anyone know where i can find the newest season online? i got all caught up on netflix, but then on demand only has the latest few episodes. so i am missing like the first 10 of the current season... must. watch. in. order.

read this... "The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business" by Charles Duhigg http://www.amazon.com/dp/081298160X i have recommended it to many people for different reasons. highly recommend it!!

oatmeal + almond butter + dash cinnamon if you go the greek yogurt route, be sure to look for 2% - 100000000x better for you than "fat free" crap

i have to carefully watch my numbers for similar reasons. talk to your pcp or cardiologist about getting access to a nutritionist that can read/understand your test results. i was prescribed a higher fat diet - gasp!!! fat doesn't make you fat OR give you bad cholesterol. <<shocking news for some. you do have to…

LOVE that you have a smile in every darn picture! hehe congrats on the progress *and* donating your hair. i donated recently and it was so much more exciting than i thought it would be!

if you get a diagnosis (rheumatologist for me), you can get a prescription for physical therapy at the same time. learning how to get something back into place is a good skill to have - as strange as it may sound!! you are doing the right thing by trying to move and esp strength training. always make sure you have proper…

if you are going to track your calories, you pretty much have to measure somehow. most of us didn't get here bc we ate the right portions!! lol this process is really about retraining your brain (how much, of what, how often, etc), and for long enough to retrain your habits. i started using a food scale in the past couple…

although hypermobile folks tend to flock to yoga (bc they are good at it) - it actually can be bad unless you are able to control your body. most people are trying to get into a pose, where when you are hypermobile, you need to have the control not to go past a pose. if you are hypermobile, your muscles are chronically…

bendie here as well... i'm not severe as your description reads, but here are a few things i can pass along... - be patient (hard to do, i know). - track what you eat here, do your research to figure out numbers, and eat at a deficit. <<this really is 80% of weight loss, which will go a long way to feeling better AND…

lying in the "other" direction is great when it finally happens!! :)

i'm *still* adjusting my mirrors 2+ weeks later after a friend who is a foot taller than me drove my car... so it is true. :-p

hahahahahaha!!!

haha... idk, i'm laughing!!! and just in case the person's "mbr" really is 1065... as a female at 5'4" i would have to weigh about 80 lbs to have that "mbr"
-
^^stealing this idea. my bmr (<<newbies, search for that term) wouldn't EVER be as low as 1200. eta - and i'm short!!

do you have a bed bath and beyond near you? they have a good selection, and you can use the 20% coupons too. :)

^^this and many other things already said in this thread. sometimes you can't avoid the chemicals, sometimes you can. i do when i can, figuring it balances out when i can't. ideas (some already stated): almonds/almond butter/peanut butter avocados olive oil sesame oil (so good on any veggies) 2% greek yogurt (NOT fat free)…

why in the world would you want another thing on your wrist? get a bluetooth hrm. there are only a couple out there - figure out which one works with your phone, etc... i have the polar one (h7?) and it works great. for using your hrm, endomondo is a great app because you can change the kind of workout (unlike some apps…

^^this. why are you watching sugar? did your doctor tell you to? if not, just re-read what this person already wrote. :)

i can't speak to the warmth factor of the old navy pants, but i like them for indoors. BUT order online and get the petite. they run long (length and torso)... i have some petite and some not. let's just say it isn't a fantastic look to have to pull up the pants during a class or out in public!!
-
it is not an OR it is an AND - esp if you want everything. if you want every day movement = fitbit, if you want exercise = HRM. i have both and together they are a great motivator!!

i asked a friend about this (he is a cop) and he said don't carry pepper spray. it never works out that it is effectively used. i got a really loud whistle instead. it goes right on the house keys - which will go with me if i drive or walk. i use a carabiner and keep it clipped to the front strap of my sports bra (near my…

also fat doesn't make you gain wait. fat is a very important part of your diet. however, saturated fat is not the good kind and should be avoided/not have large quantities. i am to eat 35% fat per drs orders. most days i never have a problem hitting my fat goal and still staying under for saturated fat. i have blood tests…

fat is a goal you TRY to hit. saturated fat is a goal you try to stay AT or UNDER. from the person above, i recommend probiotics to everyone. they are good for so many many things.

gracias courtisshort! i used your code. :)

have you ever taken a bellydancing class? the stereotypical shaking your mid-section/butt actually is mostly done by your legs and some glutes - not much at all by your abs or the rest of your body. try it once with an instructor. it is major major leg work and very concentrated to specific areas. very few people will be…

i have no problem getting enough fiber without any supplements. like others have said, switch out anything white (bread, rice, wraps, etc) for whole wheat and eat your veggies. i do eat fiber one bars, but not to hit a fiber goal. they are probably better than the supplements if you need an extra fiber boost. if your body…

i second the probiotics!! great for your immune system in general. esp since antibiotics can kill the good germs that are supposed to live in your body. netipots are good too... never got to using them everyday, but great to clear things out - esp after being outside with lots of pollen or cleaning with lots of dust.
-
there are all different kinds of sinus surgeries - so hard to comment on that. be sure you get a good allergist that is also immunology. an ent will most likely be a surgeon and want to cut (bc that is what they do). treat your allergies consistently so that your sinuses have a fighting chance when a virus comes along.…

also hypermobile and injury prone. general advice is listen to your body. pain is a sign to stop/modify. ice ice and more ice (and i still hate ice). focus on form of everything. build strength since your muscles need to work more bc your tendons don't stop your joints as soon as they should. re numbness. this can be in…
