I had an endo doctor. Very helpful. He put me on spironolactone, atenolol, glipizide, etc I would ask about all your symptoms and how best to manage them. Endo's see the full picture, where a doctor may only take care of one part of the problem. They really are best for management of PCOS. They do a very good job managing…

I gained 11 pounds back also and surpassed the 300 mark too. I was in period of unmitigated stress. I decided the worst thing I could do is give up and keep adding pounds. Just observe and correct. Most of all love yourself right where you are at. This is a temporary set back only. Best wishes :flowerforyou:

No, any weight we gain is very upsetting. I have been living in stress for 2 years and I know what you are saying. Chips are my GO-TO. I cannot buy them or I eat them all with careless abandon. That "Crunch" is what I am seeking when stressed. I try to eat carrots or seeds/nuts instead now. Fiber One cereal takes a lot of…

I understand exactly what you are saying. You are not alone. My suggestion would be to read the book PCOS Hidden Epidemic by Thatcher. It will explain a lot to you about PCOS and what to expect. Metformin helps some lose weight. My doctor 12 years ago put me on AVANDIA. I GAINED 50 pounds in 3 months...it is now NOT used…

I know that when I was trying to conceive years ago the reproductive doc would not give me metformin, said it could damage the liver....well duh....all meds can do that....my pc gave it to me and I have been on it for 12 years with not a single issue and my liver and kidney labs say Im fine.

At what point will I choose to not eat out of emotions...I am punishing ME for how I "FEEL" about what someone else did. Why can't I stop that craziness? I tired of weighing 300 pounds. Just saying...
-
Need help on this one also:cry:

I carry all my weight in my stomach....I have looked 5 months pregnant since I was 9 years old  with that being said most PCOS women I know have tummies. I just accept that I have a Pooh Bear look to me....it's part of the disease and I try really hard to accept myself as I am and enjoy life no matter what. Hang in…
