Pizza fruit Sunday weigh-in PW:274.2 CW:276.4 My apologies to my team members; last week was a bear. This doesn't justify the gain and it sure doesn't help the team's goal. I'll do much better next weigh-in.

Short term - I want to be able to ride my bike for 10 minutes while building to 30 minutes and beyond without any leg and knee pain. Long term - by Spring I should be fully recovered and able to take long walks.

I took a long hard look at recent pictures of myself and had nothing but negative thoughts about how I look. I couldn't find one thing I liked about myself. For so long every morning I'd look in the mirror and think and/or say out loud "I hate you". That in turn taught me to not see what was right in front of me; that I'm…

Wow! Determination really pays off. You're a great ambassador and inspiration. Congratulations.

Sunday Week 1 PW:271.2 CW:274.4 Physical therapy has been completed and I've been cleared to walk short distances and ride my recumbent bike for 10 minutes working my way up to 30. Here's hoping the fluid in my leg clears out for good and I can return to getting healthy.

Sending my deepest sympathy @simbersea. The loss of a loved one is hard whether it's expected or sudden. Sending prayers to you and yours.

Hi all! I'm returning after a long absence. I'm also in physical therapy. I fell on the ice New Year's Eve and surgery the same day. After a week's stay in the hospital I was in rehab for 2 months. Lots of sitting in a wheelchair and great food. Now that I've made progress I've been cleared for exercise and finally,…

So sorry to hear of your loss; it's never easy. You've endured and that's a victory. Only 11 weeks? It may not seem like much to you but the noticeable change is immediate. Great job!

So impressive. Brings hope and promise to all.

Congratulations, what an accomplishment! I'm back AGAIN, only 120 lbs. to go. Although I shouldn't be, I'm amazed at how quickly the time flies and how quickly the weight comes back on. Your post is an inspiration and so timely. I'm hoping to finally learn the virtue of patience. Thanks for sharing.

I broke my leg New Year's Eve day. It took me until March to get released and back home. Recovery was therapy once a day. The remainder of the day was spent sitting in a wheelchair. On one of my trips to see my surgeon I read the medical records the rehab center sent with me and I saw the words "morbidly obese". I was…

I had posted last week that my husband heard that UA was in financial trouble. I got a response stating that the rumor was untrue. These types of ongoing, unresolved problems makes me wonder how long MFP will continue to exist and whether I'll continuing using this sight.

Good Morning, I'm Mary and have been a member of MFP for what seems like a lifetime. If I spent as much time actually making healthy choices as I do worrying about my weight - I'd be where I need to be at this very moment. I need to make (re-make) the commitment to do this and make the struggles of being morbidly obese a…
