If you are on any medications for you PCOS some of them can cause unhappy tummy when you eat the carb (sugar) heavy foods.

I just finished a round of Provera 2 months ago. Like you they gave me a 10 day supply. It worked as intended in my case with no ill side effects. I started my cycle 3 days after completing the 10 day supply.

Took my first dose today no issues - Happy Dance. Doc is starting me with one dose a day for 2 weeks then increasing to once in morning once in evening.

Met with my physician today and she is putting me on Met. It has been years since I was first on the med and did not take it long at all as I conceived. I never suffered the ill side effects everyone is talking about. My question - What tips do I need to know when taking this med? I am already reducing the daily intake of…

I conceived my son when on Metformin. He is my 'surprise' child. My husband and I never thought we would have another child after all we went through for our daughter then surprise after a few months on Met I realized I was preg. Was not our intent, we not really trying. Yes there is hope.

I am very encouraged. She listened to me and addressed my concerns. Loved that she did not jump straight to writing a script or changing up current medications without looking at up to date blood work. She gave me options and let me be in control of the direction I want to go with my management. I go tomorrow for my blood…

20. You must be lazy because you are overweight. If it was only that easy to exercise and the pounds melt off as it does for someone without PCOS.

My doctor placed me on Spironolactone and it has helped a lot. I used to have dark fine growth on my toes, stomach and arms. All those places have all but stopped. My problem area now is the chin. It helped to slow down the growth but it is still there. My primary increased the dose as much she is comfortable. However I…

My experience is with weight loss I regulate my cycles. I see it very possible. You might want to consider speaking with your doc about options of intervention to reg your cycles more reg. I only mention this because the longer you go without the thicker you lining will get and it increases the risk of uterine cancer. It…

I just had an appointment with my PCOS doctor. Was my first visit with her and this is one of the medications we discussed putting me on. But before she does I have to take a 2hr Glucose Tolerance test. After we get those results back we are going to revisit if Met is a good fit for me. I was blindly put on Met when I…

Met with the specialist yesterday for the first time. She agrees with the PCOS DX and we discussed several treatment paths for all symptoms I display. I have to get blood work drawn before we put a plan in place so we have the full picture. I return in a few weeks.

We actually have the book Five Love Languages did a study on it at Church some time back. I found the book so insightful I bought the Five Love Languages for Children. Its not something we fight about as much as we have different experiences from the same event. It only really comes up when we have opportunity to share the…

My primaries doc office just called and I have been scheduled in with a specialist in a few weeks.

Understanding what it is like a refreshing feeling. I recently told my husband that I get it that he does not get it because he is not built that way. I think he sees my sadness of being robbed as not understanding his side of standing in the hallway as they wheeled me away not knowing the outcome of me or our son.

My last delivery was very traumatic ending with the strong advise to not have any additional children.
I'm really sorry to hear that. :(
Thank you - My husband does not get why I am sad because of this. We have three beautiful children and likely we would not have any additional at this point with the…

Spiro definitely helped me with my acne and hair growth! But, do not take if TTC! :)
Thanks for the advice. TTC is not in my future. My last delivery was very traumatic ending with the strong advise to not have any additional children.

My physician recently put me in spiro for this reason. It has slowed the growth she has upped my dosage to the max allowed. Recently started cutting back on my carbs hoping that will help as well.

My doc offered me a referral to a PCOS Doc I am guessing that would be an endo? I told her not right now lets see what I can get on track with diet change but I'm second guessing that decision after reading some of the info here.

Wow diagnosed at 12. When I was 17 I kept telling my doc something was not right but kept getting told I was young and my body needed time to adjust. It was not until I was married and starting a family with my husband many years later I finally received my diagnosis. Glad to met you both Emylee and Wilsonmc.

Your right they don't get it- they try to be kind and say kind things and all you want is to scream and cry and them hold you and let you and not say a word. It will get better. The possibilities are endless in growing your family. Don't loose hope. The road was long, I was finally able to have 3 beautiful children.

I have. When husband and I was trying desperately to get preg my sister found out she was preg. She concerned telling us because she knew what we were going through. I had my moment of its not fair and cried my eyes out in my pillow not wanting to ever get out of bed again, when she was not around. But it was that a…

Personally I feel weighing in daily sets you up for failure. You get too discouraged from lack of daily movement. This is a slow and steady journey. Stay focused on your diet, activity and water the movement will come. Trust how your clothes feel when you put them on they tell the bigger story of what is going on with your…

I am 43 and have 3 children. My first was just a matter of perfect timing coming off of bc pills. Our second we tried for 5 years before seeking fertility help. An additional year of various fertility treatments with no success, depressed decided to stop treatment. It was then I became pregnant. It was a few years after…

Dragonwolf will checkout your blog. Edurham great information. Recently I have been cutting back on the carbs but I struggle wrapping my mind around the high fat side of low carb. How can that be OK? I am waiting for information to be mailed to me from my Dr. She also offered to send me to a PCOS specialist if I wish.…

Bake_Queen I have found the most effective way to loose the weight is limit the carb intake. I had been on Metformin in the past and did not notice a weight difference. I discontinued taking because I became preg with my 2nd child.
