This isn't true at all! There are two types of fat storage in the body - visceral and subcutaneous. Visceral fat builds up in the abdomen and the surrounding vital organs. It can infiltrate the liver and other organs including muscles and the heart. Subcutaneous is stored under the skin and causes cellulite and dimpling.…

LMAO, I don't think I'll ever be able to eat cottage cheese again. :noway: I usually snack on olives, a couple of buttered ryvitta, pickled onions, slices of cheese, fruit and seeds.

Have you tried talking to her? Try explaining gently how much the exercising means to you but you've not been able to go because you've been so worried about her and you need her to be strong and let you have your downtime so that you can be strong and supportive for her in return. It might be that while she's feeling so…

I followed a healthy low carb diet when I dieted for my wedding last year and lost a lot of weight as well as feeling better than I ever had. I have no idea if it's because I ended up eating less items containing gluten (I recently discovered I have a gluten intolerance) but my psoriasis had almost cleared up and my skin…

No I don't think he's doing it deliberately but I do think he's completely clueless that he is contributing to her unhappiness. You can't aggressively force someone to feel happier in themselves. I tried to explain to him what he was doing wrong and offer advice. It's up to him to take it. He is being a hypocrite in…

Oops, double post.

Yeah if you want. I'm really not all that bothered either way.:flowerforyou: It is a fact however that some people who say "that was wrong" won't do whatever it was again and some people who say "that was wrong" will do it again anyway. Although my posts regarding this weren't directly referring to OP (I made a…

In any case, until anyone can prove that saying "I was wrong" is concrete proof of anything at all, I believe my point stands.
-
Nothing triggered me, I was actually responding to what another poster had said about people 'getting off their high horses' because he'd said in his original post that he was wrong to do it. All I did was point out that just because someone admits they're wrong it doesn't necessarily mean they are sorry or that…

Couldn't agree more. (Although for the record I never once accused him of being abusive. I was trying to point out why admitting something was wrong isn't the same as saying "but I won't do that again") .

It is the same. I didn't say he beat her. I was pointing out that although he said it was wrong - it's not an apology and doesn't mean he won't do it again. I only used my ex as an example of how just because someone says it's wrong is doesn't mean it won't happen again. I'm not sure what exactly is so hard to understand…

The principle is the same. He might call it wrong now, but recognising something as wrong isn't the same as apologising or deciding not to do it again.
-
My ex used to call it wrong and call himself scum every time he went through his little guilty "I'm so sorry" stage after he'd beaten me up. It didn't stop him doing it again and again each time he got in a mood until I left his sorry *kitten*.

OP, I couldn't make it to the end of your hypocritical post because I couldn't believe you were on to dish out advice for women when you're one of the causes of your own wife's crumbling self-esteem. I am a woman of very low self confidence and so I think I can understand how your wife feels. For a start, being…

Milf? Is that really appropriate if you're just looking for friends?

I have to admit, I'm a bit shocked to see this kind of thing on here. I thought this was a health & fitness site?

Me too!

^^ SO this!

I think the OP was just asking why others find it attractive when she personally feels that it isn't. She stated it was her own personal opinion and didn't call women with this body type ugly or say she hated them so not sure where the aggression has come from when it could have been an interesting debate. Personally I…

Hi, I'm new here and British too, currently living in North Yorkshire. :-)
