In the past at the first of every month I would reflect on the previous month's weight loss or gain, I would look at what I did wrong and berate myself for screwing up another month. My approach has been *kitten* backwards. I looked back at April and learned a few things about myself. Yesterday I realized I have a bad…

Happy May one and all! I'm Mary and the prodigal daughter to MFP. I've been back here for a while trying to get my act together. I'm my husband's caregiver and I've allowed circumstances to justify my stress eating. I can't care for him if I don't take care of me. I have to accept the fact that not matter how slow the…

Pzzafruit Week 2 Wednesday Weigh-In PW:277 CW:277 Although I'm not contributing to the team's or my own success this week, I'm very thankful I didn't gain. @Calli1616 - Nice loss! I am out of prison but part of the Huber Law. Looking forward to a successful week.

What is it about holidays that have people like me go off the rails? It's like a free for all, a prison break, and my last meal all rolled into one. I'm still fighting the "all or nothing" thoughts. A new week and reshaping of my attitude. Time to learn, forgive, and move on. Have a great week everyone.

Great post. Thanks for letting us share in your success and happiness. Well done!

Pizzafruit Wednesday Week 1 PW: 275.4 CW:277 +1.6 I went off the rails this past week and I'm still figuring out why. I've started reading The Beck Diet Solution; very interesting. Not looking for a quick fix just a better understanding of me.

I always read with excitement the posts because of the different perspectives and the strong support. Often times when I read, I end up wondering why I'm not successful. Why is that? How come they can do this and I can't? What do they have that I don't? What is the secret to their success? In my trials and tribulations…

Hi Melanie! Thank you for the thoughtful response. I'm so use to seeing user names I forget we all have real identities. My name is Mary and I'm really looking forward to meeting the challenge. I had thought about doing Keto and then read up on it. Their program has you log foods too. Aside from my feeling it's too…

Hello all! I'm determined to get back on track. I'm married with 2 adult children ages 39 and 37. I'm a retired assistant bank manager and my husband has been retired for 28 years. We're a hefty group and I've decided I need to do a much better job of leading by example and more importantly, take better care of myself. I…

Please keep posting; you give others like me facing the same Covid/weight loss challenges hope. Great job, thanks for sharing!

Great, inspiring journey. Thank you for sharing your story. It's so important for those of us who have alot of weight to lose to see the progression of your experience and be reminded that this is possible. You look fantastic!

Very nice and so happy for you.

Of course you deserve this! Everyday day holds a challenge and you've met them head on. I used to think that I was meant to live my life overweight and unhappy. It's taken me years to turn my thinking around and there are days I still struggle with negative self talk. I have to remind myself often that even though I…

Even though the number can be overwhelming, seeing your post reminds me that it's possible. Thanks! :)

Pizza fruit Sunday weigh-in PW:274.2 CW:276.4 My apologies to my team members; last week was a bear. This doesn't justify the gain and it sure doesn't help the team's goal. I'll do much better next weigh-in.

What wonderful news! It takes determination and self love to accomplish such success. Continue to inspire; I look forward to your continued journey.

Congratulations! Thank you for posting and adding to my list of people I admire.

Short term - I want to be able to ride my bike for 10 minutes while building to 30 minutes and beyond without any leg and knee pain. Long term - by Spring I should be fully recovered and able to take long walks.

I took a long hard look at recent pictures of myself and had nothing but negative thoughts about how I look. I couldn't find one thing I liked about myself. For so long every morning I'd look in the mirror and think and/or say out loud "I hate you". That in turn taught me to not see what was right in front of me; that I'm…
