Dresses I bought last summer are all way to big now and need to be altered. I went from,a size 20 jeans to a size 14 and I wear a size twelve zip up dress pants! I don't think I've ever worn a size 12! I never even owned a dress almost a year ago when I started this site and hadn't felt comfortable in a dress for many,…

Hi! I'm Tess and have been a member of MFP for almost a year and a member of this group as well. I've been "inactive" in the group because when I started, nobody was posting, so I'm happy to reconnect and get to know you all. I have been able to drop just shy of 50# and have managed to stay within a couple of pounds over…

Nothing is simple in this autoimmune world! It sounds like having more than one disease is very common. Oh,, I forgot I also have thyroid disease. I have totally changed to a much more fresh foods and organic when I can find it diet. I don't eat beef or pork and have totally given up soda. I feel it's really helping me on…

Everybody wants to lose it all quickly, but slowly gives your body time to adjust and the weight stays off better, but only with continued maintenance efforts. You can't just go back to your old habits. Healthy is what's important, but of course you look amazing too! I noticed right away how you look much younger and…

1. The scare I had when I felt a hard bump on my lower back...only to find out it was my tail bone. 2. The dresses I am spending money on now that my legs are no longer huge. 3. Needing to buy a beach towel because for the first time in...I can't recall how long, I said yes to a pool party. 4. Having to spend more money on…

Thank you ladies for your responses! I know you are dealing with this daily as well and that helps to know you understand. However, I wouldn't wish any of this on anybody!!! I'm still researching and trying to learn all I can. I think you are amazing to be able to deal with all of this! I will put you all in my prayers.…

Thank you so much for your help. My emotions seem to be all over the place and I am trying to research so I can try to understand it better. Also, studying concentration of anti-inflammatory foods. I have worked hard to lose weight and I have 27lbs. to go. I do not want to lose ground in that battle either, but for the 5…

Hello! Is this group defunct? I'm hoping not:(

My sister told me that I am NOT supposed to be smaller than her. Nobody told me that rule! Worse is my friend who reminded me that MY boobs used to weigh something. I'm a breast cancer survivor who had to have a double mastectomy...WHAT?!?!
-
Look at those Rosie cheeks, you look great!
-
Sue, I am so proud of you and inspired by you as well. You are very courageous for facing the tough truth and it reminds me of having to face the truth of what I look like after fighting breast cancer and having to have a double mastectomy without the possibility of any reconstructive surgery due to severe skin burns from…

To me it meant being down in the one hundreds, NEVER to see a number 2 at the beginning of your weight again! I can see though where the man was coming from who lost one hundred pounds! That's quite an accomplishment and should be celebrated. Now he has another wonderland to look forward to celebrating!!!!

You used to look so sad, miserable miserable and unhealthy before. Now you look radiant, gorgeous, young and full of vigour!!! Congrats for totally reinventing yourself!!! You should be so proud of yourself! :-)

This is why I hesitate to post anything on the community boards...people feel like it's perfectly OK to belittle someone who is just trying to get done what they are here for. Lose weight and get healthy! If you can't say something to help a person, then don't say anything. We are supposed to use these boards to share…

Good for you! Change things up a bit and see what happens. Remember...everyday is a new opportunity to start fresh:smile:

Not only do you look healthier, but a lot younger as well! Thanks for the inspiration! I hope your wife is doing well. I too am a survivor of stage three breast cancer, and it will soon be 13 yrs without a recurrence!! I praise God for His glory and goodness to me!

I'm one of those people who weighs herself everyday, so it's not the drinking less water those days to weight less. I do think I probably don't get enough magnesium or potassium and will start supplements. The soap thing sounds interesting and I am willing to try it and all of your suggestions to get relief. Thanks so much…
