  • I really think you need more protein. You're high in sodium but always have left over protein. If you find it hard to eat maybe you should look at a protein supplement like whey protein or soya protein. You can find it with low calories and very low 3-4% carbs but 70-80% protein. This would really help. Usually you can mix…
  • I like this. I too am an unabashed optimist. It is good. And a think a congratulations is also in order. It's one thing to say it - it's another to do it.
  • This is what I was thinking too.
  • I agree with this. If you don't feel like you're over doing it and you are being honest with yourself AND refueling - then all is good.
  • I love Kaysays John West Skipjack - Tuna Salad from a Mediterranean Recipe. One can is 190 calories and it tastes great put onto Ryvita Original Crackerbread or Rye crackers.
  • I sometimes wonder what mine weigh...but they are a part of me so...I don't know. Sometimes I feel like we deserve a bit of extra leeway in our weight because of them. I found out my real measurements today. 32DD. Yep. I had no idea! lol. When I have kids (if they're girls) I am totally teaching them how to know what size…
  • This website has EVERYTHING ... pretty much ...including stretching - I love it. http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc
  • Thank you SO much for your story! Seriously. I am at 146 right now and 5'7". I used to be 167 so we are very much alike in our journeys. It is so good to know it CAN BE DONE and I will do it. This is my second week of taking MFP seriously and reloving running and paying attention to my yoga practice again. I'm feeling…
  • Yes - cycling to work is awesome for exactly those reasons :) Nice.
  • Your body can become used to it fairly soon although it is always a bit painful. My favourite trick on myself is to have my workout clothes right beside my bed so I put them on right away and go straight to whatever I am doing. Whether it is a run or yoga...just don't give yourself a chance to say no. You can definitely do…
  • Thank you for asking this question! lol
  • oh I know aspartame is BAAAAD!!! But I do love my sprite zero and coke zero and even some diet dr pepper. Not every day...hmmm...what can I have instead?
  • Not sure if anyone's said this - BUT - you could set it to 1lb per week (very normal weight loss) and then as you lose MFP will adjust how many calories you need. 1200 for someone just starting is not enough. If it gives you 1600 to start with, it is also factoring in your weight. AS you lose weight the amount of calories…
  • I also am on 1200 calories. Definitely EAT your exercise calories. So many threads talk about exercise calories and NOT eating them - but this will bring your actual calorie intake to dangerously low levels. I usually have 30-70 calories left at the end of my day and I don't eat those. Feel free to look at my diary. This…
  • Holland and Barrett has it. Don't buy the box...buy the bag. It is definitely cheaper. I used to work there :)
  • The best sports bra I have EVER had is the one I own now called Shock Absorber. I am a large B but I used to be a D and I THINK it comes for bigger sizes than that too. It is amazing. I go for a run...no bouncing around. No pain. I don't feel self conscious to be jumping around...because the ladies DON'T MOVE. Amazing. It…
  • Awesome!! Keep up the hard work!
  • Yup. 8 x 250ml per day. But I think that might include the water you get in the things like apples and stuff...but it's best to drink that much. It helps with weight loss anyways :) and helps with all sorts of other things like headaches and energy levels!
  • That is fantastic! Great job!!! I used to weigh myself everyday but I am now going to only weigh myself once a week. I think it will be more encouraging and show real results rather than the daily ups and downs.
  • I think that as long as you're getting protein into your drinks as well, you should be fine. Sugar is fairly high in fruit juices so you could see if you like carrot or beetroot juice...less calories too :) Carrot juice mixes really nicely with other fruit juices and there are some really good protein powders out there.…
  • http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc This website is amaaaazing!! It tells you how many calories you burn for anything. Everything. Crunches, lunges, weights, etc, etc, etc...
  • First of all - congratulations. You look fabulous. And second of all...how tall are you? I am always wondering how tall people are when they show their photos. Maybe you've mentioned it but just curious. I weigh 141 right now and I'm 5'7" and I do not feel like I look like other women who are in this weight range. Thanks!

  • I also have a shock absorber. Amazing!!! and they make your boobs look GREAT!
  • don't be discouraged! It could totally be water weight but I would say your body needs time to adjust to this new routine and is probably panicking. Give it a month and see where you stand then. Stick with it :)
  • There are women who get migraines related to their time. I think it has to do with fluctuating hormones. I usually get really really bizarre dreams the night or two before. I work in a health supplement store and there are two things they recommend for migraine prevention - One is Feverfew and the other is Gingko Biloba.…
  • Definitely eat your exercise calories. :)
  • I wonder if they're including fruit sugars and things like that when considering the 30g goal. Maybe that should be 30g of refined sugars - that would be more than enough. It's my fruit that really gets me by the end of the day. I usually count what I've had as far as refined sugar and go by that as an accurate measurement.
  • This may be TMI but when I'm coming close to "that time of month" I ALWAYS without fail gain 7 pounds and then afterwards I lose it again. For about a week I am half a stone heavier than usual. It can be SO frustrating. Sodium can for sure make you retain water and bloat and that will easily add 5lbs. It will be gone again…
  • You can definitely do it! All you have to do is follow the formula. That's it. I have lost 2 pounds in 20 days...and I've been going over my calories on quite a few days. My diary is open if you ever want to check it out. As long as you are honest about what you've eaten and put it all on there and stick with it - you WILL…
