tilapia anyway. EDIT: So glad I'm not the only one!

A tablespoon of Nesquik powder to plain flax oatmeal. Mix it all up while it's dry, add banana after it's soaked up the water. Delicious contradiction...

Okay, good! Is it possible that you could make extra food when you make dinner the night before, and take it with you for lunch the next day? I've been doing that and it's been working really great. When we're done eating dinner, I pack the remaining food up then so it's easy to grab. It's also cheaper. EDIT: We've been…

Hey! I eat gluten-free also. I'm relatively new, but maybe I can help. Let me get this right... You *do* have access to a microwave at work, right? What have you been eating at your lunches so far?
